bly. The information is very important for installation and correct use of the material.
Adhere to the described assembly steps and observe the notes and recommendations.
Only trained personnel may put the systems into operation.

These instructions is meant for trained technicians with good skills in assembly technology.
Only qualified technical personnel with the respective assembly experience may install
window shutters

The wing shutters have been approved for export and use in Austria.

Griesser AST GmbH hereby declare that the external window shutters conform to the basic
requirements and other relevant specifications contained in the EU standards.
This is documented by the CE marking.

property. The signal word "Danger" is used to indicate the risk of personal injury, while the
signal word "Caution" is used to indicate the risk of damage to property.

Observe the applicable accident prevention regulations.
Close off a sufficient space around the assembly area.
Check any available scaffolds and installations in terms of their safety.
Observe the regulations applicable to dowel and fastening material.
Always work with undamaged and suitable tools.
Keep plastic films, packaging material as well as small parts away from children –
risk of suffocation!

Warranty claims are forfeited if damage is due to the non-compliance with the brochure or
the attached document. GRIESSER AST GmbH does not accept liability for consequential
damage.

installation.
Except for the actions described in the operating manual and the assembly instructions,

Marking
Depending on the quantity, the components for the same window shutter can be packed
in several cartons.

Mounting
4.1
Preparation for mounting
Checking the installation dimensions
The main dimensions must be checked according to the dimension sheet prior to
installation.
The installation tolerances according to the Technical Datasheet must be
adhered to.
Orientation at the installation site
Aids (table, crane, ladder, etc.)
Selection of tools and mountings
Electrical connection with motor connectors
Check material
Distribute material (how and where)
Dimension sheets, manufacturing notes
Study documents
Installation dimension check (width x height)

Installation in an elevated area
Fall protection
Workers run the risk of falling when working at elevated heights. Suitable anti-fall guards
must be used.
4.4
Fasteners
In the installed condition, the wing shutter only meets the requirements of the given wind
class when
the clamps are installed taking the anchor plug extraction force into
consideration.
the processing guidelines of the used dowel pins were observed during
assembly.
4.5
Pre-installation of SystemFix window shutters (installation from outside)
1.
Place shutters by position. Measure
from the wall brackets.
2.
Mark the band position on the
shutters.
Attention
Attention to the installation situation!
3.
Attach part 1 and 2 to the frames and
push together following the direction
of the arrows.

Insert band (3).
5.
Fasten set screw (5) and tighten
screw (4).
6.
Bring SystemFix to the proper
position.
7.
Tighten the set screw.

Pre-installation of JustierFix window shutters (montage from inside)
1.
Adjust offset and band length (note
measurement K1 and K2 on the
measurement sheet) and tighten with
a hex key screwdriver.

K1: between 150 –400 mm
K2: Panel height minus K2
between 90 –355 mm

Installation of long bands
Also mount the rivet for Model G in
accordance with the diagram.
4.8
Installation of the clamps
1.
Clamp installation included concrete
Place the dowels in the drill hole
such that when the clamp is screwed
in, no risk of splitting is exerted on
the reveal side.
The set depth for the clamps should
be 80 mm.

Attaching or installing the installation
cylinders must be done before stuccoing!

Determine the position of the clamps
according to the measurement sheet.
Set drill depth gauge and mark the
attachment points.
Drill holes.

Fasten clamps and tighten.
Attention
Pay attention to the correct sealing
of the clamps.
4.9
Installation of the window shutters
Set the window shutters in place and
check that they function properly.
4.10
Installation of the shutter retention elements
Select the screw-in depth so that the wings, when open, are parallel to the facade.
1.
Shutter holder
Install the shutter retention element
in the middle (at least 180 mm from
the band pivot axes).
2.
Convenience casement holder
The convenience casement holder is
pre-installed on the panels.
Determine the position the wall
faster and mark using the drill depth
gauge.
Drill holes and tighten shutter
holder.

The door casement holder is pre-
installed on the panels.
Determine the position the wall
faster and mark using the drill depth
gauge.

Attention
Setting the retention element is done
appropriate to the surface. (refer to 4.4
Fasteners)
4.11
Installation of the shutter fasteners
1.
Shutter middle lock
Fasten the shutter lock plate with the
lever / ring using the frame profile
and tighten.
Attention
For movable slats, install the fastener
according to the situation!
2.
Rod lock / espagnolette, round
Fasten the rod lock / espagnolette in
the middle, tighten above and below.

Functional check
1.
Check that the wings are parallel and
at the same level and correct as
necessary.
2.
Correct the band position as
necessary, adjust using the set
screw.
3.
Check the functioning of the lock.
