Your Guy Laroche timepiece carries an internationally honoured guarantee
which covers all manufacturing defects, except for breakage, battery, glass
and leather strap, for one years from the date of purchase. Should your Guy
Laroche timepiece be in need of attention, please present this guarantee duly
signed and completed.
Any other request (replacement, depreciation, indemnity, loss, accident,
improper handling, etc.) cannot be claimed.
Postage, packing and insurance costs are at the expense of the sender.
IMPORTANT:
When mailing the watch, this guarantee must be enclosed, correctly filed in
and dated. The sender needs to bear return postage, insurance and all relevant
handling charges.
If you are in a different locality or abroad during the period of guarantee your
watch can be sent direct to one of the Guy Laroche general agents.

Pos. II Quick-change correction for date
The date can also be corrected during the day-changing
phase between 10.00 pm and midnight. The date of the
following day has to be set, because no automatic date
change takes place at midnight.
– Pull the crown out to position II ( watch still running ).
– Turn the crown clockwise until the required date appears.
– Push the crown back into position I.
Pos. III Setting the time ( both time zones together )

Pull the crown out to position III ( watch stopped ).

Turn the crown, until the current time is displayed
( remember the 24-hour cycle ).

During the time setting of the 2nd time zone,
crown A must be in position I.
– Pull the crown out to position II.
– Turn the crown, until the desired time is displayed.
– Push the crown back into position I.

Big Date
( Cal. 7004P )
1. Pull the crown to position 3 and turn clockwise to change the weekday.
2. Push the crown back to position 1.
Remark:
Turning the crown too quickly may cause false date indication.
This could be solved by setting the date in position 3.

Chronograph Function
2 Push-buttons:
Push-button A at 2 o’clock: Stat-stop of a chronograph
Push-button B at 4 o’clock: Return to zero of chronograph
1. Ensure that the crown is in position 1 and that the chronograph hands are
set to zero.
Push-button A. Upper: start/stop control push-button
1. This push-button enables you to start and stop the chronograph function.
2. Pressing once starts the central seconds-hand.
3. As soon as the seconds hand has revolved once around the dial the minute
hand is set into action.
Accumulated Timing
1. Press push-button A once to start timing.
2. Press push-button A the second time to stop timing.
3. Press push-button A the third time to continue timing from when it was
last stopped.

moving forward one unit for each complete cycle of the seconds-hand.

Adjust hands to their zero position:
1. If one or more chronograph hands are at their proper zero position, a
battery change may be necessary.
2. Pull the crown to position 3 and press the push-buttons A and B
simultaneously and hold for 2 seconds. 3. Step 2 activates the
corrective mode, which is indicated by the centre seconds hand
rotating 360 degrees.
4. When the corrective mode is activated, the seconds hand can be adjusted.
5. Press push-button A once to advance by one second.
6. Hold push-button A down to advance continuously.
7. Press push-button B to adjust the minute and hour counter.
8. Press push-button A once to advance by one step.
9. Hold push-button A down to advance continuously.
10. Push the crown back to position 1 after all changes are made.

Alarm Function
Setting the alarm:
1. Press and hold push-button B for 2 seconds.
2. Once the minute hand on the alarm time jumps a minute, the function is
activated.
3. Press push-button B once to change by the minute.
Press and hold P2 until the desired time, then release.
Activating the alarm:
1.The alarm is activated by briefly pressing P2.
2. 2 beeps indicates the activation of the alarm. 1 beep indicates the
deactivation of the alarm.
Remark:
If the push button is not pressed for 10 seconds, the setting mode is
automatically deactivated. At the same time the alarm is activated, which
is indicated by 2 beeps. The alarm can be set maximum 12 hours before
desired time. When the alarm goes off, it continues for 20 seconds and
repeats every 2 minutes until P2 is pressed.
Reference Time
1. Reference time functions parallel to the current time, which is indicated
with the main hour and minute hand.
2. Reference time is indicated by the alarm chronograph, thus the alarm time
refers to the reference time.
3. If the reference time is different from the current time, then the alarm
signal will emit at a different time then the current time.
Setting reference time:
1. Pull the crown to position 3.
2. Press and hold push-button B until the small minute hand jumps a minute.
3. To advance by the minute, press push-button B once.
4. To advance by the hour, press and hold push-button B for 1-2 seconds.
5. To advance continuously, press and hold push-button B.
6. Return the crown to position 1 after changes are made.
Remark:
After returning the crown to position 1, the alarm chronograph automatically
returns to the set alarm time.
To set the time to the correct second, the crown must be pulled out to
position 3 at “60” and pushed back to position 1 at the exact second.

2. Reset to zero by pressing push-button B.
Measuring Split Times:
1. Press push-button A to start chronograph.
2. After one full rotation of the seconds, the minute counter will automatically
advance one step.
3. Press push-button B to split the time and push again to release.
This step can be repeated numerous times.
4. Press push-button A to stop the chronograph.
5. Press push-button B to reset.
Remark:
The chronograph can only be reset only when the chronograph has been
stopped.

Adjust hands to their zero position:
1. If one or more chronograph hands are at their proper zero position, a
battery change may be necessary.
2. Pull the crown to position 3 and press the push-buttons A and B
simultaneously and hold for 2 seconds.

