Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Cucina by Giani 8 in 1 Multi Cooker. Before use, please
read this manual. It gives important instructions about safety, use and maintenance
of your appliance. Please keep for future reference.

Safety Instructions
Please read ALL instructions before use.
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter or allow it to touch any
hot surfaces.
3. Place the appliance securely in the centre of your work space.
4. Use the handles to maneuver the appliance to avoid touching any surfaces that may
become hot during use.
5. Do not allow children to use this appliance.
6. Close adult supervision must be provided when this appliance is used near children.
7. The use of accessory attachments that are NOT recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
8. Do not operate on a non-heat resistant glass, wood cooking surface, or a table cloth.
It is recommended that a heat resistant cooking surface with heat finish be placed
beneath this appliance during use.
9. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the unlikely case this
appliance malfunctions or becomes damaged.
10. Unplug this appliance from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning and
ensure it has been allowed to cool first.
11. Always switch off the appliance before removing the heating pan.
12. Use extreme caution when moving the 8 in 1 Multi Cooker pot containing hot oil or
other hot liquids.
13. Do not use outdoors.
14. Do not place near hot gas or an electric burner or a heated oven.
15. Do not clean the appliance with a metal scrubbing pad. Pieces can break off the pad
creating a big risk of an electrical shock and will also damage the appliance.
16. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the plug, cord or Multi Cooker
pot base in to water or any other liquid.
17. ATTENTION! To protect against electric shock, cook only with the included non-stick
heating pan.
18. The Multi Cooking pot is for indoor household use only.
19. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.
20. Save these Instructions for future reference.
21. Always turn your Multi Cooker to ‘OFF’ and unplug when no longer in use.
22. Always allow the Mulit Cooker to cool before cleaning.
23. Never pour cold water in to the non-stick heating pan when it is hot.
24 Never add water to hot oil.

If the power cord is damaged, don’t replace it by yourself. You must use a
dedicated power cord or from the manufacturer or the maintenance department to
purchase a special component to replace it.
This appliance must be used by a responsible adult.
This appliance is for household use only.
DO NOT immerse the 8 in 1 Multi Cooker power base in water or place in a dishwasherr.
Handle carefully when cleaning.
Warning: To reduce risk of electrical shock or fire, DO NOT attempt to disassemble
the appliance. No user serviceable parts are inside. Repair should be done only
by a qualified Electrician.
Before use
Remove the appliance from the packaging and unpack all of the accessories.
Take out the documents and the protective film.
Take out the power base.
Check that there is nothing (packing, paper etc) stuck between the non-stick heating
pan and the power base of the appliance.
Clean the inside of the non-stick heating pan with a damp sponge and warm soapy
water.
Attach the non-stick heating pan to the power base: Place the non-stick heating pan
into the four holes in the metal plate at the base of the unit.

Control Settings
The control dial cycles through adjustable
temperatures/functions such as OFF, Warm,
Boil, Steam/Slow cook, Saute/Grill, Roast,
Deep fry. The temperature can be set
anywhere between the lowest Settings at 80 C
and the highest setting for Deep Fry at 190 C
During cooking, the indicator light goes on and off. It only stays lit when the appli-
ance is heating to reach or maintain the correct temperature.
Always remember to turn off the appliance when finished.
Warm
Place the desired liquid or food directly into the non-stick heating pan and close the lid.
Turn the control dial to the Warm setting. The indicator light will go on.
Boil
Place the desired liquid of food directly into the non-stick heating pan and close the lid.
Turn the dial to the Boil setting. The indicator light will come on.
To retain heat and moisture during cooking, it is best not to lift the lid. Always make sure
there is sufficiant liquid to cover the food.
Always turn your Multi Cooker to ‘OFF’ and unplug when no longer in use.
Slow Cook/Steam
Use the steam rack for steaming.
Place the steam rack on the non-stick heating pan.
Add 200ml of water (keep the water level below the rack) and close the lid.
Turn the dial to Slow Cook/Steam setting. The indicator light will come on.
To retain heat and moisture during cooking, it is best not to lift the lid.
When steaming is complete, carefully remove the hot steam rack.
Always turn your Multi Cooker to ‘OFF’ and unplug when no longer in use.
Saute/Grill
Turn the dial to the Saute/Grill setting. The indicator light will come on.
Add a small amount of cooking oil, butter or margarine to the non-stick heating pan.
When Sauteing or Grilling is complete, remove the food.
Always turn your Multi Cooker unit to ‘OFF’ and unplug when no longer in use.

Roast
Place the desired food into the non-stick heating pan.
Turn the dial to the Roast setting. The indicator light will come on.
When finished roasting, check the food to ensure it is cooked.
Always turn your Multi Cooker to ‘OFF’ and unplug when no longer in use.
Deep Fry
Pour oil into the non-stick heating pan up to the fill-line. Never fill over this line.
Turn the dial to the Deep Fry setting. The indicator light will come on.
Place the food in the fry basket and lower into the oil.
Once food is thoroughly cooked, place on a dry paper towel to soak up any unwanted
oil before serving.
Always turn your Multi Cooker to ‘OFF’ and unplug when no longer in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Never submerge the power base in water or other liquid, or place in a dishwasher.
The lid and non-stick heating pan are dishwasher safe.
Always allow your Multi Cooker appliance to cool before cleaning.
Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
To Clean
Disconnect the power supply.
Lift lid and remove all cooking accessories. Wash the accessories with soapy water.
Always remove hot oil from the non-stick heating pan before washing.
Remove the non-stick heating pan, empty remaining food and liquid, and allow to cool.
Fill the non-stick heating pan with warm soapy water. Use non-abrasive materials to
clean.
The outer unit can be cleaned with a damp sponge/cloth. Never use abrasive or
scouing pads.
Maintenance
Please make sure that the non-stick heating pan is thoroughly dry before using it.
Never pour cold water into a warm non-stick heating pan. it must be cold before you
start cooking.
Do not use abrasive or steel wool, this may damage the non-stick surface.
Only use wooden or hard proof plastic utensils to prevent damage to the non-stick
heating pan’s surface.
Never immerse the outer unit in water or liquid. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Never add water to hot oil.
