Operation
DIRECT MODE BOTH FUNCTIONS
AUTOMATIC RESET (Reset Switch terminals not wire ) When the
liqui rises to the electro e on terminal LLCO, the control energizes,
changing state of the loa contacts. (LED will be lit) The control re-
mains energize until the liqui level rece es below electro e on
terminal LLCO. The control then e-energizes, (LED will not be lit)
returning loa contacts to original state. Unless otherwise specifie ,
there is a three secon time elay on ecreasing level. Liqui must
be below probe on terminal LLCO for a full three secon s before con-
trol e-energizes.
MANUAL RESET (Normally close pushbutton installe across reset
terminals) When the liqui rises to the electro e on terminal LLCO,
the control will remain e-energize until the pushbutton is e-
presse . Upon Reset Swtich activation, the control will energize,
(LED will be lit) changing the state of the contacts. The control re-
mains energize until the liqui level rece es below electro e on
terminal LLCO. The control then e-energizes, (LED will not be lit)
returning loa contacts to their original state. Unless otherwise spec-
ifie , there is a three secon time elay on ecreasing level. Liqui
must be below probe on terminal LLCO for full three secon s before
control e-energizes. Operator to wait 5 full secon s after power is
applie before pressing reset switch (if manual reset is use ).
H-L Function: When the liqui rises to the electro e on terminal H,
the associate relay energizes, changing the state of the loa con-
tacts. (LED will be lit). The relay remains energize until the liqui
level rece es below electro e on terminal L. The associate relay
then e-energizes, (LED will not be lit) returning loa contacts to
original state. Unless otherwise specifie , there is a one half secon
time elay on increasing level. Liqui must be in contact with probe
on terminal H for a full half-
second before control energizes. This function c n be wired for
single level service by using only the H termin l.
INVERSE MODE
LLCO Function: LLCO lw ys functions in direct mode only see
bove for oper tion.
H-L Function: Associ ted rel y energizes with power, (LED will be
lit) ch nging the st te of the lo d cont cts. When the liquid rises to
the electrode on termin l H, the rel y de-energizes, returning lo d
cont cts to shelf st te. (LED will not be lit). The ssoci ted rel y
rem ins de-energized until the liquid level recedes below electrode
on termin l L. The rel y then energizes.
TEST FEATURE
Allows LLCO circuit to be tested without the need to drop the w ter
level in the boiler to cre te dry probe condition. Holding down the
reset button for 3 seconds will llow the LLCO circuit to trip, simul t-
ing dry probe. The controller will return to norm l oper tion once
the reset button is pressed second time.
LED St tus Indic tor In norm l oper tion, the LED on the control
will either be on or off depending on the controller st te. On-bo rd
microprocessors continuously monitor for f ult conditions. In the
event f ult is detected, the LED will blink p ttern indic ting the
f ult type. If you experience n inoper ble control nd the LED is
blinking, ttempt to le ve the control in the blinking st te nd con-
t ct the f ctory for ssist nce.
Options
M nu l Reset with option l Power Out ge Fe ture: The Power
Out ge option, used in conjunction with the M nu l Reset option,
elimin tes the need for m nu l reset in the event of power out-
ge during norm l boiler oper tion. With the Power Out ge option, if
there is loss of power with liquid present on the LLCO probe, the
control will self-reset (energize) IF liquid is still present on the LLCO
probe t the time when power is re-est blished. If the control did not
h ve liquid on the LLCO probe t the time of the power out ge, or if
there is no liquid present t the time power is re-est blished, the
control will de-energize nd rem in so until liquid g in rises to the
LLCO probe nd the M nu l Reset pushbutton is depressed.
Time Del ys ssoci ted with termin ls H nd L : With time del y on
incre sing level, the liquid must be in cont ct with the high electrode
for the full dur tion of the time del y before control will oper te. With
del y on decre sing level, the liquid must be below the low elec-
trode for the full dur tion of the time del y before control will oper-
te.
Time Del ys ssoci ted with termin l LLCO: 3 Second time del y
on decre sing level is st nd rd.
