Installation Detail
Planting
Plant tree as normal, backlling to approximately 300mm below nal ground level. Remember
to allow for mulch.
Laying the pipe
Lay pipe in loop around the root ball system trimming pipe length to ensure snug t in the tree
pit. Pipe should be laid in a loop as near to horizontal as practical in site conditions. Both ends
of the pipe should then be connected into the plastic tee junction. Ensure that pipes are pushed
in at least 50mm.
The inlet should be not more than 50mm above nished surface levels.
Backlling
When the RootRain Urban is assembled, backll layers rming gently over the pipe. Grid top
should protrude slightly to prevent ingress of mulch or earth.

1. Ensure leaves and debris are cleared from
the inlet regularly
2. Check annually for blocking or silting, wash
through thoroughly with hose
3. Replace damaged/missing caps if required
