Di speciale interesse per gli utilizzatori di centri di lavoro a 5 assi, le morse MULTITASKING presentano le stesse caratteristiche
costruttive illustrate per le morse della serie FMS e MULTIFLEX (accuratamente retticate in acciaio ad alta resistenza cementato
trattato termicamente).
Nata espressamente per i centri a 5 assi, la gamma MULTITASKING permette di intervenire sulle 5 facce del particolare in lavorazione
con riferimenti precisi in spazi contenuti garantendo usure inesistenti e grande rigidità. Possibilità di ausilio di sistemi meccanici o
idraulici o pneumatici. Ganasce da 74 a 140 mm.
Ancoraggio diretto o tramite staffe / Posizionamento tramite fori calibrati o chiavette / Eccentriche: possibilità di disassamento
centraggio per multipli di 1 mm (Auto-centraggio fuori asse) / Autocentranti con serraggi concentrici dall’esterno all’interno e

vises, (Heat treatment and ground steel contruction throughout).
Designed for 5 axis machines, MULTITASKING series of vises allow machining opareations on the 5 workpieces sides with perfect
alignment in a space saving design, extremenly high wear resistence, with reduced deection.Possibility of mechanic or hydraulic or
pneumatic devices application. Jaws widhts from 75 to 140 mm.

Uso di ganasce speciali
Use of special jaws
In caso di utilizzo di ganasce speciali bisogna osservare le seguenti regole:
- Utilizzare ganasce quanto più basse possibili. Il punto di serraggio deve essere quanto più vicino alla vite di azionamento
per poter mantenere una corretta forza di serraggio
- Per punti di serraggio molto alti la forza di serraggio diminuisce,
- Non utilizzare ganasce saldate
In case of use of special jaws, it is essential to follow these rules:
- Use jaws as low as possible. The clamping point must be as close as possible to the seat in order to ensure the
correct clamping force.
- In case of high clamping points, the clamping force decreases.
- Do not use welded jaws

Avvertenze di sicurezza
Safety information
ATTENZIONE
Pericolo di lesioni al personale di esercizio in caso di mancato serraggio del pezzo e successiva
proiezione dello stesso per superamento dei dati tecnici!
- I dati tecnici della morsa Multitasking non devono mai essere superati in caso di utilizzo.
- La morsa può essere utilizzata solo su macchine ed attrezzature che soddisfano i requisiti minimi della Direttiva
Macchine 2006/42/CE ed in particolare devono disporre di tutte le protezioni di sicurezza previste contro possibili
proiezioni di residui di lavorazione.
ATTENZIONE
Pericolo di lesioni per l’eventuale caduta della morsa o delle ganasce durante il trasporto, l’installazione
o la rimozione!
- Assicurarsi che la morsa e le ganasce non cadano durante il trasporto, l’installazione o la rimozione.
- Utilizzare gli appositi mezzi di sollevamento per il trasporto della morsa in funzione del peso.
- Installare la morsa Multitasking solamente su macchine provviste delle connessioni adatte.
PRUDENZA
Rischio di schiacciamento derivante dall’apertura e dalla chiusura delle ganasce della morsa durante il
caricamento e lo scaricamento manuale del pezzo da lavorare!
- Non avvicinare le mani in mezzo alle ganasce della morsa.
- Utilizzare i dispositivi di sicurezza individuale (DPI).
- Si consiglia l’utilizzo di un caricamento automatico dei particolari.
PRUDENZA
Rischio di ustioni dovute alle alte temperature raggiunte dai particolari lavorati
- Utilizzare guanti protettivi durante la rimozioni dei particolari.
- Si consiglia l’utilizzo di un caricamento automatico dei particolari.
WARNING
Risk of personnel injuries in case of incorrect clamping of the work-piece and/or failure in respecting
the technical parameters of the vise!
- Technical data of the Multitasking vise must never be exceeded.
- The vise must be mounted on machines and xtures that satisfy the requirements of 2006/42/CE regulations and
must be equipped with all safety devices against the possibility of reject material projections.
WARNING
Risk of personnel injuries in case of fall of the vise or jaws during transportation, installation or removal!
- Ensure that the vise and jaws do not fall during transportation, installation or removal.
- Use the proper lifting means for the transportation of the vise, according to its weight..
- Install the Multitasking vise on machine with proper connections only.
CAUTION
Crush hazard by opening/closing of the jaws during manual loading/downloading of the work-piece!
- Do not put the hands within the jaws.
- Always use Individual Safety devices.
- The automatic loading of the work-piece is suggested.

