Safety Instructions
Please read these safety instructions careful-
ly and follow these guidelines when using
the product.
Never look direcly into the sun, any bright
light sources or laser based light sources
through your optical product. This can
cause irreparable eye damage. Optics in
riflscopes function as a magnifying glass,
therefore dramatically increasing the
intensity of the light source.
Store the riflescope and accessories inclu-
ded with the FLAGMASTERTM out of reach
of children. Some of our products may cont-
ain small parts which could create a choking
hazard for small children, or nylon straps
which could create a strangulation hazard.
Be cautious when touching metal parts

when the product has been stationary and
extensively exposed to the sun or the free-
zing cold, as extremely hot or frozen metal
components may cause an injury to the skin.
Avoid improper shock, such as dropping
this porduct. It is an optical instrument and
damage may occur.

Congratulations on the purchase of your
FLAGMASTER
TM with PinFinderTM and
SLOPE Technology.
The new FLAGMASTERTM is a precision optical instru-
ment to accurately and quickly measure distances on
any golf course under any conditions This guide will
describe the functions of the rangefinder and explain
the use of the individual technologies to help improve
your golf game. Please review the instructions careful-
ly to get the most out of your new product.
INTRODUCTION
Your FLAGMASTERTM is designed to meet all your golf
laser rangefinding needs. In the development of the
FLAGMASTERTM, emphasis was placed on intuitive
user-friendliness. The integrated PinFinderTM and
SLOPE technology combined with one of the fastest
laser- rangefinding systems on the market and
excellent optical quality allows you to focus on the
essentials.
The FLAGMASTERTM is extremely compact and
designed for one-hand operation with a soft touch
finish for confident handling. The eyepiece has an

integral diopter adjustment to adapt to any user. The
FLAGMASTERTM has a 6x magnification and measures
distance from 6– 1,800 yards, depending on the
environmental conditions, and features PinFinderTM
technology to confirm when exact distance to the flag.
CAUTION
Safety precautions and hazard warnings
Never operate the laser measurement (Range
Button) when people are in the direct field of view
of the laser.
Never operate the laser measurement (Range
Button) in the direction of your own eye or people
around you.
Never look with the FLAGMASTERTM into the sun or
other bright light sources.
Do not let the product get in the hands of children.
Never open the device.
Never modify the device electronics.
Do not use a battery other than the specified CR2
battery.

FUNCTIONALITY
The FLAGMASTERTM uses an infrared laser and de-
tector to accurately determine the range to a target.
By emitting a series of eye-safe laser pulses and then
determining the time it takes for those pulses to travel
to and return from the target, the FLAGMASTERTM can
calculate an exact distance. The rangefinder system
leverages advanced algorithms running within the
digital signal processor to improve range performan-
ce and extend the maximum range performance of
the device.
MEASURING ACCURACY
AND TARGET TEXT
Under normal conditions, the measurement accuracy
is +/-1 yards up to a distance of 1,000 yards. From a
distance of 1,000 yards to1,800 yards, the measu-
rement accuracy is +/-2 yards. The measurement
accuracy and distance depends largely on the reflec-
tivity of the target and the environmental conditions
at the time of the measurement. Depending on the
reflectivity of the target and environmental conditions,
the maximum distance and measurement accuracy

may vary. Color, surface texture, size, shape, fog, rain,
measurement angle and scattered light influence the
measurement positively or negatively.
Target color shiny surfaces = high reflection properties
Target color black = low reflection properties
Sunshine = shorter range
Covered sky = longer range

SET-UP AND INITIAL USE
Insert and replacing the battery
The package includes a CR2 battery. Remove the
battery from the packaging. Flip up one half of the
battery cover. With this lever you turn the battery com-
partment counterclockwise to open the battery com-
partment. Insert the CR2 3-Volt lithium battery with the
negative contact facing into the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment with the battery cover,
turning clockwise. Hand-tighten the battery cover and
fold the clip back to its starting position. Be careful not
to over tighten because the battery cap can break the
flip lever. If the battery cap is not installed properly the
battery compartment may not seal properly.
Please check the battery every 3 months to prevent
battery leakage.
Most CR-2 batteries will run for several years in your
rangefinder; however we recommend replacing the
battery every year. Please always dispose of the bat-
tery in designated containers or dispensing stations
(see details in chapter „Disposal of electrical and
electronic equipment“).

SETTING THE EYEPIECE
The FLAGMASTERTM is equipped with a SpeedFo-
cus™-diopter adjustment. This is located near the
eyepiece. The eyepiece adjustment can be set bet-
ween +/- 3 diopters. Look through the eyepiece and
rotate the SpeedFocusTM by turning the focus wheel in
the + or - direction, depending on your personal eye
prescription. Rotate the SpeedFocus™ for best focus
of the display in relation to the image so that you can
clearly resolve both objects at the same time.

CONNECTING THE STRAP
Your FLAGMASTERTM comes with a lanyard or re-
taining strap. This strap ensures safe handling of the
product.
Guide the thin end of the strap loop through the strap
connection on your FLAGMASTERTM. Slide the thicker
end through the loop of the thin end and tighten the
strap. With the slider button you can change the loop
size that fits in your wrist. Please do not pull the loop
too tightly to avoid injury.

DISPLAY AND SYMBOLS
The HD display shows you the target point, the unit of
measurement in meters or yards, the SLOPE and the
current battery status.
After activation from sleep mode you will see all
available information on the display. To activate the
measurement simply press the Range button. The
FLAGMASTERTM measures the distance and displays
this for 10 seconds. To avoid confusion, you only see
the target point and the measured distance.

DIFFERENT SETTINGS (MODES)
Our goal was to provide you with the most intuitive
operation, but still to integrate all relevant modes. In
summary, you can set and select the following modes

Line of Sight or SLOPE mode. In SLOPE mode the
legal indicator will be turned on and should not be
used when prohibited in tournament play

PinFinder™ vibration on or off

PinFinder™
Your FLAGMASTER™ has a PinFinder™ which allows
you to specifically range the flag. Some courses use
a retroreflector or prism mounted on the top of the
pin. In PinFinder™ mode you will see the flag symbol
on the display. Move the target or aiming point of the
display towards the flag or top of the pin and you will
feel a vibration if the vibration is active.
Press and hold the Range button (A) (your FLAGMAS-
TER™ will automatically enter Scan mode). Carefully
move the aiming point over the flag or prism to while
the Range Button is held down. If you have locked in
on the flag or prism a circle will appear around the
flag icon and you will feel a vibration if the vibration
is active and in the display confirming you have a pin
lock. Upon release of the range button, the distance
will be displayed for 10 seconds.
