6.1 Remote Controller Introduction of YAA1FB16(WiFi)
Buttons on remote controller
Introduction for buttons on remote controller
1. ON/OFF button
● Press this button to turn on/off the air conditioner.
● When turning on/off, clear off the original timer and sleep setting.
2. MODE button
● Press this button, the circulation mode will change as the g is
shown:
Tip: Cooling only type does not receive heating mode signal.
Temperature can't be adjusted under auto mode.
3. WiFi button
● Press " WiFi " button to turn on WiFi function, "WiFi " icon will be
displayed on the remote controller; Hold " WiFi " button for 5s to
turn off WiFi function and " WiFi " icon will disappear. Under off
status, press "MODE" and " WiFi " buttons simultaneously for 1s,
WiFi module will restore factory settings.
● This function is only available for some models.
4. +/- button
● For every press of "-" or "+" button, the set temperature will
decrease or increase 1°C. Press "-" or "+" button for over 1
second, the temperature value will be changed quickly and the
information will be sent until the button is loose.
● Press "-" and "+" button at the same time for 3 seconds to lock
or unlock the keyboard, after locking, the remote controller will
display the lock icon " ", at this moment, touch either button, the
lock icon will blink three times and the status is unchanged. After
unlocking the keyboard, the lock icon of displayer will disappear.
5. LIGHT button
● Press this button to control the LED status on the displayer, the
circulation change is as follow:

● Press this button, the air conditioner will conduct cooling mode.
Hold “cool” button under cooling mode for 5s to turn on or turn off
the cool function; once this function is turned on, “cool icon” and
“COOL” will be displayed on the remote controller.

● Press this button to set up and down swing status, the circulation
change is as follow:

● This is a general remote controller, when receiving " ", the
swing status is the same as " ".
13. E-HEATER button
● Under heating mode, press this button, circulation change of
auxiliary heating status is as follow:
● After starting heating mode, the remote controller will
automatically restore to the auxiliary heating status set previously.
● The function is only available for some models.
14. FAN button
● Press this button, circulation change of fan speed is as follow:
● Under dry mode, it can only be operated under the fan speed of .
● Quiet function can only be started under cooling and heating
mode. Turbo can be started under cooling and heating mode.
● When turning on the fresh air function with the remote controller
under off status, the fan speed will change circularly as follow:
15. SLEEP button
● Press this button, the sleeping status will be circulated in the
following sequence:
● Sleep 1 Cooling mode: under sleep status and after operation for
1h, the temperature of the master unit will increase 1°C, then 2°C
after 2h, after that, the unit will be operated at the set temperature.
Heating mode: under sleep status and after operation for 1h, the
set temperature will decrease, then decrease 2°C after 2h, after
that, the unit will be operated at the set temperature.
Sleep 2 is the sleep temperature curve preset based on the
system.
Sleep 3 is the sleep curve setting under DIY sleep mode:
(1) Under Sleep 3 mode, long press "U&D FIXED ANGLE" button
to enter personalized sleep setting status, as the g shown:

(2) Adjust "-" or "+" button to change the corresponding set
temperature, after that, press "U&D FIXED ANGLE" button for
conrmation to set temperature for the next hour, until temperature
setting for the next 8h is finished. If sleep curve setting is
completed, at this time, the remote controller will display again.
(3) If not pressing any buttons in 10 seconds, the remote controller
will exit sleep curve setting status automatically and restore the
original display. During setting process, if pressing "ON/OFF",
"Timer", "Sleep" or other modes, it will exit the sleep curve setting
as well.
● Sleep 4 is the afternoon nap mode. The temperature will be
changed automatically according to afternoon nap status.
● If re-energizing the unit after power off, sleep mode will be
cancelled acquiescently; if micro sense function is not activated,
when starting the sleep function, quiet fan speed will be started
automatically.

● Press this button under power-on or power-off status can turn on
or turn off fresh air function.
● If the fresh air/exhaust air indicator of air conditioner “ ”
ashes, it is reminding to replace the healthy lter. After replacing
the filter, press “ HEALTH ” button via remote controller for 3
seconds, the replacing reminding will be eliminated.
17. I SENSE button
● In Cool or Heat mode, press this button and the unit will work in
the following sequence:
● FOLLOW: the unit will control the vertical and horizontal swing

