El uso incorrecto o el conectar incorrectamente el
inversor de potencia puede dañar el equipo o crear
condiciones peligrosas para los usuarios.
PRECAUCIÓN: Identifique las condiciones o prácti-
cas que puedan dañar la unidad u otro equipo.
1. MANTENGA A LOS NIÑOS ALEJADOS DE ESTE PRODUCTO.
Los inversores generan la misma corriente que un
enchufe de corriente normal de casa.
2. NO USE el inversor en presencia de humos in-
flamables o gases, como los gases emitidos por un
motor a gasolina o cerca de tanques de gas propano.
No use el inversor de corriente en lugares cerrados,
cerca de baterías de automóviles de acido de plomo.
Estas baterías, son distintas a las baterías selladas,
ya que puede escaparse hidrogeno, el cual es un
gas explosivo, ya que puede producir chispas de
conexiones eléctricas.
3. SUJETE EL INVERSOR CUANDO INSERTE O REMUEVA UN
ENCHUFE DE CORRIENTE ALTERNA.
Mantenga sus dedos alejados de la salida de corriente.
Asegúrese que sus dedos no toque la clavija cuando
este parcialmente conectado al inversor.
4. NO CONECTE EL INVERSOR DE CORRIENTE DIRECTAMENTE
A UN ENCHUFE REGULAR.
Esto dañará el inversor y no
será cubierto por la garantía.
No conecte al inversor cualquier aparato que tenga
su conexión neutral a tierra.
INSTRUCCIONES ADICIONALES DE SEGURIDAD
1. No
inserte objetos extraños en la salida de voltaje
del inversor o en algún otro orificio de la maquina.
2. Nunca conecte el inversor a la toma de corriente
alterna directamente.
3. No use el inversor de corriente en temperaturas
arriba de 40° C.
4. No exponga el inversor de corriente al agua, a la
lluvia, a la nieve o el rocío.
Nota: El hacer caso omiso de estas insturcciones de
seguridad puede causar daños personales o daños
a la maquina. Esto tambien provocaría la anulación
de la garantía del producto.
ESTOS INVERSORES PUEDEN CONECTARSE POR LOS
SIGUIENTES CABLES:
- Adaptador de corriente del encendedor para auto.
- En algunos modelos caimánes, para cargas mayores
de 150 W (estos se conectan directamente a la
batería de 12 V).
-Salida puerto USB: corriente directa 5V (modelo IC4150).
CARACTERÍSTICAS DE SEGURIDAD
Nuestros inversores de corriente tienen las
siguientes características de protección:
PROTECCIÓN DE SOBRECARGA :cuando la potencia de
salida exceda los W marcados en el producto, el
inversor de corriente, se apagará.
FUSIBLES IRREMPLAZABLES: El adaptador de corriente
para auto, no tiene un fusibles reemplazables.
PROTECCIÓN CONTRA BAJO VOLTAJE: si el voltaje de la
batería del vehículo llega a ser muy bajo (voltaje
nominal: 10,5 V), el inversor se apagará.
PROTECCIÓN CONTRA ALTO VOLTAJE: Si el voltaje de la
batería del vehículo llega a ser demasiado alto (vol-
taje nominal: 15,5 V) el inversor se apagará.
PROTECCIÓN CONTRA EL SOBRE CALENTAMIENTO: cuando
el inversor de corriente se calienta, debido a la falta
de ventilación o a la alta temperatura ambiental. El
inversor se apagará.
PROTECCIÓN CONTRA CORTOS CIRCUITOS: protege la
unidad cuando un corto circuito es detectado en la
salida de corriente, el inversor se apagará.
Nota: Tanto la protección de bajo voltaje como la
de alto voltaje, reaccionaran apagándose con un
determinado voltaje, el cual se determinará por el
modelo que se adquirió.

IMPORTANTE: Para cargas menores de 150 W,
use el adaptador de corriente para el automóvil.
Para cargas mayores de 150 W utilice los caimanes
para conectar directamente a la batería de 12 V
(para los modelos que tengan esta característica)

