Anschluss des Gerätes
Die nebenstehende Abbildung zeigt sämtliche Anschlüsse
und Bedienelemente des CANobserver®.
Für den Betrieb ist eine 24 V leinspannung SELV (früher
auch “Schutzkleinspannung”) erforderlich. Diese ist über
den mitgelieferten Steckverbinder am Gerät
anzuschließen (Polarität beachten). Der ontakt mit der
Bezeichnung „PE“ ist für den Potentialausgleich
vorgesehen. Die "ON"-LED leuchtet grün, wenn die
Betriebsspannung zur Verfügung steht.
Zugriff auf das Gerät
Das Gerät wird werksseitig mit folgender statischer Netzwerkkonfiguration ausgeliefert:
•NetBIOS Name: CANobserver
•IP Adresse: 192.168.0.254
•Subnetz Maske: 255.255.255.0
Um Einstellungen zu ändern, benötigen Sie Zugriff auf das Webinterface des Gerätes. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor:
•Verbinden Sie das Gerät direkt mit dem PC über ein geeignetes Netzwerkkabel
•Ändern Sie die Netzwerkeinstellung des PC, so dass sich dieser im selben Subnetz wie das Gerät befindet.(Bsp.: PC IP
Adresse: 192.168.0.10, PC Subnetz Maske: 255.255.255.0)
•Öffnen Sie anschließend Ihren Webbrowser und geben Sie in der Adresszeile die nachfolgende URL ein:
http://192.168.0.254 oder http://CANobserver. Daraufhin öffnet sich die Startseite des Gerätes. Stellen Sie sicher,
dass JavaScript im Webbrowser aktiviert ist.

Quick start guide
Connecting the Device
The adjoining illustration shows all connections and
operational controls of the CANobserver®.
For operation a 24 V DC safety extra-low voltage (SELV)
is needed which has to be connected to the device via the
included connector (pay attention to the polarity). The
contact carrying the marking „PE“ is intended to be used
for potential equalization. If supply voltage is available for
the device the "ON"-LED is flashed green.
Access to the Device
The device is delivered factory-made with the following static network configuration:
•NetBIOS name: CANobserver
•IP Address: 192.168.0.254
•Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
To change these and other settings, you will need access to the web interface of the device. To this end, proceed as follows:
•Connect the device directly to the PC using an appropriate network cable
•Change the network settings of the PC such that the PC and the CANobserver® are in the same subnet
(e.g.: PC IP address: 192.168.0.10, PC subnet mask: 255.255.255.0)
•Subsequently, open your web browser and type the following URL in the address line:
http://192.168.0.254 or http://CANobserver. The CANobserver® start page is then displayed.
Make sure JavaScript is activated in your web browser.