Le morse della serie MULTITASKING possono essere posizionate orizzontalmente oppure verticalmente sulla tavola della
macchina o su una sovratavola. Il posizionamento e l’allineamento avviene tramite un perno di centraggio art. 640P e chiavette
Art.297 per morse tipo 1 e morse tipo 2, mentre per morse tipo 3 un perno di centraggio art. 640P e 1 perni di posizionamento art.79.
Multitasking series vises can be placed horizontally or vertically on the machine table or on a spacer. The positioning and the
alignment is done by a centering pin ART. 640P and key nuts Art.297 for vises T.1 and T.2, while by a centering pin Art.640P and
positioning pin ART.79 for T.3 vises.

Istruzioni per un corretto posizionamento
Istructions for a proper positioning
Il sistema CONSIGLIATO per l’ancoraggio della morsa sulla tavola è quello tramite STAFFE (Fig.1), in alternativa è possibile
ancorare la morsa tramite i fori presenti sul corpo base (Fig.2), qualora coincidano con quelli presenti sulla tavola.
Se è necessario utilizzare piastre/angie d’interfaccia.
The recommended clamping of the vise on machine table is possible through vise holding clamps ART.298 or through the
holes on the base body, where they overlap with those already present on the machine table.
If necessary use interfaced head plates or anges.

Per un serraggio ripetitivo e una maggiore precisione in fase di chiusura è necessario mantenere una forza costante nel tempo, è
quindi consigliato l’utilizzo di una chiave dinamometrica (Art.357) seguendo i parametri riportati nei graci a pag.12
Per garantire tolleranze centesimali bisogna azzerarsi sul pezzo serrato.
Vericare che i piani di appoggio della morsa non presentino trucioli di precedenti lavorazioni.
Vericare che il pezzo da serrare sia privo di bave e non abbia forme irregolari per evitare lo scivolamento laterale dello stesso in fase
di lavorazione.
Il serraggio di particolari oltre la linea di mezzeria della morsa può ridurre la precisione e l’efcacia della stessa.
L’altezza del pezzo da serrare deve essere rapportata correttamente alla dimensione della ganascia.
L’ utilizzo di ganasce più alte o sovraganasce riduce in proporzione la forza di serraggio e ne peggiora la precisione.
To obtain a better clamping repeatability while locking it is necessary to keep a costant clamping pressure so we recommend to use
the torque wrench ratchet (Art. 357) following the parameters listed on the diagrams on page 12
In order to achieve a centesimal tolerance, it is needed to refer to the workpiece.
Check that the vise surfaces do not present chips of previous machining.
Check that the workpiece has no imperfections or burrs and has no irregular shapes to prevent lateral slipping of the same during ma-
chining. The tightening of particular beyond the centerline of the vise can reduce the accuracy and effectiveness of the vise.
The height of the work piece to be clamped should be properly related to the size of the jaw.
Using higher jaws or stack-type jaws reduces proportionally the clamping force and worsens the precision.

Tramite un serraggio con la ganascia liscia si rimuove il sovrametallo rimanente e si nisce il particolare (Fig.4)
Then through the smooth jaw you can remove the remaining stock allowance from the workpiece and
nish the workpiece (Fig.4)