3. Presione el interruptor ON (I) / OFF (0).
(A excepción del modelo IC4150)
MODELOS IC5300, IC5500
1. Conecte el positivo (+) y negativo (-) del cable
de corriente directa, a las terminales positivo (+) y
negativo (-) del inversor de corriente.
2. Conecte el dispositivo que desee hacer funcionar
en el inversor de corriente.
3. Presione el interruptor ON (I)/OFF (0).
NOTA: cuando el inversor de corriente no este en
uso, desconecte de la salida de 12 V para prevenir
alguna ligera descarga en la batería.
Utilizando los caimanes de conexión directa a la
batería de 12 V (modelos IC5300 y IC5500)
IMPORTANTE: La mayoría de los cables de 12 V
o de los conectores de corriente no son suficientes
para cargas de mayores de 150 W ya que se pueden
sobrecalentar y presentar peligro de incendio.
Para cargas mayores de 150 W conecte el inversor
directamente a la batería.
Nota: Utilice los cables proporcionados en los
modelos IC5500 e IC5300.
IMPORTANTE: Invertir la polaridad de los cables
positivos y negativos, podrían ocasionar daños al
inversor y así anular la garantía.
Cuando conecte el inversor a la batería verifique
que las conexiones estén correctamente conecta-
das. El cable positivo con la terminal positiva (+).
El cable negro debe conectarse a la terminal
negativa de la batería (-).
LOS CAIMANES DE CONEXIÓN DEBERÁN SER USADOS PARA
SUMINISTRAR CORRIENTE ALTERNA A PRODUCTOS QUE
REQUIEREN MAS DE 150 W DE POTENCIA
1. Conecte los caimanes al inversor (positivo con
positivo y negativo con negativo).
2. Conecte el cable rojo a la terminal de la
batería positiva (+) (siempre conectando primero
el polo positivo)
3. Conecte el caimán negro con con la terminal
negativa de la batería (esto como segundo paso).
4. Verifique que ambos estén correctamente
conectados. Una conexión floja puede causar una
baja de voltaje excesivo, lo cual puede causar un
daño al equipo o incluso riesgo de incendio.
5. Conecte el dispositivo que desee hacer funcionar
en el inversor de corriente
6. Presione el interruptor de encendido ON (I)/OFF (0).
7. Cuando el inversor de corriente no esté en uso,
desconectelo de la salida de 12 V para prevenir una
descarga total o parcial de la batería.
OPERACIÓN DEL INVERSOR
1.- Cuando el aparato está conectado correctamente
a la salida de 12 V y el inversor está encendido (I),
el LED verde se encenderá, el cual indicará que el
inversor de corriente esta listo para utilizarse.
2.- Conecte al inversor el producto o productos que
desea operar.
CONFORME LA BATERÍA ES USADA,
EL VOLTAJE EMPIEZA A BAJAR.
Cuando el sensor del inversor detecta que el vol-
taje de entrada ha bajado a 10,5 V el inversor se
apaga automáticamente y se enciende el LED rojo
indicando una falla. (Aplica a IC5500, IC5300 e IC4150)
Esto evita que la batería se dañe. Apague cualquier
dispositivo que el inversor esté alimentando.

IMPORTANTE: Para cargas menores de 150 W,
use el adaptador de corriente para el automóvil.
Para cargas mayores de 150 W utilice los caimanes
para conectar directamente a la batería de 12 V
(para los modelos que tengan esta característica)
UTILIZANDO EL ADAPTADOR DE CORRIENTE PARA EL AUTOMÓVIL
Debido a las limitaciones de la salida de corriente
de 12 V de los vehículos, el adaptador de corriente
del encendedor de cigarrillos debe de utilizarse con
productos que requieren potencia de 150 W o menos.
1.Inserteeladaptadorparaelencendedorde cigarril-
los del auto dentro de la salida de 12 V.
2. Conecte el dispositivo en el inversor de corriente.
3. Presione el interruptor ON (I) / OFF (0).
(A excepción del modelo IC4150)

1. Conecte el positivo (+) y negativo (-) del cable
de corriente directa, a las terminales positivo (+) y
negativo (-) del inversor de corriente.

en el inversor de corriente.

IMPORTANTE: La mayoría de los cables de 12 V
o de los conectores de corriente no son suficientes
para cargas de mayores de 150 W ya que se pueden
sobrecalentar y presentar peligro de incendio.
Para cargas mayores de 150 W conecte el inversor
directamente a la batería.
NOTA: Utilice los cables proporcionados en los
modelos IC5500 e IC5300.
IMPORTANTE:La batería de los vehículos están
diseñadas para proveer breves periodos de alta
corriente para el arranque del motor. No se diseñaron
para descargas constantes de energía. El uso de
los inversores en los vehículos hasta que la batería
alcance el voltaje mínimo que hace que se apague
el inversor, hará que la vida de la batería se acorte.
• Si un producto de corriente alterna excede los W
marcados en el producto y es conectado al inversor
de corriente, el inversor se apagará y la luz roja se
encenderá.
• Si el inversor de corriente excede la temperatura
segura de operación, ya sea debido a una ventilación
insuficiente o una temperatura alta en el ambiente,
el inversor automáticamente se apagara, y la luz
roja se encenderá.
• Si el sistema interno de la batería está defectuosa
y hace que el voltaje se eleve a niveles peligrosos, el
inversor se apagará automáticamente.
Se encenderá la luz roja indicando una falla.
PRECAUCIÓN: Aunque el inversor de corriente
cuenta con protección contra la sobrecarga de
voltaje, éste se dañará si el voltaje de entrada
excede los 16 V.
• En el caso de una sobrecarga de voltaje, bajo vol-
taje o sobrecalentamiento de la batería, el inversor de
corriente se apagará automáticamente.
TIEMPO DE FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA BATERÍA.
El tiempo de funcionamiento variará dependiendo
del nivel de la carga de la batería, de su capacidad y
del nivel de la energía de corriente alterna.
Con una batería regular de automóvil como
suministro de corriente y un aparato de 150 W, el
tiempo de operación es de 2 h a 2,5 h o más. Cuando
usa la batería de un vehículo como suministro de
corriente, se le recomienda encender el vehículo
cada 1 o 2 horas para recargar la batería antes de
que haya una descarga a niveles bajos.
El inversor de corriente puede funcionar mientras
que el motor esté funcionando, pero la caída de vol-
taje que ocurre al poner en marcha el motor puede
accionar la protección contra la caída de tensión.

Misusing or incorrectly connecting the power
inverter may damage the equipment or create
hazardous conditions for users.
CAUTION:Identify conditions or practices that
may damage the unit or other equipment.
1. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM POWER INVERTERS.
Inverters generate the same potentially lethal AC
power as a normal household wall outlet.
2. DO NO T use the power inverter in the presence
of flammable fumes or gases, such as in the bilge
of a gasoline-powered boat, or near propane tanks.
Do not use the power inverter in an enclosure
containing automotive-type, lead-acid batteries.
These batteries, unlike sealed batteries, vent
explosive hydrogen gas, which can be ignited by
sparks from electrical connections.
3. GRIP THE INVERTER CAREFULLY WHEN INSERTING OR
REMOVING AN AC PLUG
.Keep your fingers clear of the
AC outlet. Ensue that your fingers do not contact
the prongs of an AC plug when the plug is partially
inside the inverter.
4. DO NOT CONNECT LIVE AC POWER TO THE POWER
INVERTER’S AC OUTLETS.
This will damage the inverter,
and the damage is not covered by warranty. Do not
connect any AC load that has its neutral conductor
connected to ground to the power inverter.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do Not insert foreign objects in the power in-
verter outlets or other openings.
2. Never connect the inverter to power utility AC
distribution wiring.
3. Do Not use the power inverter in temperatures
over 40˚C
4. Do Not expose the power inverter to water,
rain, snow or spray.
Note: Failure to follow these safety instructions
may cause personal injury and/or damage to the
power inverter. It may also void your product war-
ranty.

- A cigarette-lighter adapter, and in some models
battery clips (which should be connected directly to
a 12 volt battery) for loads over 150 watts.

SAFETY FEATURES
Our Power Inverters has the following safety
features:
OVERLOAD PROTECTION: When the output power ex-
ceeds the mentioned in the product, the power in-
verter will shut itself off.
NON USER-REPLACEABLE FUSE: The cigarette lighter
adapter cable has a non-user fuse.
LOW BATTERY SHUTDOWN: If the vehicle’s battery
voltage becomes too low (nominal voltage: 10.5 V),
the inverter will shut down.
HIGH-INPUT VOLTAGE PROTECTION: If the vehicle’s bat-
tery voltage becomes too high (nominal voltage:
15.5 V), the inverter will shut down.
OVERHEAT PROTECTION: When the Power Inverter gets
too hot, due to insufficient ventilation or a high
temperature environment, it will shut down.
SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION: To protect the unit,
whenever a short circuit is detected at the output,
the Power Inverter will shut itself off.

IMPORTANT: For loads less than 150 W, use the
lighter plug; for loads greater than 150 W use the
12 V cable clips to connect the power inverter
directly to a 12 V battery. (for models with this
feature).
USING THE DC CABLE WITH CIGARETTE-LIGHTER PLUG
Due to limitations of 12 V (ligher-plug) outlets in
vehicles or boats, the lighter plug should only be
used to supply AC power to products that require
130 W (about 1,15 A) or less.

1. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) DC cables
to the positive (+) and negative (-) DC terminals on
the power inverter.

3. Press the ON (I) / OFF (0) switch.
Note :When the power inverter is not in use, unplug
it from the 12 V outlet to prevent slight discharge
of the battery.
USING THE DC CABLE WITH 12 V CABLE CLIPS
(FOR IC5500 & IC5300 SURTEK MODELS)
Warning:
The wires in most 12 V sockets or
power outlets are not large enoug for loads greater
than 150 W: they will overheat and present a fire
hazard.
For loads greater than 150 W, connect the inverter
directly to the battery and use appropriately sized
wires like those in the battery clip wire assembly
provided with the inverter.
IMPORTANT: Reversing the positive and negative
battery cables will damage the inverter and void
your warranty. When you connect the inverter to
the battery, double check the connections.
The red (positive +) terminal on the inverter and
the positive (+) terminal on the battery.
The black wire must be connected to the black
terminal on the inverter and the negative terminal
on the battery.
THE BATTERY CABLE CLIPS SHOULD BE USED TO SUPPLY AC
POWER TO PRODUCTS THAT REQUIRE 150 W OR GREATER.
1. Attach the supplied cable clips to the inverter.
2. Attach the red clip to the red (positive)
battery terminal.
3. Attach the black clip to the black (negative)
battery terminal.
4. Check that both clips are securely connected to
the battery terminal. A loose connection will cause
excessive voltage drop and may cause the cables to
overheat. This could result in equipment damage
or fire.
5.Plug thedevice youwant tooperate intothe power
inverter.
6. Press the ON / OFF switch.
7. When the power inverter is not in use, unplug
it from the 12 V outlet to prevent slight discharge
of the battery.
1. When properly connected to a 12 V outlet, and
when the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position, the
green LED light will glow, indicating that the pow-
er inverter is ready to use.
2. Plug the product (s) you want to operate into
the AC outlet.
• AS THE BATTERY IS USED, ITS VOLTAGE BEGINS TO FALL.
When the power inverter senses that the voltage
at its DC input has dropped to 10,5 V the inverter
automatically shuts down and the light red LED
lights, indicating a fault.
This prevents the battery from being damaged.
Turn off any device that the power inverter is pow-
ering.

IMPORTANT: Vehicle batteries are designed to
provide brief periods of very high current needed
for engine starting. They are not intended for
constant deep discharge. Regularly operating
the power inverter from a vehicle battery until
low-voltage shutdown occurs will shorten the life
of the battery.
• If an AC product rated higher than Watts men-
tioned in the product is plugged into the power
inverter, the inverter will shut down. The red fault
light comes on.
• If the power inverter exceeds a safe operating
temperature, due to insufficient ventilation or a
high-temperature environment, it automatically
shuts down. The red fault light comes on.
• Should a defective battery charging system cause
the battery voltage to rise to dangerously high
levels, the power inverter automatically shuts
down. The red fault light comes on.
CAUTION: Although the power inverter incorpo-
rates protection against over-voltage, it may still be
damaged if the input voltage exceeds 16 V.
• In the event of an overload, low battery voltage
or overheating, the power inverter automatically
shuts down.
BATTERY OPERATING TIME
Operating time will vary depending on the charge
level of the battery, its capacity and the power level
drawin by the particular AC load. With a typical
vehicle battery and a 130 W load, an operating time
of 2 to 2,5 hours or more can be expected.
When using a vehicle battery as a power source, it
is strongly recommended to start the vehicle every
hour or two to recharge the battery before its
capacity drops too low.
The power inverter can operate while the engine is
running, but the normal voltage drop that occurs
during starting of the engine may trigger the
inverter’s low voltage shutdown feature.
INTERFERENCE WITH ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Generally, most AC products operate with the
power inverter just as they would with household
AC power. Below is information concerning two
possible exceptions.
BUZZING SOUND IN AUDIO SYSTEMS AND RADIOS
Some inexpensive stereo systems and AM-FM radios
have inadequate internal power supply filtering
and “buzz” slightly when powered by the power
inverter. Generally, the only solution is an audio
product with a higher quality filter.
TELEVISION INTERFERENCE
With weak TV signals interference may be visible
in the form of lines scrolling across the screen. The
following should minimize or eliminate the problem:
- Increase the distance between the power inverter
and the TV, antenna and cables.
- Adjust the orientation of the power inverter,
television, antenna and cables.
- Maximize TV signal strength by using a better
antenna and use shielded antenna cable where
possible
