SCREEN BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF TEMPLATE
QUICK TEST SETTINGS
Quick Tests are the easiest test to set up on the Analyzer.
Data is not stored, however, you can set up testing without all
of the detailed require for full string-level testing.
There are three Quick Test Templates that are permanently
stored in the Analyzer. These are 1) Voltage Meter 2)
Impedance Meter and 3) Voltage & Impedance Meter. You
are able to view the test setup for each template by pressing
the ENTER button after the one you want is highlighted.
The <NEW> selection allows you to configure a custom
Quick Test for any battery type you require.
STRING
CONFIGURATIONS
String Configuration Templates are used for setting up a
full string for testing on the Analyzer. It is recommended that
you first set up your Battery Types, Alarm Settings and
Test Settings before configuring a string template.
You can also go directly into setting up a String
Configuration Template and access the other required
templates while setting up your template.

TESTING
Quick Tests
After you have set up a Quick Test Template as described in the previous section, you can test batteries or cells using this Quick Test Template. You can
always use the default templates (Voltage Meter, Impedance Meter or Voltage & Impedance Meter. To run a Quick Test, follow the simple steps below.
1. From the MAIN MENU select QUICK TEST.
2. Select the Quick Test Template that you want to use for testing and press ENTER.
3. Prior to testing you can set the Temperature of the Battery or Shunt you are testing by pressing F4.
4. At any point during testing you can delete a test by pressing F3.
Note: Once you exit Quick Test, all test results will be lost. Quick Testing does NOT save data.
Test String
After you have set up an appropriate Test Configuration either on the Analyzer or transferred one over from IBMS™, TEST STRING will become active and
may be selected. Once selected, follow the steps below to test the string. The screen shots below show the screens (1-6) you will encounter leading up to

3. Next, navigate to the TOOLS screen. Repeatability Testing and Master Reset are described below in detail and may be used during testing. These are
presented here for completeness, however, they are not part of the setup of the Analyzer. You do not need to run the testing described below unless
required.
Repeatability Testing – This function is used for testing the Noise Level on the battery string that you are testing. Press the Start button (F2) to
start testing. The Analyzer will run five consecutive tests and present Repeatability Statistics (The Coefficient of Variance – COV) for Impedance,
Voltage and the Chemical Properties (Sulfation and Dryout) of the battery. When values become larger than 5%, the system is a gross noise
emitter and test results will vary (not be repeatable) during normal testing for this property. Often one of the three properties will be a problem
while the others give good values for COV.
Master Reset – Use this function to erase all data from the Mini-SD Card. If there a data corruption or a crash on the Analyzer, use this function
to clean the Mini-SD Card.
