solar harge regulation and dire t urrent output Load ontrol. This devi e is mainly
used in small sized off-grid solar power systems.
The Grape Solar PWM-20A harge ontrollers have these features

4. Mounting Instruction
This ontroller an be mounted flush or flat with in luded bra ket at a ool dry and

weather safe lo ation.

Atta h the mounting bra ket to the ba k of the ontroller using s rews.
2.
Mark the bra kets mounting holes on the mounting surfe e.

Atta h the mounting bra ket to the mounting surfa e using s rews.

Make ne essary alterations to ensure the ontroller fits into the mounting surfa e
snugly.
Pre-install wires if needed (turn to next page for instru tions).

5.Wire Connection Sequences

During installation of your PWM controller, please follow below order of
connection

l.Conne t the positive battery wire followed by the negative battery wire.
2.Make sure your solar panels are fully overed to prevent ele tri al sho k. Conne t
the positive solar i array output wire followed by the negative solar array output
wire.
3.Conne t the DC Load wiring to the DC Load output (if appli able).

Pre start-up display y le when the MPPT ontroller turns on, this usually last several

se onds while ontroller dete ts operating environment.
LCD Screen Display Cycle

The battery voltage view will be displayed by default. Use the up and down arrow
keys to y le through different views.

The battery voltage view will resume upon 12 se onds of ina tivity.
·
The Error Code view will be displayed automati ally if there is any ontroller error
o urs.

Enter Load SET Mode by pressing the arrow key in Load Mode view only.

Short press the arrow key to y le through load modes before Long pressing the
arrow key again to save and exit.
Mode Definition Description

0 Daylight AutoControl The PV voltage turns on the load when it is light
1~14 Daylight On /Timer Off
DC Load turns on when daylight is dete ted.
DC Load turns off a ording to timer.
Mode 1 = turn off after 1 hour, et .
15 Manual Mode DC Load turns on/off by pressing the Load key.
16 Testing Mode DC Load turns on and off in a qui k su ession.

11. Controller Specification
The variable “n" is adopted as a multiplying fa tor when al ulating parameter
voltages, the rule for “n" is listed as: if battery system voltage is 12V, n=l; 24V, n=2.

For example, the equalize harge voltage for a 12V FLD (Flooded) battery bank is
14.8V*1=14.8V.
The equalizing harge voltage for a 24V FLD (Flooded) battery bank is
14.8V*2=29.6V.
