BE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
Do not disposebatteries as normalrubbish. Be environmentallyfriendly,
dispose batteries followingthe Government's regulation.
INTRODUCTION
Remove the batterycompartment cover.
Load two AAA(UM-4 or R03) batteries into the
battery compartment.
Make sure thatthe batteries have been inserted
in the correctpolarities matching to the symbols
+, - markedin the battery compartment. Close
the battery compartmentcover.
When replacing batteries,replace both batteries.
Do not mixnew and used batteries operating
together, otherwise, theoperation lifetime will
be much shorterthan normal.
Remove the batteriesif the unit will not beused
for a prolongedperiod of time.
The remote controltransmits a directional
infrared beam. Besure to aim the remote
control directly atthe infrared sensor of the
unit during operation.
If the sensorhas been covered or there isa
large object betweenthe remote control and
the sensor, thesensor will not respond.
The sensor maynot able to receive the
remote signal whenit is exposed to direct
sunlight or astrong artificial light (fluorescent
or strobe light).In this case, change the
direction of thelight or reposition the unit to
avoid direct lighting.

Turn on yourTV set and select the corresponding AV input (withthe AV key, or simular, onthe
television remote control).
Turn on themain power supplyto the STB, the indicator onthe front of the unit willturn red and then
amber. In standbymode, the indicator light will bered. In working mode, the indicator light will be
amber.
Switching on for the first time
GETTING STARTED
If you usethe STB forthe first time or have deletedall channels in the STB,
a "TV Setting"menu displays.
Press "LEFT" or"RIGHT" cursor buttonto choose either "16:9" or "4:3"
according to theTV shape youhave..
Make sure thatthe TV aerialis connected to the unit then,press "OK"
button to continueinstallation.
Press "LEFT" or"RIGHT" cursor buttonto highlight "confirm".
Press "OK" buttonto continue. "Scan Progress" menu will appear and
list the channels as they arefound. A bar appears below thelisting panel
that indicates theprogress of thechannel search.
When all channels have been found,the channel atthe top of the list
will show onthe TV.

Press "DOWN" cursorbutton to select "Channel No" section, and enter
desired Channel Numberusing numeric button.
Press the "OK"button to startsearching.

appear from timeto time.
If you knowthat a newchannel is being broadcast and wantto this channeland know what frequency
it is beingtransmitted on thenuse this quick method of addinga new channel.Otherwise use the
Automatic method shownabove.

Changing Channels
There are fourways of channelselection - steppingthrough the channel list, selection bynumber,
from the on-screenchannel list, and using the EPG
Press the "UP"or "DOWN" cursor button to browseup and browse down the availablechannels.
Selection by number:
Enter the completechannel number directly by remote controlto select desired channel.
Selection by on-screenchannels list:
You can alsoselect the desired channel directly fromon-screen channel
list. This isdisplayed using the STB's main menu.Please See "CHANNEL LIST" in thismanual for
the operation detail.

4Selection by settinga Reminder in the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide):
You can alsoselect the desired channel directly fromEPG. This is displayed by pressing
the "EPG" buttonon the remote control. The EPGprovides a briefdescription of theprogramme
on the currentlyselected channel and lists the current
channels.
Press the "EPG"button to enter the Channel Schedule.
Press the "CH+"or "CH- " cursor button toselect
the desired channel,the screen switches to the programmeon
the currently selectedchannel.
Press "EXIT "button to quitthe EPG and view the
channel on fullscreen.

SETTING A REMINDER
From the EPG, you canchange channels ,check programme information ,accessone-week
programme schedule whichdetails the times and programmes for the next sevendays and set a
reminder for 8programmes to automatically view at the preset time. .

Press "UP "or "DOWN"cursor button to preview the currentprogramme
on the selectedchannel, and check the current programme information.
Press "LEFT"or "RIGHT"cursor button tonavigate the program lists in next
seven days.
Press "UP "or"DOWN" cursor button to highlight the desired programme.
Press "OK" buttonto add the reminder, then willappear alongside theselected
programme. When thereminder programme is about to start, a reminder window will appear.
Press "EXIT" button to quit thechannel schedule.

Channel List
The Channel Listpresents a listof all channels found during thechannel search. From the Channel List
you can watch and listen tothe selected channels, delete them from the list,
edit the nameof the channel,set a password to access thechannel.
Press "MENU " button to enterthe main menuof the STB.
Press "UP " or "DOWN " cursor button tohighlight .
Press "OK " button to enterChannel List menu.
Press "UP"or "DOWN"cursor button tohighlight a channel.
Press "OK"button to preview the selected channel.
Press "EXIT"button to quitthe channel listmenu and view the
channel on fullscreen.

Press the YELLOWbutton to delete the selected channel, The channel is permanently removed
and can onlybe restored by re scanning the channels..

Lock/Unlock a channel:
Enter the channellist menu, press "UP" or "DOWN"cursor button
to select yourdesired channel.
Press the BLUE button, you areasked to enter pin code.
Enter a correctpin code using the numeric buttons, press "OK"
button to confirm.(thedefault pin code is 888888)
Then a locksymbol displays alongsidethe selected channel, it shows
that the channelhas been locked.
Repeat to removethe lock symbol.
Press "EXIT " button to quit the channel list.

This menu allowsthe users toset TV shape, Video Output andOSD Transparency.
To delete allexisting channels inthe STB, andreset the STBto factory default
setting, this isalso useful ifyou move to another area andneed to rescan in all
the channels.

Press "OK" buttonto confirm, aconfirmation window appears.