● AVOID: the unit will control the vertical and horizontal swing
louvers automatically according to the body sensing device so as
to avoid direct airow to people.
18. Auto clean button
● Under unit off status, hold "MODE" and "FAN" buttons
simultaneously for 5s to turn on or turn off the auto clean function.
When the auto clean function is turned on, indoor unit displays
"CL". During the auto clean process of evaporator, the unit will
perform fast cooling or fast heating. There may be some noise,
which is the sound of owing liquid or thermal expansion or cold
shrinkage. The air conditioner may blow cool or warm air, which is
a normal phenomenon. During cleaning process, please make sure
the room is well ventilated to avoid affecting the comfort.
● Notice: The auto clean function can only work under normal
ambient temperature. If the room is dusty, clean once a month; if
not, clean once every three months. After the auto clean function
is turned on, you may leave the room. When auto clean is nished,
the air conditioner will enter standby mode.
● This function is only available for some models.
Replacement of batteries in remote controller
NOTICE:
1. Don’t mix the new battery with the old one and batteries of
different types shall not be mixed. The remote controller shall be
kept well; Liquid shall not ow into the remote controller; the remote
controller shall avoid direct sunshine or not be put in places with
high temperature.
2. If not using the remote controller for a long time, please take out
the battery.
3. When the remote controller is sending message, " " icon
will blink for about 1 second. When receiving effective remote
message, the air conditioner will give out a sound.
1. Slightly press the " " mark, then push the battery cover of
remote controller towards the arrows direction.
2. Install two new No.7 (1.5V) dry batteries and ensure " " and
" " is correctly placed.
3. Close the battery cover of remote controller.
Remark: the remote controller will display the remaining battery life,
when it displays " ", please replace the battery immediately.

6.2 Description of Each Control Operation
● Indoor unit
1. This controller design has the following functions:
1.Auto; 2.Cool; 3.Dry; 4.Fan; 5.Heat.
2. Targets of controller control:
1.Indoor fan:
Cooling mode: totally 7 fan speeds (including quiet, fan
speed 1, fan speed 2, fan speed 3, fan speed 4, fan speed
5 and turbo);
Heating mode: totally 7 fan speeds (including quiet, fan
speed 1, fan speed 2, fan speed 3, fan speed 4, fan speed
5 and turbo);
Fan mode: totally 5 fan speeds (including fan speed 1, fan
speed 2, fan speed 3, fan speed 4 and fan speed 5, the
same as cooling mode);
Dry mode: only fan speed 1, the same as cooling mode;
Auto mode: totally 5 fan speeds (including fan speed 1, fan
speed 2, fan speed 3, fan speed 4 and fan speed 5), the
same as each operation mode (cooling mode, fan mode and
heating mode).
2.Up&down swing step motor;
3.Left&right swing step motor (only applicable for the model
with left&right swing);
4.One set of auxiliary electric heater;

3.Basic functions of the system:
1.Cooling mode:

3.Heating mode (not available for cooling only unit):
①Heating conditions and process (for the inverter model,
please refer to the instructions of outdoor unit);
②Defrosting conditions and process (indoor unit control,
for the inverter model, please refer to the instructions of
outdoor unit). Normal intelligent defrosting, automatically
defrost according to the defrosting situation; the unit doesn’t
stop during defrosting and the indoor fan starts according to
the defrosting situation.
③Protection functions (for the inverter model, please refer
to the instructions of outdoor unit).
4.Fan mode:
Under this mode, indoor fan motor operates according to the
set fan speed. The compressor, outdoor fan, 4-way valve
and electric heating tube stop operation.
Under this mode, temperature setting range is 16~30 ℃.
The display displays the set temperature.
5.Auto mode:
Under this mode, the system will select its operation mode
(cooling, heating or fan) automatically according to the
change of ambient temperature. The display displays the set
temperature.
There is 30s delay protection for mode switching. Protection
functions are the same as those in any other mode.
4. Status of IDU display board
1. During energizing, the display icons are all on and then
only the power indicator is on. When turning on the unit by
remote control, the nixie tube displays the set temperature.
2. During defrosting, the defrosting indicator is displayed (or
the power indicator blinks for 10s and is off for 0.5s). Under
auto mode, the nixie tube displays 27 in cooling and fan,
and the nixie tube displays 24 in heating.
3.The nixie tube displays the set temperature.
5. Other controls
1. Timer function:
Timer on: timer on can be set under unit off status. If the
selected on time is reached, the controller will run according
to previous setting status. Timer setting range is 0.5 ～24h
in 30min increments.
Timer off: timer off can be set under unit on status. If the
selected off time is reached, the unit will be turned off. Timer
setting range is 0.5 ～24h in 30min increments.
2. Auto button: (valid only within 5min after energizing)
If this button is pressed, the unit will operate in auto mode
and auto fan speed. The swing motor operates while the
IDU fan operates. Press this button again to turn off the unit.
3. Buzzer:
When the controller is energized or any button is pressed
or any remote control signal is received, the buzzer will give
out a beep.
4. Sleep function:
Under this mode, the unit will operate in suitable sleep curve
according to different set temperature.
5. E-joy mode:
①The unit will operate in cooling, heating, fan or other
mode intelligently according to outdoor ambient temperature,
indoor ambient temperature and setting conditions.
② It will automatically enter or exit sleep mode according to
the light intensity (only available for photosensitive model).
6. Auto fan speed control:
Under this mode, IDU fan will automatically operate in ve
fan speeds of high, medium high, medium, medium low and
low according to the changes of ambient temperature.

