Thank you for choosing this GOLDAIR Vacuum Cleaner. This
GOLDAIR appliance has been designed and manufactured to high
standards of engineering and with proper use and care, as described
in this leaflet, will give you years of useful service. Please read these
instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
General care and safety guide

✔Always ensure hands are dry before
handling the plug or the Vacuum Cleaner.
✔Use only as described in this manual.
✔Always be sure to unplug from the socket
when not in use and before cleaning or
changing filters.
✔Use only manufacturer’s recommended
attachments.
✔Carry out regular checks of the supply
cord to ensure no damage is evident.
✔Hold plug when rewinding the cord. Don’t
allow plug to whip when rewinding.
✔Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
✔If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
✔Indoor use only.
✔Take extra care when vacuuming stairs.
✔Keep all openings free of hair, lint, dust
and anything that may reduce airflow.
✔Store your Vacuum Cleaner in a cool, dry
area.
✔Return the Vacuum Cleaner after a
malfunction, or if it has been damaged in
any manner, to an authorised electrical
service technician for examination, repair or
adjustment as special purpose tools are
required.

✘Use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
✘Never use this appliance for any purpose
other than its intended use. This appliance is
for household use only or in similar
applications such as:
•Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and
other working environments;
•Farm houses
•By clients in hotels, motels and other
residential type environments;
•Bed and breakfast type environments.
✘This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they are supervised or have been given
instruction concerning the use of the vacuum
cleaner by a person responsible for their
safety.
✘Pick up anything that is burning or
smoking, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot
ashes nor anything that is combustible or
toxic.
✘Pull or carry by cord, use cord as a
handle, close door on cord, or pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run
vacuum cleaner over cord. Keep cord away
from heated surfaces.
✘Unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug,
grasp the plug, not the cord.
✘Never use harsh, abrasive or caustic
cleaners to clean this appliance.
✘Never operate the appliance with a
damaged cord or plug, after it malfunctions,
or if it has been damaged in any manner.
✘Use without dust bag and filter in place.
✘Insert objects or fingers into openings nor
use Vacuum Cleaner with blocked openings.
✘The Vacuum Cleaner is not intended to
be operated by means of an external timer
or separate remote-control system.

Operating your Vacuum Cleaner
ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the Flexible Hose into the vacuum’s
air intake duct and push in until you hear a
“click”, indicating it is in its locked position.
2. Push the tube into the curved wand/hose
extension.
3. Push the tube into the floor brush. Adjust
the tube to the desired length.
ON/OFF
Once all attachments are in place, unwind the
cord. A yellow mark on the power cord shows
the ideal cable length. Do not pull the power
cord beyond the red mark.
Insert the power plug into the wall outlet and
turn on at the wall.
Press the power on/off button on the Vacuum
Cleaner to turn the vacuum cleaner on.
REWINDING THE POWER CORD
To rewind the power cord, press the cord
rewind button with one hand and guide the
power cord with the other hand to ensure that it
does not whip causing damage or injury.
VARIABLE SUCTION CONTROL
To adjust the suction, turn the speed control
button on the Vacuum Cleaner.

1. Open the front cover.
2. Clean or change air outlet filter.
PLEASE NOTE:
The sponge filter material will became dusty
over time. This is normal and will not affect the
performance of the filter.
If the sponge filter becomes so dusty that
suction does not return to 100%, we
recommend that the filter be removed and
rinsed under a tap and allowed to dry for 24
hours by airing. DO NOT AIR NEAR A FIRE
OR HEATER. This should be done every six
months or when suction appears to be
reduced.
Important:
All filters should be checked regularly for signs
of damage, preferably after each cleaning task.
The filters must be replaced immediately if they
become damaged.

Your Goldair product has been inspected and
tested and is guaranteed subject to the
following for a period to two years from the
date of purchase against defects in
workmanship and materials. During this
period, such defects will be rectified by repair
or replacement of the product purchased.
Your product contains no user serviceable
components and this warranty becomes
invalid if in our opinion the product has been
misused, abused, incorrectly installed,
tampered with, connected to an electrical
supply not corresponding with the name plate
specification, or subjected to power surges.
The warranty does not include any labour or
other associated expense that may be
involved in removal or installation of the
product. Normal wear and tear is expressly
excluded.
If your Goldair product fails to operate
satisfactorily, please return it to the retailer
from whom it was purchased. To obtain a
repair or replacement product under this
warranty, you will need to produce satisfactory
evidence of date of purchase. The completed
warranty and purchase receipt must be
presented with the product. The warranty
should be filled out at the time of purchase. It
is in your interest to make sure this is done.
If the product is to be replaced (cannot be
repaired) then that replacement will be of the
same or similar product or accessory
excluding packaging, instruction card etc.
Where a replacement product is supplied, this
shall be guaranteed for the balance of the
original warranty period.
Any model that is no longer available will be
replaced by a model of a value and with such
features as we consider appropriate in the
circumstances. Goldair Ltd is not responsible
for freight forwarding charges, losses or
damage in transit.
If service is required after the warranty period
has expired, the product should be returned to
a qualified electrical technician. Service
outside of the warranty period will be at your
cost.
Consumers Guarantee Act (1993).
In accordance with the above act consumers
are advised that: The manufacturer does not
undertake that repair facilities and parts are
necessarily available for this product.
If any of the provisions of the foregoing are
contrary to any relevant legislation, then that
provision shall be deemed to be excluded from
the warranty and the rest of the provisions will
continue to apply.
