A-INTRODUCTION
ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L is an escape diving set for shallow
water only (it has a reduced volume of breathing air just
the necessary to have user escaping from water to
surface) and consists in a compact source of
independent air to be used in emergency scenario only.
ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L is not intended as a regular diving
system.
It is developed by RAVITY ZERO a long established
leader in military diving equipment.
Constructed from highly sophisticated materials, using
innovative processes and subjected to exhaustive
testing, it represents the result of maximum reliability
and ease of use.
B-SAFETY INFORMATION
The ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L is an emergency diving
apparatus for breathing air, is the result of new project
geared to maximum reliability and easy to use. However
its incorrect use may result in serious injury or death.
Before using this unit it is essential to obtain diver
certification and proper training through a training course
conducted from recognized agency.
This manual is intended as a guide to the correct use of
the unit, however it cannot replace the proper complete
training certification which is essential for the safe use of
this equipment.
This manual does not in itself contain all the information
necessary for safe use of ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L,
however in conjunction with certification from a training
course permits the safe use.

This manual also contains the basic instruction for routine
maintenance; failure to comply with these instructions
may result in serious injury or death.
It is extremely important to read and understand all the
information contained in this manual in order to extend
the knowledge of the ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L obtained
during the specialist training course.
This unit is constructed and sold exclusively for
emergency occasional use, and must be used exclusively
for this purpose, within the safety limit indicated below.
ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L is an emergency air source, don’t
meet requirement of EN250 and cannot be used as a
primary or reserve source of air for a diver (cylinder
volume is very limited).
Water temperature range: 2 ° - 40 °-/ 36 to 104°F
Operative limit deep : 15 meters max
Ascent rates: 30 meters per minute (6 meters per
minute far the last 6 meters)
Consumption air approx: 25 liters/min. (Approximately
30 breaths at surface)
Never overfill 3000 psi or 200 bar
Never use your ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L if damaged
Use dry air to refill the unit
Verify every year inside status of cylinder
Submit to regular test the cylinder according to nation
rules
Store the unit with 50/60 bar in a well ventilated dry area
The device must be inspected and serviced by experts at
regular intervals. Observe routine and maintenance

D -PREPARATION FOR USE
Before each dive, go through the following check test to
ensure that equipment is in correct working order.
Always refill with dry breathing air ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L
using universal refill adapter with pressure gauge
1-Remove cap from h.p. port
NOTE - Check threads of adapter and ESCAPE SYSTEM
0,5 L: if they are damaged stop the operation and ask to
your dealer for correct spare parts
2-Screw refill adapter
3-Screw refill adapter to a SCUBA tank valve with
connection EN144/2 or YOKE C A using apposite
connection
4-Assure that the purge valve installed on refill adapter
is closed
5-Open tank valve very slow
High pressure gauge installed progressive move from
zero to the maximum pressure that the breathing air
source is pressurized.
During this operation you can hear the air flow that
fasten refill your ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L

Control with tank valve the air flow that doesn’t be fast
(approx.1 min.)
NOTE: If during this process there is a leakage of air stop
immediately! Continued use may cause injury in this
case.
6-When the air flow stops you reached the balance
pressure from SCUBA tank and ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L;
check the h.p.gauge shows the correct pressure inside
the tank. Close the valve of SCUBA tank and open the
purge valve to discharge pressure in the adapter.
7-Check if h.p.manometer returned to zero and remove
refill adaptor from SCUBA tank and from ESCAPE SYSTEM
0,5 L
8-Screw by hand the protective cap to ESCAPE SYSTEM
0,5 L HP port
Final check operation before use.
1-Check the complete function of the ESCAPE SYSTEM
0,5 L with one or two breath and exhaust
2-Place the unit into the water and check leakage
3-Fix ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L with proper nylon band or
bag at your jacket or webbing-
E- USING THE ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L
1-Remove ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L from the bag
2-Remove mouthpiece cover
3-Place ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L into user’s mouth
4-Press purge button or exhale sharply to remove water
from the unit
5-Breath regular and start your ascent respecting the
rate of 6 mt. per minute

1-Remove ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L from holder and
mouthpiece cover
2-Wash ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L in a plenty of fresh water
for 20 min
3-Leave from water and shake the unit to drain the water
4-Depressurize ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L leaving a little
pressure inside
5- Dry and clean taking care perfect drain into first stage
compensation holes
6-Store the unit with 50/60 bar in a well ventilated and
dry area

ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L è una fonte indipendente di aria
che permette all'operatore di ritornare in superficie nel
caso in cui venga a mancare per qualsiasi ragione la
sorgente d’aria principale.
Il sistema è stato sviluppato dalla RAVITY ZERO
un’azienda con una lunga esperienza nel campo delle
attrezzature subacquee militari.
B-INFORMAZIONI DI SICUREZZA
ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L è un apparecchio per la
respirazione subacquea ed è il risultato di un nuovo
progetto indirizzato a massimizzare la sicurezza e la
facilità d’impiego. Tuttavia il suo incorretto utilizzo può
provocare seri danni a se stessi o a terzi.
Prima dell’utilizzo è essenziale ottenere una certificazione
attraverso un corso di addestramento condotto dalle
didattiche più riconosciute.
Lo scopo di questo manuale è quello di fornire una guida
al corretto utilizzo dell’apparecchio e non deve
rimpiazzare il corso di addestramento che è essenziale
per l’utilizzo in sicurezza di questo apparecchio.
Questo manuale non contiene tutte le informazioni
necessarie per l’uso dell’ ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L, tuttavia
unitamente ad un addestramento fornito da una didattica
ne permette un utilizzo in sicurezza.
Questo manuale contiene anche le istruzioni basiche per
la manutenzioni e la non osservanza delle istruzioni
fornite può provocare seri danni.
E’ estremamente importante leggere e capire tutte le
informazioni contenute in questo manuale allo scopo di
migliorare le conoscenze dell’apparecchio durante il corso
di addestramento.

Questo apparecchio è costruito e venduto esclusivamente
per uso occasionale di emergenza e può essere utilizzato
solo per questo scopo rispettando i limiti di sicurezza
indicati nel manuale.
ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L è un sistema di emergenza e non
rispetta la normativa EN250, non può essere utilizzato
come fonte primaria di aria (la ridotta capacità della
riserva d'aria consente approssimativamente 30 atti
respiratori in superficie).
Temperatura dell’acqua campo di utilizzo: 10°- 25°
Profondità operativa : 30 mt.
Velocità di risalita: 10 metri al minuto (6 metri al minuto
per gli ultimi 6 metri)
Consumo approssimativo di aria: 25 litri al minuto
(approssimativamente 30 atti respiratori in superficie)
Non ricaricare più di 200 ATM 3000 PSI
Non utilizzare ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L quando è
danneggiato
Utilizzare solo aria per respirazione secca e conforme alle
norme.
Verificare ogni anno lo stato interno della bombola
indipendentemente dalla normativa ADR in merito ai
collaudi.
Sottoporre al regolare test la bombola in conformità alle
normative nazionali.
Riporre l’apparecchiatura con 50/60 ATM in un posto
asciutto e ben ventilato.

D-PREPARAZIONE PRIMA DELL’USO
Prima di ogni immersione effettuate i seguenti controlli
all’apparecchiatura per accertarsi che sia tutto in perfetto
ordine.
NOTA- Ricaricare sempre l’ ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L con
aria respirabile secca prima di ogni immersione con
l’adattatore di ricarica fornito in dotazione in modo da
controllare la pressione interna dell’apparecchiatura
1-Rimuovere il coperchio dal raccordo filettato di ingresso
NOTA- Controllare lo stato dei filetti dell’adattatore e del
raccordo filettato dell’apparecchio, se per qualche ragione
fossero danneggiati non proseguire e recarsi dal
rivenditore per la manutenzione
2-Avvitare la parte dell’adattatore filettato 3/8” all'
ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L
3-Avvitare la parte dell’adattatore filettato alla valvola
della bombola da cui si vuole prelevare l’aria con una
delle due connessioni possibile EN144/2 o YOKE C A
4-Assicurarsi che la valvola di spurgo installata
sull’adattatore sia chiusa
5-Aprire la valvola della bombola sorgente lentamente: la
lancetta del manometro alta pressione installato
sull’adattatore di ricarica inizierà a muoversi .

Durante questa operazione avvertirete il rumore dell’aria
che velocemente passa nell’adattatore e riempie l’
ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L
Controllate con l’apertura della valvola della bombola la
velocità del flusso dell’aria che non deve essere rapido
ma progressivo fino al bilanciamento delle due pressioni.
NOTA- Se durante questa fase avvertite una perdita
d’aria fermatevi immediatamente, continuare è pericoloso
potrebbe causare gravi danni
6-Quando il travaso di aria finisce ed il manometro segna
la pressione massima il riempimento è terminato.
Chiudere la valvola della bombola sorgente ed aprire la
valvola di spurgo 3 posta sull’adattatore.
7-Controllare che il manometro sia ritornato a zero e
svitare l’adattatore di ricarica dalla bombola e
dall’ ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L
8-Riavvitare a mano il cappuccio di protezione
CONTROLLI FINALI PRIMA DELL’USO
1-Controllare il completo funzionamento dell’ ESCAPE
SYSTEM 0,5 L effettuando una o due inspirazioni ed
espirazioni
2-Immergere l’apparecchiatura nell’acqua e controllare
che non ci siano perdite
3-Mettere la copertura del boccaglio
4-Fissare l’apparecchio nell’apposito supporto di nylon o
nella borsa di contenimento bloccata al jacket o ad una
cinghia robusta

1-Togliere l’ ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L dalla borsa di
contenimento

2-Togliere la protezione del boccaglio
3-Mettere il boccaglio dell’ ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L in bocca
4-Premere il pulsante di spurgo o espirare profondamente
per rimuovere l’acqua dal secondo stadio dell’apparecchio
5-Respirare regolarmente ed iniziare la risalita
rispettando la velocità di 10 metri al minuto (tranne che
per l’ultimo tratto che deve essere di 6 metri al minuto)
F-CURA
1-Rimuovere ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L dal contenitore di
nylon e togliere la protezione al boccaglio
2-Lavare accuratamente ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L in una
bacinella di acqua dolce per 20 minuti
3-Togliere dall’acqua l’apparecchio ed agitarlo per
rimuovere l’acqua da ogni parte
4-Depressurizzare ESCAPE SYSTEM 0,5 L lasciando una
leggera pressione all’interno 30/40 ATM
5-Asciugare e pulire accuratamente specialmente nella
camera di compensazione
6-Immagazzinare l’apparecchio in un posto secco e ben
ventilato senza la protezione del boccaglio che lasciato
per un lungo periodo potrebbe deformarlo.
