Usage
Usage
The FO Converter (24N978) is used to convert
the signal from the Display Control Module (DCM)
or Advanced Display Control Module (ADCM) to
communicate with a Programmable Logic Controller
(PLC). The FO Converter must be installed on the din
rail in either a 15V337 Advanced Web Interface (AWI)
Module or a 16M167 Power Supply with Barrier. If
used without a Modbus Gateway, the FO Converter
is then connected directly to the PLC.
If you want the FO Converter to communicate with
thePLCviae
thernet, a Modbus Gateway (24N977)
also is required. The Modbus Gateway also is
installed on the din rail in either the AWI Module
or the Power Supply. It is then connected to the
ethernet switch (supplied in AWI Module, or order
Graco PN 15V342, or user supplied).
Installation
To avoid electric shock, turn off equipment power
and shut off power at main circuit breaker before
installing. All electrical wiring must be done by a
qualified electrician and comply with all local codes
and regulations.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the circuit board, wear Part No.
112190 grounding strap and ground appropriately.

Mount the FO Converter (24N978) and the Modbus
Gateway (24N977, if used) on the din rail in a 15V337
Advanced Web Interface Module. The exact order of
components on the din rail is flexible.

3. Connect power terminals 23 (-) and 24 (+) on
the Modbus Gateway to the power supply. See
terminals labeled C in figure.
NOTE: To configure the device IP settings, use the
OEM NetbilerConfig utility found at www.anybus.com.
See the Installation Leaflet for the Anybus Modbus
Gateway (supplied) for more information.
If Connecting Directly to PLC:
