Using your Pie Maker
Before using your pie maker, clean it with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
It is recommended that the non-stick plates be conditioned to protect the non-stick
surface.
Plug the power supply plug into the mains socket, your pie maker will switch on.
Allow it to heat up for approximately 5 minutes. Apply a thin coating of cooking oil to
the cooking plates and carefully rub it in with a paper towel. You only need to condi-
tion the cooking plates when using your pie maker for the first time.
WARNING: The cooking plates will get very hot.
NOTE: On first use there may be a small amount of haze and an odour emitted
from the appliance, this is perfectly normal and will soon subside.
Plug your pie maker into the mains power supply and switch on.
Roll out your pastry, then with the large side of the pastry cutter, cut out the base of
your pie. Use the small side of the pastry cutter to cut out the lid of your pie.
Place the pastry base into the pie maker and press it in well with the pastry mould
provided.
For best results blind bake your pie base before adding your filling. Please see blind
baking section. (Page 6).
Spoon your pie filling into the base, taking care not to overfill it. Then carefully place
the pastry lid onto the top of your filled pie base.
Close the lid of your pie maker to begin cooking your pie.
Cook the pie for approximately 15-20 minutes.
After use switch off the pie maker and disconnect from the mains power supply.
Use a plastic or wooden spatula to remove your pie from the cooking plates, so as
not to damage the non-stick surface of your pie maker.
NOTE: Your pie filling should be cooked in advance, particularly if using fresh
meat or vegetable ingredients.
WARNING: Do not use the pie cutter or pastry mould in the product when it is
switched on. This may damage the accessories.

touch the hot cooking surface.
Fill the pastry base with the pre-cooked pie filling.