Per assicurare un corretto funzionamento della morsa Multitasking è necessario rispettare le seguente istruzioni:
• Mantenere ingrassate le superci metalliche esterne
• Nella lavorazione devono essere impiegate solo emulsioni refrigeranti di alta qualità con additivi antiruggine, come quelle prescritte per
l’impiego su centri di lavoro.
• Controllare visivamente la morsa a intervalli regolari.
• Effettuare un controllo più approfondito ogni anno, o al bisogno, eseguendo le seguenti operazioni:
• lavare e lubricare tutti i particolari
• rimontare tutta la morsa e vericare il corretto funzionamento prima dell’utilizzo.
To ensuring the correct operation of Multitasking vise is necessary to respect the following instructions:
• The metallic external surfaces must be maintained oiled;
• During the processing use only high quality coolant emulsions with anti-rust additives, like the ones prescribed for the use on machining
centers;
• Visually check the vise at regular intervals;
• Do a more precise check yearly, or as needed, by doing the following operations:
• Wash and oil all the spare parts;
• Reassemble the vise and check the proper functioning before use.

Montaggio e smontaggio
Vericare che all’interno della guida del corpo base non siano presenti impedimenti che potrebbero causare attriti e conseguente
minor forza di serraggio.
Per una corretta manutenzione e una maggiore vita della morsa procedere come segue :
• Smontare le ganasce A
• Prima di rimuovere le slitte segnarne la posizione così da evitare di invertirle.
• Rimuovere le slitte B azionando la vite principale C mediante una chiave esagonale lunga.
• Lavare e lubricare tutti i particolari
• Rimontare le due slitte in battuta contro la vite principale e mediante una chiave esagonale lunga ruotare in senso antiorario no
ad udire l’innesto dei due letti a quel punto riavvitare contemporaneamente le slitte in senso orario.
• Rimontare le ganasce assicurandosi che il millerighe presente sia perfettamente pulito
• Vericare che la morsa rispecchi le tolleranze come da situazione iniziale.
Check if there are no obstacles inside of the main body that could cause frictions and consequently lower clamping force.
For proper maintenance and longer life of the vise, proceed as follows:
• Remove the jaws A
• Before removing the slides, mark the position in order not to reverse them.
• Remove the slides B by activating the main screw C using a long hexagon wrench.
• Clean and lubricate all the components
• Replace the two slides against the main screw using a long hexagonal wrench, then rotate counter-clockwise until you hear the
coupling of the two threads; nally, screw the slides simultaneously clockwise.
• Mount the jaws assuring that the comb system is perfectly clean.
• Check that the vise reects the tolerances as per the initial situation

perfetta costruzione su tutta la gamma di morse modulari e cubi portapezzi ad azionamento manuale.
Per quanto riguarda i sistemi pneumatici, idraulici e magnetici e teste angolari la garanzia si estende per
12 MESI mentre per portautensili motorizzati a rotazione meccanica la garanzia si estende per 24 MESI.
Per effetto di questa garanzia, la GERARDI SPA si impegna a provvedere alla riparazione o sostituzione di
quelle parti che risultassero difettose per impiego di cattivo materiale o per vizio di costruzione, purchè dette
parti vengano consegnate in ogni caso in porto franco al suo stabilimento. La garanzia non si estende a guasti
o rotture derivati da imperizia, trascuratezza o cattivo uso del prodotto da parte dell’acquirente e cessa qualora
i pagamenti non vengano effettuati dal compratore alle scadenze convenute o quando il prodotto venga
modificato o riparato dall’utilizzatore. Tutti i prodotti Gerardi sono marchiati e riconoscibili a vista.
Su prodotti di dubbia provenienza e non marchiati non sarà riconosciuta nessuna garanzia.

construction of the complete range of modular vises and tombstones with manual control.
As far as pneumatic, hydraulic and magnetic items and angular heads the warranty extends for 12 MONTHS
while for driven tools with mechanical running the warranty extends for 24 MONTHS.
For this warranty GERARDI SPA commits herself to repair or substitute any part which shall result defected
by workmanship or for the use of bad quality material only on condition that such parts shall be delivered
free port to our factory. This warranty does not extend to breakages arising from unskilfulness or carelessness
and negligent use of the items from the buyer side and terminate in case the payments are not made
as agreed and when the item shall be modified or repaired by the user. Each Gerardi item has been branded
and it is easy recognizable at first sight.
On items of uncertain origin and not marked no warranty will be allowed.
