Warnings & Safety Precautions

For safety purpose, you should read the instructions carefully before using the appliance for the rst

time. Save the instructions for future reference. The appliance is designed for domestic use and may

only be installed and operated in accordance with these instructions for use.

1. The appliance is not intended for the use of, and playing with, by persons (including children)

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or any individual lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

2. Keep children away from the appliance. Do not let them use the appliance without supervision.

3. If the power supply cord is damaged, do not operate the appliance. Contact German Pool or a

licensed technician for a replacement immediately.

4. Disconnect the power supply before cleaning, repairing or dismantling the range hood.

5. The range hood must be earthed.

6. Connect the range hood with an independent air vent to exhaust lampblack.

7. The air must not be discharged into a venting pipe that is used for exhausting fumes from

appliances burning gas or other fuels.

8. The connection opening at the top of the range hood must be connected to the exhaust pipe for

exhausting fumes to the outdoors. Exhaust pipe of 6 inches in diameter should be used.

9. The appliance should be positioned 650-700 mm above the cooking range.

10. Do not ambé under the range hood.

11. Please wear safety gloves for installation, cleaning, light bulb changing and dismantling in order to

prevent injuries.

12. To protect electrical parts, do not splash or spray the range hood with water.

13. German Pool range hood has high venting efciency. Most of the grease vapor will be exhausted

through the air vent when the range hood is in operation. Only very little amount of residual oil will

be collected in the Oil Collecting Tray.

14. There should be adequate ventilation in the room when the range hood is used along with

appliances that burn gas or other fuels.

15. Regulations concerning the discharge of air have to be fullled.

16. To prevent re hazard in case of oil build-up, the easily-soiled parts must be cleaned at least once

a week.

Installation Instructions

1. Installation must be carried out by qualied technicians authorized or recognized by German Pool.

2. Please tear off the protective lm on the body of the range hood before installation.

3. Plug in and check that all switches are functional before installation.

4. For efcient air extraction, avoid opening too many windows surrounding the range hood. (Fig. 1)

5. Install the range hood directly above the stove. (Fig. 2)

6. The installation of the range hood should remain horizontal and level, in order to prevent oil from

spilling over from oil collectors. (Fig. 3)

7. The installation height is measured vertically from center of fan guard to the top of the stove.

Recommended height is 650-700 mm. (Fig. 4)

8. The range hood exhaust pipe is 6 inches. If using exhaust duct (optional accessory), duct must

match the diameter of the vent connector of the range hood (ie. 6 inches).

9. To reduce the risk of re, only metallic duct must be used.

10. The length of the exhaust duct should be minimized to avoid creating air turbulence inside the

duct. Short and straight duct runs will provide the most air ow.

11. The lampblack from the range hood must not be discharged into a chimney that is used for

exhausting fumes from other appliances burning gas or other fuels.

12. The exhaust duct must be vented to the outdoors.

Power

Press to turn on product. The range hood will run at the fan speed used last time. User can select fan

speed by pressing repeatedly to cycle among High, Medium and Low speeds; press repeatedly

to cycle LED Light among High, Medium and low brightness.

Thermo-Sense Auto Start Function

When range hood detects a temperature of 55℃-60℃, it will automatically run for 30 seconds, then

automatically turn off.

Gesture Control Turbo Boost Function

When range hood is in operation, wave your hand under the Gesture Control Turbo Boost Detector to

activate Turbo Boost Mode for 30 seconds. If user wishes to turn off Turbo Boost within 30 seconds,

simply wave again and range hood will return to original mode.

Degrease Function (Automatic)

• After using 20 minutes, the Degrease Function will automatically enter to standby condition, and

Degrease Function Indicator Light will start ashing.

• After the motor stops running, the range hood will activate Degrease Function for 15 min & 30

sec, and Degrease Function Indicator Light will light up.

• Product will automatically generate heat to dissolve grease for 15 minutes, then enter delay shut

off function for 30 seconds to exhaust the hot air and grease by using the last selected speed.

After that, the product will turn off automatically.

Degrease Function (Manual)

• Long-press2 seconds to manually activate Degrease Function. Range hood will degrease for

15min & 30sec, and Degrease Function Indicator Light will light up.

• Product will generate heat to dissolve grease for 15 minutes, then enter delay shut off function

for 30 seconds to exhaust the hot air and grease by using the last selected speed. After that, the

product will automatically turn off.

• During degreasing, if user wishes to cancel, press. Product will run for 30 seconds to exhaust

residual hot air and grease, then product will automatically turn off.

Cleaning & Maintenance

WARNING!

Unplug the product from the power source before cleaning and maintenance.

To allow for best performance and to prolong the life of the appliance, the range hood must be cleaned

at least once a week:

1. After each use, wipe the product housing and bottom cover plate with dry cloth or wet cloth with

mild detergent to keep it clean and sanitized.

2. DO NOT splash or spray the range hood with water.

Cleaning the Oil Dish and Oil Cup

1. DO NOT let oil dishes and oil cups ll to over 4/5 of their capacity in order to avoid oil spilling over.

Empty the dirty oil dishes and oil cups regularly.

2. To remove the rectication plate, unscrew the screws, hold onto both sides of the plate and pull

forward to release. (Fig. 1)

3. To remove the oil dish from the fan guard, twist the oil dish to the left. Clean with water and deter-

gent, rinse and dry, then reinstall back onto the fan guard by twisting it to the right. (Fig. 2)

4. To remove the oil cup, pull it forward by hand. When reinstalling, place oil cup in the cup groove

and push it back all the way in. (Fig. 3)

Troubleshooting

In the event of the following general malfunctions, please follow the instructions below. If the problem

cannot be solved or other malfunctions happen, stop using the range hood immediately, cut off the

power supply and contact Customer Service & Repair Centre.

Problem

Range hood is on, but fan

and/or light do not work
