1. Introduction
1.1 Introduction to the HAD 18G
The HDMI 18Gbps Audio De-embedder extracts audio signals from any HDMI compliant
source to digital optical or analog stereo L/R audio outputs. It supports video resolution up
to 4K2K@50/60Hz (YUV444) and 10bits HDR (High Dynamic Range) pass through. HDMI
high resolution digital audio formats bypass, LPCM 2CH, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus,
Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio, audio sampling rate up to 192 kHz. HDCP 2.2 and
CEC bypass are supported.

• Extracts HDMI audio to multi-channel optical (SPDIF) or L/R analog audio
• Optical audio supports LPCM 2CH, Dolby Digital 2/5.1CH, DTS 2/5.1CH
• Supports HDMI High Bit Rate (HBR) audio pass through
• Audio sample rates up to 192kHz
• 10bits HDR (High Dynamic Range) pass through
• Supports CEC bypass

2. Panel Description
2.1 Front Panel
1) DC 5v: Connect to included power supply
2) Power Indicator: Illuminates when properly powered.
3) EDID Selector: Alters the EDID information to the HDMI Source (See Table Below)
4) HDMI In: Connect to the HDMI source
5) Link Indicator: Illuminates when signal is detected on the HDMI input

2.2 Rear Panel
1) HDMI Out: Connect to HDMI display.
2) Stereo Out: Connect to an audio amplifier or AVR using a stereo 3.5mm (TRS) cable

3. System Connection
3.1 Usage Precautions
1) System should be installed in a clean environment that has a proper temperature and
humidity.
2) All of the power switches, plugs, sockets and power cords should be installed properly.
3) All devices should be connected before powering on the devices.

3.3 Connection Procedure
Step1. Set the EDID selector switch to the desired mode.
Step2. Connect an HDMI source (such as a set top box) to the HDMI IN port with an HDMI
cable.
Step3. Connect an HDMI display to HDMI OUT port with an HDMI cable.
Step4. Connect the desired audio output (Stereo Out and/or Optical Out)
Step5. Connect the DC 5V power adaptor to the power port.

6. Troubleshooting & Maintenance
l No image on display:
l Ensure that the display device has been set to the correct input.
l Ensure that the HDMI cables used for both the source and the display are properly
connected and are working. Test the HDMI cables directly from a source to display
and ensure their operation.
l Possible EDID issue – change switch to ‘Pass Thru’ setting
l No Audio from the analog outputs:
l Change the EDID switch to ‘Stereo’ setting
l Optical audio only outputs stereo audio
l Change the EDID switch to ‘Bitstream’ setting
If your problem persists after following the above troubleshooting steps, please contact
your authorized reseller or Green Audio technical support.

1) Product Limited Warranty: We warrant that our products will be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for three years.
2) Warranty coverage may be voided when:
l The warranty period has expired
l The factory applied serial number has been altered or removed from the product
l There is damage, deterioration or malfunction caused by:

l Use of supplies or parts not meeting the specifications
