Act", compliance with the information contained in this brochure (product information and intended use, misuse,
product performance, product maintenance, obligations to provide information and instructions) must be en-
sured. Failure to comply releases the manufacturer from their statutory liability.
1 Safety notices
To ensure personal safety, it is important to follow these safety instructions.
These instructions must be kept.
1.1 Intended use
The hook bolt lock Lock M is only suitable for use
àin dry rooms,
àin automatic door systems for horizontal door leaves,
àin entrances and interior areas of pedestrian trac in commercial plants and public areas.
The hook bolt lock Lock M must not be used on re and smoke protection doors.
1.2 Safety notices
àThe mandatory installation, maintenance and repair work must be performed by properly trained personnel
authorised by GEZE.
àThe country-specic laws and regulations are to be observed during safety-related tests.
àIf unauthorised changes are made to the system, GEZE cannot be held liable in any way whatsoever for any
resulting damage, and the approval for use in escape and rescue routes ceases.
àGEZE makes no guarantee for combinations with third-party products.
àFurthermore, only original GEZE parts may be used for repair and maintenance work.
àThe connection to the mains voltage must be made by a professional electrician. Perform the power connec-
tion and equipment earth conductor test in accordance with VDE 0100 Part 610.
àUse an on-site 10-A overload cut-out as the line-side disconnecting device.
àIn compliance with Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), a risk analysis must be performed and the door system
identied in accordance with CE Marking Directive 93/68/EEC before the door system is commissioned.
àObserve the current status of directives, standards and country-specic regulations, especially:
àDIN 18650 “Automatic door systems – product requirements and test methods”and
EN 16005 “Power-operated pedestrian doorsets – safety in use – requirements and test methods”
àVDE 0100, Part 610 "Installing Electrical Power Systems with Nominal Voltages up to 1000 V"
àAccident-prevention regulations, especially BGV A1 "General regulations" and BGV A2 "Electrical systems
and equipment"
àDIN EN 60335-2-103 "Household and similar electrical appliances; Particular requirements for drives for
gates, doors and windows"

Safety notices
1.3 Safety conscious working
àSecure workplace against unauthorised entry.
àWatch swivelling range of long system parts.
àNever carry out work with a high safety risk (e.g. installing the drive, cover or door leaf) while alone.
àSecure the cover/drive panels against falling.
àOnly use the cables prescribed in the cable plan provided. Lay shields in compliance with the wiring diagram.
àSecure loose, internal drive cables with cable ties.
àBefore working on the electrical system:
àDisconnect the drive from the 230 V mains and check to ensure that it is not supplied with power.
àDisconnect the control unit from the 24 V rechargeable battery.
àWhen an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is used, the system will still be under voltage even when
disconnected from the mains.
àAlways use insulated wire-end ferrules for wire cores.
àAttach safety stickers to glass leaves.
àDanger of injury with opened drive. Hair, clothing, cables, etc. can be drawn in by rotating parts.
àDanger of injury caused by unsecured crushing, impact, drawing-in or shearing spots.
àDanger of injury due to broken glass!
àDanger of injury due to sharp edges in the drive.
àDanger of injury during installation through freely moving parts.
1.4 Inspection of the installed system
Measures for protection and prevention of pinching, impact, shearing or drawing-in spots:
àCheck the function of safety sensors and movement detectors.
àCheck protective earth connection to all metal parts that can be touched.
àPerform a safety analysis (risk analysis).
1.5 Environmentally conscious working
àWhen disposing of the door system, separate the dierent materials and have them recycled.
àDo not dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries with household waste.
àComply with the statutory regulations when disposing of the door system and the batteries/rechargeable
batteries.

3 Installation
Before the work described below is done, the moving leaves must be adjusted properly.
3.1 Installing hook bolt lock Lock M in the main closing edge
3.1.1 Installing hook bolt lock Lock M in the main closing edge, without pushing rosette










* Blind rivet nut M5 at head, caulk steel.
XHeed the installation and care instructions from the respective manufacturer of the lock cylinder used.
XThe lock cylinder must be provided on site.

3.1.2 Installing hook bolt lock Lock M in the main closing edge, with pushing rosette

Installation
3.2 Installing the strike plate in the main closing edge or post prole
XScrew the M5 screw (2) into the strike plate (1). 

XThread the strike plate (1) with M5 screw into
the main closing edge of the moving leaf (2-
leaf) or post prole (1-leaf).

XScrew in two screws with countersunk head (3)
and tighten.
XUndo the screw (2) again. 





3.3 Post installation, 1-leaf
3.3.1 1-leaf system at a wall corner with or without side part
1-leaf, right-closing
The illustrations below show the version 1-leaf right-closing. Implementation of the 1-leaf left-closing version is
reversed accordingly.





XAdjust the position of the door leaf (1).
Heed safe distances to the light barrier prole/side part and oor.
XUse 2 screws (3) to x the square post (2) provisionally at the top and bottom.

XUse 4 screws (5) to screw the side screen prole (4) provisionally to the square post.
XAdjust the position of the side screen prole (4) and square post (2) in relation to the door leaf, underlay to-
wards the wall if necessary.
The xing and underlay material must be provided on site.
XUnscrew the side screen prole (4).
XMount the square post (2) with screws (3) on the wall.
XMount the side screen prole (4) with screws (5) on the square post (2).
XAdjust the vertical position in relation to the door leaf.



XAdjust the position of the L-angle (6) as cover blind and mark drill holes.
XDrill the holes with a Ø 2.75 mm drill.
XScrew to the side screen prole (4) using screws (7).

Adjusting the height in relation to the door leaf
XAdjust the position of the lower edge of the side screen prole post to 4 mm below the side screen prole leaf

3.3.2 1-leaf system in front of a continuous wall, right- or left-closing


XAdjust the position of the door leaf (1).
Heed safe distances to the light barrier prole/side part and oor.
XAdjust the position of the side screen prole (2) and wall rail (3) in relation to the door leaf (1) and mark on the
wall.

XMount the wall prole (3) with screws (4) on the wall, underlay if necessary.




XScrew the side screen prole (2) with screws (5) through the wall prole (3) on the wall.

Service and maintenance
Adjusting the height in relation to the door leaf
XAdjust the position of the lower edge of the side screen prole post (2) to 4 mm below the side screen prole
leaf (6)





4 Service and maintenance
The following mandatory maintenance work must be carried out at least once a year by properly trained
personnel.
If there is a display programme switch, the service display lights up or ashes in the display.
XService and maintenance should then be carried out promptly.