1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
2. Turn the crown clockwise to set the hour, minute an 24-hour hands
to the desired time.
3. Push the crown back to position 1.
Set the Second Time Zone
:
1. Set the crown at position 1.
2. Press B step-by-step to advance the hour hand of the second
time zoneuntil the desired time is set..
3. Stop pressing the button after finished the setting.
!! Attention !!:
When using push button B to set the second time
zone hour, the centre minute hand must be set to
between 55th
minute and 05th minute at any hour.

Set the Date:
1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
2. Turn the crown clockwise. Continue to turn the crown until
the desired date is set.
3. Push the crown back to position 1.
Quick correction of Date:
1. Set the crown at position 1.
2. Press A step-by-step to advance the date until the desired date is set..
!! Attention !!: The date advances at 00:00 midnight, not 12:00 noon.
Set the day
:
1. Pull the crown out to position 2.
2. Turn the crown clockwise to advance the day hand until the desired day
is set. The day hand will advance one day when 04:30 in the morning is
reached.
3. Push the crown back to position 1.
Quick correction of Day:
1. Set the crown at position 1.
2. Press C twice to advance the day hand by one step, until the desired
day is set.
!! Attention !!:
Do not use Quick Correction to set the Day between
22:00 at night and 06:00 in the morning.

Setting the time
1. * Pull out the crown to position III (the watch stops).
2. Turn the crown until you reach the correct Time 8:45.
3. * Push the crown back into position I.
Please note:
* In order to set the time to the exact second,
must be pulled out when the second hand is in position «60».
Once the hour and minute hands have been set,
must be pushed back into position I at the exact second.

Setting the date (quick mode)
1. Pull out the crown to position II ( the watch continues to run ).
2. Turn the crown anticlockwise until the correct date appears.
3. Push the crown back into position I.

Please note:
During the date changing phase between approx. 09:45 PM and
12 PM; the date must be set to the date of the following day.
Setting the date, day of the week and time
Example:
– Date / time on the watch: / 01:25 / MON
– Present date / time: / 20:35 / THU
1. Pull out the crown to position III ( the watch stops ).
2. Turn the crown anticlockwise until yesterday’s day of the week WED
appears.
3. Push the crown to position II.
4. Turn the crown until yesterday’s date appears .
5. * Pull out the crown to position III ( the watch stops ).
6. Turn the crown anticlockwise until the correct date and day of the
week THU appears.
7. ** Continue to turn the crown anticlockwise until the correct
time 8:35 PM appears.

Chronograph: Basic function
(Start / Stop / Reset)
Example:
1. Start: Press push-button A.
2. Stop: To stop the timing, press push-button A once more
and read the chronograph counters: 20 min / 38 sec
3. Zero positioning:
Press push-button B.
( The chronograph hands will be reset to their zero positions.)
Chronograph:
Accumulated timing
Example:
1. Start: ( start timing )
2. Stop: ( e.g.15 min 5 sec following )
3. Restart: ( timing is resumed )
4. * Stop: ( e.g. 5 min 12 sec following )
= 20 min 17 sec
( The accumulated measured time is shown )
5. Reset:
The chronograph hands are returned to their zero positions.
Please note:
* Following , the accumulation of the timing can be continued
by pressing push-button A (Restart / Stop, Restart / Stop, …).
Chronograph:
Intermediate or interval timing
Example:
1. Start: ( start timing )
2. Display interval:
e.g. 20 minutes 17 seconds ( timing continues in the background )
3. Making up the measured time:
( the chronograph hands are quickly advanced to the ongoing
measured time ).
4. Stop: ( Final time is displayed.)
5. Reset:
The chronograph hands are returned to their zero position.
Please note:
* Following , further intervals or inter-mediates can be
displayed by pressing push-button B (display interval /
make up measured time, ...).

Adjusting the chronograph hands to zero position
Example:
One or several chronograph hands are not in their correct zero positions
and have to be adjusted (e.g. following a battery change).
1. Pull out the crown to position III (all chronograph hands are in their
correct or incorrect zero position.)
2. Keep push-buttons A and B depressed simultaneously for at least 2
seconds ( the second counter hand rotates by 360° corrective mode
is activated. )

Le réglage de la date peut être effectué pendant la phase
de saut entre 22.00 et 24.00 heures. Dans ce cas, il faut
adapter la date du jour suivant car il n’y a pas de saut à
minuit.
– Tirer la couronne en position II
( la montre continue de fonctionner ).
– Tourner la couronne dans le sens des aiguilles d’une
montre jusqu’à ce que la date actuelle s’affiche.
– Repousser la couronne en position I.
Pos. III Réglage de l’heure ( les deux fuseaux horaires ensemble )

Tirer la couronne en position III ( la montre s’arrête ).

Tourner la couronne jusqu’à ce que l’heure actuelle
s’affche ( respecter le rythme horaire de 24 heures ).

Repousser la couronne en position I.

Pendent le réglage de l’heure du 2ème fuseaux horaire,
la couronne A doit être en position I.
– Tirer la couronne en position II.

– Repousser la couronne en position I.

La Date - L’extrême accélération dans la correction rapide de la date peut fausser
l’indication de la date. Par réglage de la date de 01 jusqu’à 31 (couronne
en position II), la synchronisation est rétablie.
- Arrêt de la montre. Mode d’économie d’énergie (env. 70%).
