WARNING: Important! Read and understand these instructions before using the Manual
Resuscitator. Do not use this product unless you have been instructed in its
use by a qualied healthcare professional. If the Manual Resuscitator is not
properly assembled, personal injury and/or damage to the Manual Resuscita-
tor could result.
WARNING: Test the product functions before using this product on a patient.
WARNING: Important: This resuscitator is intended for use on an adult with a minimum
body weight of 66 lb. (30 kg).
WARNING: This resuscitator is intended for single patient use.
WARNING: Do not use this product in a toxic atmosphere, or in the presence of sparks,
ame, or smoking materials. Do not allow smoking. Fire and/or personal in-
jury could result.
WARNING: If components are damaged or missing, contact your dealer immediately. DO
NOT use substitute parts.
WARNING: GF Health Products, Inc. assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury
caused by improper installation or use of this product.

manufacture.

WARNING: Do not remove the pop-off valve.
1. Use your hands to pull the resuscita-
tor out from both sides.
2. Assemble the patient valve, reservoir
bag and resuscitator. Ensure that all
connections are secure.
3. Connect the mask to the patient
valve.
4. Optional: Connect the oxygen tube to
a regulated oxygen source.
5. Adjust the oxygen ow so that the res-
ervoir bag expands completely during
inspiration, and nearly collapses as
the squeeze bulb rells during exhalation.
6. Before connecting the manual resuscitator to a patient, check the function of both resuscitator
and mask; ensure that all connections are secure and that the intake valve, reservoir bag and
patient valve allow all phases of the ventilation without any leakage.

1. Install the mask carefully onto the patient’s face so that it covers the nose and jaw.
2. Hold the mask with thumb and forenger; use other hand to ensure that the mask is properly
attached to the patient’s face.
3. Compress the squeeze bulb to deliver a breath; before continuing, ensure that the patient’s
chest rises to conrm inspiration.
4. Release pressure on the squeeze bulb to allow exhalation; before continuing, ensure that the
patient's chest falls to conrm exhalation.

Remove the Manual Resuscitator from the patient and clear the valve as follows:
1. Disassemble the contaminated components.
2. Compress the squeeze bulb rapidly to deliver several sharp breaths; this should expel the con-
taminant.
3. Rinse the patient valve in water and then compress the squeeze bulb rapidly to deliver several
breaths to expel the contaminant.
4. If the contaminant still does not clear, discard the resuscitator.
