Important safety instructions
•This appliance is not intended for use
by any person (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lacking
experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the
appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
•Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
•Overlling the container may
cause danger from boiling water
being forced out. Also beware of
the danger of scalding from hot
steam being emitted. Therefore, do
not touch any parts of the appliance
except the handle during use.
•Always remove the plug from the
wall socket:
- in case of any malfunction
- after use
- during cleaning of the appliance.
•No responsibility is accepted if
damage results from improper
use, or if these instructions are not
complied with.
Thermal safety cut-out
The preset thermal safety cut-out
protects the heating element from
overheating in case the appliance
be erroneously switched on without
any water, or if the heating element
is calcied. Once the safety cut-out
has switched off the kettle, it must be
allowed to cool down sufciently, or
must be descaled before it is switched
on again.

Before using for the rst time
•For reasons of hygiene, discard
the rst three times lling of water
with boiling.
Boiling water
•Never remove the water container
from the base (or replace it) while
the appliance is switched on.
- Release and open the lid, and ll
the container with water to the
desired level, observing the Min.
and Max. markings.
- Before closing the lid and
placing the container back on its
base, ensure that the appliance
has not yet been switched on.
- Insert the plug into a suitable
wall socket and press the On/
Off switch.
- The boiling process begins.
After reaching the boiling point,
the appliance is automatically
switched off by the integral
steam cut-off device.
- To pour hot water, remove the
container from its base.
- To prevent hot steam from being
emitted, ensure that the lid
remains closed while pouring
out the water.
Descaling
Depending on the water quality
in your area, lime deposits may
build up on the heating element. It
is advisable to remove any such
deposits at regular intervals. A
mixture of 0.5 liters of water with
two tablespoons of vinegar essence
is suitable.
- Pour the descaler in.
- Switch the appliance on and let
the solution reach boiling point.
- Leave it to take effect for a
short period.
- To clean the container after
descaling, rinse thoroughly with
clean water.
•Do not pour descalers down
enamel-coated sinks.
General cleaning and care
•Before cleaning the appliance,
ensure it is disconnected from
the power supply and has cooled
down completely.
•To avoid the risk of electric shock,
do not clean the kettle and the base
with water and do not immerse
them in water. Do not clean under
running water.
•For cleaning, a slightly damp,
lint-free cloth may be used.
•Do not use abrasives or harsh
cleaning solutions, and do not use
hard brushes for cleaning.
Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective
appliances in domestic garbage; this
should only be done through public
collection points.
Remarks
1. The instructions for cordless kettles
shall state that the kettle is only to
be used with the stand provided.
2. This appliance is intended to be
used in household and similar
applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops,
ofces and other working
environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels
and other residential type
environments.

WARRANTY
This GLEN Kettle is fully warranted against any defect arising out of defective
materials or faulty workmanship for a period of two year from the date of
purchase. Should any defect develop in this product, the customer should
bring the product to the nearest authorised service centre, where the company
undertakes to get the product repaired free of charge.
This warranty is not valid if :
The use and care instructions have not been followed.
Defects are caused by accident, misuse, abuse or commercial use.
The repair work is carried out by persons not authorised by the company.
Any modication or alteration of any nature is made in the product.
Normal wear & tear of the product is not covered under warranty
The Bill/Cash memo and copy of warranty card is not presented.
Under no circumstances, whether based on limited warranty or otherwise shall
the company be liable for incidental, special or consequential damages. Use
of product indicates acceptance by you of the aforesaid terms and conditions.