7. Left&right swing control:
Select different left&right swing directions according to the
left&right swing remote control status. Left position ①,
second left position ②, middle position ③, second right
position ④, right position ⑤, left&right swing from position
①~⑤, stop position.
8. Up&down swing control:
Up&down swing consists of the big air deector and small
air deector; after energizing, the air deector will arrange
reset action until it is closed;；
After turning on the unit, the air deflector will arrange full
swing or stop at any position according to the remote control
status. Meanwhile, it can select 3 different position swing for
air supply through the fixed-angle air supply button; when
up&down full swing is set, the big and small air deectors
will swing to the paralell point and arrange full swing
simultaneously.
9. Display
①Operation icon and mode icon display
After energizing, all display icons will be displayed once.
Under standby status, operation indication icons are
displayed in white. If light button is turned off, all displays
are off too.
② Nixie tube display
When energizing and turning on the unit for the first time,
the nixie tubee displays current set temperature in default (
set temperature range is 16 ～30℃).
6. Special functions
1. Power-saving mode:
Press the power-saving button of the remote control to
set the power-saving state to on or off. After the power-
saving status is turned on, the air conditioner will slightly
adjust the working output of the air conditioner actuator
according to the current operation environment, user setting
conditions and its working status, so as to meet the comfort
requirements of the human body while providing energy-
saving effect.
2. Cool sense mode:
Hold on pressing the cooling button on the remote control
for 5 seconds to set the cool sense mode status to on or off.
After the cool sense mode is turned on, the air conditioner
will slightly adjust the working output of the air conditioner
actuator according to the user setting conditions and its
working status, so as to improve the cooling effect.
Note: The power-saving mode and the cool sense mode
cannot be turned on simultaneously.
3. Fresh air function (only for the model with fresh air
function)
①Indoor environment indicator
The fresh air model is equipped with the CO2sensor to
detect the indoor CO2concentration. When the fresh air is
set to "on" or the fresh air is set to "smart", the conditions
for opening the fresh air are met. The CO2concentration
indicator " " on the panel can display three colors of
"green", "yellow (orange)" and "red" to indicate the indoor air
level "excellent", "medium" and "poor";
The fresh air/exhaust air display icon " " on the panel
is used to indicate the on/off status of the fresh air. This
icon also has a lter cleaning reminder function. When the
cumulative operation time of fresh air reaches the upper
limit set by the program, each time the fresh air function is
turned on, the " " icon blinks continuously for 10 seconds,
reminding the user to clean or replace the fresh air filter.
After cleaning or replacing the filter, you need to hold on
pressing the "Fresh air" button on the remote control for
3s to reset the cumulative operation time of the fresh air
blower.
② Fresh air ventilation
The fresh air model is equipped with two modules of fresh
air suction and exhaust at the same time. The user can set
③modes of "fresh air on", "smart fresh air", and "fresh air
off". When "smart fresh air" is set, the actual fresh air switch
is automatically controlled by the air conditioner according
to the actual ambient air quality.
● Outdoor unit
1. Cooling mode:
Cooling conditions and process:
Temperature difference △T = (Tamb. - ⊿Tsupplementary) - Tset
If △T≥0.5℃, the unit starts cooling;
During cooling operation, if { △T≤-3 ℃and lasts 2min}, or
{△T≤-2 ℃and the frequency is reduced to the lower limit
for 5min}, or { △T＜-1℃and the frequency is reduced to
the lower limit for 10min}, the unit will stop for reaching the
temperature point in cooling, or enter the ultra-low frequency
operation mode; otherwise, the original operation state is
maintained.
Under this mode, the 4-way valve is not energized, and the
temperature setting range is 16 ～30℃.
Under this mode, when the compressor stops due to a
failure, the indoor fan and swing fan will operate according
to the original status.
2. Dry mode
Dry conditions and process:
