Computermotherboards and expansion cards contain very delicateIntegrated Circuit(IC) chips. To
protectthemagainstdamagefromstaticelectricity,youshouldfollowsomeprecautionswheneveryou
workonyourcomputer.
1. Unplugyourcomputerwhenworkingontheinside.

Step1 PlacetheHeat Sink on theCPU.Before putting the heatsinkon the CPU, pleasewell
remember toapplythethermalconductivitycompound ontheCPU.

1. TheDIMM slothasanotch, so theDIMMmemorymodule can only fitinone direction.
2. Insertthe DIMMmemory module vertically intothe DIMM slot. Thenpush it down.
3. Closethe plastic clip at both edges of theDIMM slots to lock the DIMM module.
4. DIMM must be populated in order starting at the farthest slot from the MCH chipset.
Each logical DIMM must be made of two identical DIMMs having the same device size on
each and the same DIMM size.
5.Reversetheinstallation steps when you wishtoremovethe DIMM module.
