Thank you for choosing the Cucina by Giani Digital Air Fryer. All products
brought to you by Giani are manufactured to the highest standards of
performance and safety.
Before use, please read this manual carefully. It gives important instructions
about safety, use and maintenance of your appliance.
Remove all packaging material. You may wish to keep the packaging for future
use or storage of your appliance. Alternatively, dispose of accordingly.

Important Safety Information
Please read ALL instructions before using this appliance and
keep safe for future reference.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. This appliance is for domestic use only. It should not be
used for commercial purposes.
2. Only use this appliance for its intended domestic use.
Giani Ltd will not accept any liability if the appliance is
subject to improper use, or failure to comply with these
instructions.
3. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
4. Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
5. Do not immerse the main body in water. Avoid any
liquids entering the appliance as this will cause an
electric shock or will short circuit the appliance.
6. Keep all ingredients within the cooking basket to prevent
any contact with internal heating elements. The
appliance will malfunction if this occurs.
7. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved.
8. Children should not play with the appliance.
9. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
10. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
less than 8 years.
11. This product is not a toy.
12. Do not use the appliance if any parts appear to be
faulty, missing or damaged.

13. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or
damaged in any way.
14. Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected
to the mains supply.
15. Always unplug from the mains supply before carrying
out any cleaning or performing user maintenance. The
appliance needs a minimum of 30 minutes to cool down
after use.
16. Check to ensure that your electricity supply matches that
shown on the rating plate.
17. Only use the attachments/accessories supplied with the
product or recommended by Giani.
18. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
qualied service agent in order to avoid a hazard.
19. The pan and basket are not suitable for cleaning in a
dishwasher.
20. Keep the appliance and its power supply cord away from
heat or sharp edges that could cause damage.
21. Keep the power supply cord away from any parts of the
appliance that may become hot during use.
22. Always use the appliance on a stable, heat resistant
surface.
23. Do not place the appliance against a wall or directly next
to another appliance. Leave at least 20cm of free space
around the appliance when in use.
24. Do not cover the air inlet or the air outlet whilst the
appliance is operating.
25. During use, hot steam is released through the air outlet
openings. Keep your hands and face at a safe distance
from the steam outlet openings.
26. Take extra care when removing the pan after cooking is
complete. Hot air and steam will be released. Keep your
face and hands at a safe distance.

27. The surface of the appliance may get hot during operation.
28. Do not move the appliance when it is in use.
29. Do not touch any parts of the appliance that may become
hot as this could cause injury.
30. Do not cover the appliance.
31. Do not disconnect the appliance from the mains power
supply by pulling the cord, switch it off and remove the
plug by hand.
32. Do not store in direct sunlight or high humidity conditions.
33. Always unplug the appliance after use and before any
cleaning or user maintenance.
34. Always ensure the appliance has cooled fully after use
before performing any cleaning or user maintenance or
storing away.
35. Use of an extension cord with the appliance is not
recommended.
36. This appliance should not be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote control system.
37. Keep the appliance away from ammable materials.
38. Never turn on the appliance if the frying pan is not properly
inserted
39. Child Lock function, when the fryer is cooking to avoid
adult or child interference please press the Child Lock icon
for 3 seconds and the fryer will beep twice indicating that
the interface is now locked
40. If the product starts smoking, unplug the device from the
mains power supply and place it in a safe space until after
it has stopped smoking

Before First Use
1. Remove all packaging materials, stickers and labels.
2. Clean the basket and pan with warm soapy water and a soft
cloth or non-abrasive sponge, then rinse. Do not use any
abrasive cleaning materials as this will damage the appliance.
3. Wipe the appliance inside and out with a soft damp cloth and
dry thoroughly.
NOTE: You do not need to ll the pan with oil as this
appliance works with hot air.
Preparing For First Use
1. Place the air fryer on a stable horizontal surface. Ensure the power
cord has enough length to the power socket and there is enough
good air circulation around the product.
2. Place the mesh basket into the pan, when you hear a ‘Click’ the
basket is properly tted. Then insert the pan into the Air Fryer.
3. Preheat the appliance for 3 minutes before placing the ingredients in
the basket.
Using The Timer/Auto-Shutoff Function
This fryer is equipped with a timer function. Set the desired cooking
time and temperature then press the Start/Stop button. This will start the
countdown. When the set cooking time is reached the fryer will ring and
shut off automatically.
To stop the fryer manually press the Cancel button or the Start/Stop
button.
Warning
Never Pour oil or any other liquid into the fryer.
Never cover the air inlet opening on the product as this will prevent
the air ow inside the product thus reducing the efciency of the
fryer

How To Use Your Air Fryer
1. Insert the plug into the grounded socket.
2. Pull out the frying-pan carefully from the air fryer.
3. Put the ingredients into the frying basket.
Note: Please do not pover ll ingredients in the fryer as this may affect
the frying time
4. Slip the frying-pan back to the Air fryer. (Notice: Do not use the
fryer before putting in the frying basket. Do not touch the fryer after
operation to avoid scalding. Only move the fryer by holding the
handle.)
5. Adjust to the right temperature by pressing the Temperature Control
button. (Please refer to the “Setting” part of this chapter.) There are
two temperature control buttons on the control panel, up and down,
pressing the temperature button will increase or decrease by 5ºC.
When holding down the temperature control button, the temperature
will rapidly increase or decrease by 5ºC. To determine the time for
cooking the ingredients (please refer to the “Setting” part of this
chapter) there are two Time Control buttons on the fryer, up and
down, pressing these will increase or decrease the timer by 1 minute.
When holding down one of the time control buttons, the time will
rapidly increase or decrease by 1 minute.
6. To turn on the fryer, press the Start/Stop button. (If the fryer is cold,
the cooking time should be extended by 3 minutes.)
Note: If required, you can preheat the fryer without the ingredients. Press
the Preheat button and after 3 minutes, the product will ring to alert you
that the preheat has nished. At this point you can add your ingredients
to the fryer and adjust the temperature & cooking time.
• When setting the timer it will begin to countdown to the set time.
Once nished it will ring and the motor will stop running after 10
seconds.
• Any excess oil from the frying process will collect at the bottom of the
frying-pan.

