One Component and Audio Input, Eight Component and
Audio Outputs. The 1:8 Component Audio Distribution
Amplifier is the perfect solution for anyone who needs to
mirror one video with audio source to multiple displays. The
1:8 Component Audio Distribution Amplifier has eight video
and audio outputs, one Component input and one Audio
input.
How It Works
Connect your Component video and Audio source to the
1:8 Component Audio Distribution Amplifier’s input using
the supplied Component with audio cable. Then connect up
to eight Component displays to the 1:8 Component Audio
Distribution Amplifier. Then, power the 1:8 Component
Audio Distribution Amplifier. The Component displays
attached to the 1:8 Component Audio Distribution Amplifier
must all support the same resolution as the source in order to
get a picture.

Gefen’s line of HDTV switches, extenders, and splitters are designed to make yourA/V
equipment use more comfortable, more productive and less expensive.
Gefen’s 1x8 ComponentAudio DAis a distribution hub that sends the same video out-
put to two or more HDTV digital screens. It is a flexible solution that accommodates mul-
tiple displays. When two or more 1x8 Component Audio DAs are connected together,
they can be used to create a larger distribution.
The 1x8 Component Audio DA is connected using a Component video and audio cable
from the HDTV source to the 1x8 Component Audio DA input. There are eight Compo-
nent video and audio outputs. Digital and/or analog audio can be distributed using this
device.
The ex•tend•it line offers solutions for noise, space and security concerns, data center
control, information distribution, conference room presentation, school and corporate
training environments.

CONNECTING AND OPERATING THE 1x8 COMPONENT AUDIO DA
How to Connect the 1x8 Component Audio DA to your devices
1- Connect the supplied Component cable from the HDTV device into the Component
Input.
2- Connect either a SPDIF digital audio or RCA left and right analog audio cable into the
Component Audio Input.
3- Connect the cables from your displays (monitor or projector) into the Component Out
slots on the 1x8 Component Audio DA
4- Plug the 5v power supply into the 1x8 Component Audio DA.
5- Plug the 5v wallmount power supply into the wall outlet.
Note - Composite video can also be fed into the component video input to split and
distribute composite video.

Gefen Inc. warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material
and workmanship.
If equipment fails because of such defects and Gefen Inc. is notified within two
(2) year from the date of shipment, Gefen Inc. will, at its option, repair or replace
the equipment, provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical,
electrical, or other abuse or modifications.
Equipment that fails under conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the
current price of parts and labor in effect at the time of repair. Such repairs are warranted
for ninety (90) days from the day of reshipment to the Buyer.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without
limitation, any implied warranty or merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose,
all of which are expressly disclaimed.
1. Proof of sale may be required in order to claim warranty.
2. Customers outside the US are responsible for shipping charges to and from Gefen.
3. Copper cables are limited to a 30 day warranty and cable must be free from any
scratches, markings, and neatly coiled.