7. There are 4 Shortcut Menu buttons on the control panel (Meat,
Chips, Chicken & Pastry). Based on what you are cooking, select
the desired Shortcut setting and place the ingredients into the fryer.
Pressing the shortcut menu again will begin cooking.
Note 1: If you have selected the wrong setting, you can press the Cancel
button and re-select the setting you require.
Note 2: When the product is cooking and you need to adjust the
temperature or time, press the Start/Stop button, then press the
Temperature Control or the Time Control button to adjust followed by the
Start/Stop button again to begin cooking.
8. The Child Lock function is designed to prevent children from
handling the fryer when in use. By pressing the Child Lock button
for 3 seconds the fryer will beep twice and the Child Lock indicator
light will appear on the screen. To unlock press the Child Lock button
again for 3 seconds, and the buzzer will beep twice and the Child
Lock button indicator will turn off.
9. Some ingredients require shaking during cooking. To shake the
ingredients, hold the handle and pull the frying-pan out from the fryer,
and then shake the pan. After that, slide the frying-pan back into
the fryer. (Note: DO NOT open the demounting button cover on the
frying basket during the process of shaking.)
Note: To reduce the shaking weight, you can take the frying basket
out from the frying-pan, allowing you to shake the frying basket
alone. To remove the frying basket, please pull the frying-pan out
from the product, place it on heat resistant surface, then open
the demounting button on the frying basket cover and press the
demounting button. If you have set the timer to half of the cooking
time, then the fryer will beep. This means that you have set the
time (again with the remaining cooking time).
10. When the fryer rings, this means that the cooking has nished.
Remove the frying-pan from the fryer, and place it on heat-resistant
surface. (Note: You can stop the product manually when it’s cooking.
To do this, please press the Cancel or the Pause button.)

11. Check to see if the ingredients are cooked through. If the ingredients
need further cooking, then place the frying-pan back into the fryer,
and set the timer for a couple more minutes.
12. To pour out the ingredients (e.g. chips), open the demounting button
on the frying basket cover and press the demounting button and
remove the frying basket from the frying-pan. Do not shake the frying
basket before demounting the frying-pan, this will cause the excess
oil collected to go onto the ingredients. After cooking the frying-pan
and the ingredients will still be very hot. There may also be steam
coming out from the fryer vents.
Note: To remove big or fragile ingredients, you can use the tongs to get
them out from the frying basket.
13. After completing cooking the Air Fryer can begin to cook another
batch of ingredients at any time.
Tips
Because the rapid air technology reheats the air inside the appliance
instantly, pulling out the pan briey during cooking will barely disturb the
cooking process.
• Shaking ingredients halfway through cooking optimizes the end
result and can help prevent unevenly cooked ingredients.
• Add some oil to fresh potatoes for a crispy result. Fry your potatoes
in the Air Fryer within a few minutes after adding the oil.
• Do not prepare extremely greasy foods such as sausages in the Air
Fryer.
• The optimal amount for prepared crispy fries is 500 grams.
• Use pre-made dough to prepare lled snacks quickly and easily.
Pre-made dough also requires a shorter preparation time than
homemade dough.
• Place a baking tin or oven proof dish in the Air Fryer basket if you
want to bake a cake or quiche or if you want to fry fragile ingredients
or lled ingredients.
• You can also use the Air Fryer to reheat ingredients. To reheat
ingredients, set the temperature to 150 C for up to 10 minutes.

Note: These settings are indications only, as time adjustments will be
required depending on the size and quantity of the foods you are cooking.

Making Home Made Chips
To get the best effect when cooking we advise you use the home made
chips setting. Please follow the steps below.
1. Cut the potatoes and slice them into small chips.
2. Soak the chips in a bowl for at least 20 minutes, drain them on
paper
3. Pour 1 tea spoon of olive oil on the chips and mix them round,
until all the chips are oiled evenly.
4. Then pour the chips into the frying basket.
5. Fry the chips following the instructions in this chapter.
Note: Do not pour all of the chips into the frying basket at once in
order to prevent too much oil being collected at the bottom of the
frying-pan at the end of cooking.
Cleaning
1. Turn the appliance off.
2. Remove from plug from the mains power supply and allow the
fryer to cool for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Tip: Remove the pan to let the Air Fryer cool down more quickly.
3. Wipe the outside of the fryer with a damp cloth. Do not use
any abrasive materials or solutions as this will damage the
appliance.
4. Clean the pan and basket with hot soapy water and a non-
abrasive sponge.
Tip: If there is stubborn food residues stuck to the basket or in the bottom
of the pan, ll the pan with hot soapy water, place the basket in the pan
and allow to soak for 10 minutes. Soaking time will vary depending on
foods cooked and the amount of stubborn residue.

5. Wipe the inside of the appliance with a damp cloth or sponge. Do
not use abrasive materials or solutions as this will damage the
appliance.
6. Wipe the heating element with a soft cleaning brush to remove
food residue. Do not use abrasive materials or solutions as this will
damage the appliance. ONLY DO THIS WHEN THE FRYER HAS
COOLED DOWN.
7. Allow the fryer to dry out thoroughly before storage.
Storage
1. Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
2. Make sure all parts are clean and dry.
3. Push the cord into the cord storage compartment. Fix the cord
by inserting it into the cord xing slot.
