heat resistant, color proof surfaces while hot and in use.
Unplug when not in use.
1. Plug the appliance into the correct power supply.
2. Turn the power switch ON.
3. The red indicator light is lit when the Iron is in the heating mode.
4. Turn the power switch OFF and unplug after using the appliance.

Should service be required, or the appliance become faulty,

For warranteed repairs ($5 handling charge) and out of
warrantee repairs (chargeable), please contact Generic

LIMITED WARRANTY
Generic Value Products®(“we”, “us” or “our”) warrants product against defects in materials
and workmanship for one (1) year from original purchase date (“Warranty Period”). If you
cannot prove original purchase date, Warranty Period runs one (1) year from date of product
manufacture. If we receive a valid claim, we will repair or replace with product of equal or
greater value at our option.
This Warranty Does Not Cover normal wear and tear such as shorts in the power supply cord
or plug, or excessive product build-up on the plates or scratched or damaged plates or
damage due to accident, misuse or abuse such as: dropping (broken housing, broken
hinges, loose plates, rattling noise, etc.), wrong voltage supply, or neglect in safety
precautions; or tampering such as repair or attempted repair by unauthorized person, or use
of unauthorized attachments.
What to Do if You have a Claim: If product fails to operate properly under normal use because
of a covered defect: (1) within 60 days from purchase, simply return to place of purchase with
valid, dated receipt for a no charge replacement, or (2) after 60 days and within the Warranty
Period, send back to us for repair or replacement (you pay postage and handling charge).
You must properly package product against possible damage. We are not responsible for
products lost or damaged in transit. IMPORTANT: When sending product back, include a
check or money order payable to us for $5.00 handling charge. Do not send cash. Be sure to
enclose a note describing problem, and proof of original purchase date.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND THE

CAUTION: This iron reaches a very hot
temperature of 410° F but has an adjustable
temperature range from 140° to 410° F. If hair is
soft and fine, temperature used should not
exceed 370° F. Even very coarse and resistant
hair should only be exposed to temperatures
exceeding 370° F very sparingly. Begin at
lowest temperature setting and increase heat
only as needed for your hair type and style.
The GVP®Generic Value Products®1” Straightening Iron
is turned on and off by flipping the concealed switch inside
the handle. The red indicator light is lit when the Iron is in
the heating mode. Always turn off the GVP®1” Ceramic
Straightening Iron when not in use.
The ceramic plates should be kept clean of product
build-up. Use a clean, soft cloth dampened with water.
Do not use flammable solvents or chemicals. Be sure
that the Iron is turned off, unplugged and cool to the
touch before cleaning. Do not use any abrasive
cleansers or materials on the ceramic plates as this will
scratch and damage the heating surface and void the
warranty.
To allow for comfort of use, the external surface and handle
material is heat resistant. This heat resistant material is also
very durable to help minimize breakage or cracking under
normal use.

USER MAINTENANCE FEATURES IMPORTANT
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication
is needed. Keep heated surfaces clean and free of dust, dirt
and hair spray. If cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect
the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior
with a cloth dampened with water.
If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the appliance,
allow it to cool, and contact your service representative.
No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.
When not in use, unplug the appliance.

What to Do if You have a Claim: If product fails to operate properly under normal use because
of a covered defect: (1) within 60 days from purchase, simply return to place of purchase with

You must properly package product against possible damage. We are not responsible for

CAUTION: This iron reaches a very hot
temperature of 410° F but has an adjustable
temperature range from 140° to 410° F. If hair is
soft and fine, temperature used should not
exceed 370° F. Even very coarse and resistant
hair should only be exposed to temperatures
exceeding 370° F very sparingly. Begin at
lowest temperature setting and increase heat
only as needed for your hair type and style.
The GVP®Generic Value Products®1” Straightening Iron
is turned on and off by flipping the concealed switch inside
the handle. The red indicator light is lit when the Iron is in
the heating mode. Always turn off the GVP®1” Ceramic
Straightening Iron when not in use.
The ceramic plates should be kept clean of product
build-up. Use a clean, soft cloth dampened with water.
Do not use flammable solvents or chemicals. Be sure
that the Iron is turned off, unplugged and cool to the
touch before cleaning. Do not use any abrasive
cleansers or materials on the ceramic plates as this will
scratch and damage the heating surface and void the
warranty.
To allow for comfort of use, the external surface and handle
material is heat resistant. This heat resistant material is also

CAUTION: This iron reaches a very hot
temperature of 410° F but has an adjustable
temperature range from 140° to 410° F. If hair is
soft and fine, temperature used should not
exceed 370° F. Even very coarse and resistant
hair should only be exposed to temperatures
exceeding 370° F very sparingly. Begin at
lowest temperature setting and increase heat
only as needed for your hair type and style.
The GVP®Generic Value Products®1” Straightening Iron
is turned on and off by flipping the concealed switch inside
the handle. The red indicator light is lit when the Iron is in
the heating mode. Always turn off the GVP®1” Ceramic
Straightening Iron when not in use.
The ceramic plates should be kept clean of product
build-up. Use a clean, soft cloth dampened with water.
Do not use flammable solvents or chemicals. Be sure
that the Iron is turned off, unplugged and cool to the
touch before cleaning. Do not use any abrasive
cleansers or materials on the ceramic plates as this will
scratch and damage the heating surface and void the
warranty.
To allow for comfort of use, the external surface and handle
material is heat resistant. This heat resistant material is also
very durable to help minimize breakage or cracking under
normal use.

Les plaques de céramique doivent être propres et exemptes

MISE EN GARDE : ce fer atteint une température très élevée
de 210 °C (410 °F). Il dispose toutefois d’une plage de
température réglable allant de 60 à 210 °C (140 à 410 °F). Si
les cheveux sont doux et fins, la température utilisée ne doit
pas excéder 187 °C (370 °F). Même les cheveux très épais et
résistants ne doivent être exposés à des températures
supérieures à 187 °C (370 °F) que très modérément.
Commencez au réglage le plus faible et augmentez la chaleur
au besoin uniquement en fonction du type de cheveux et du
style à donner.
On allume et éteint le fer défrisant de 1 po de Generic Value
Products®GVP®en basculant l’interrupteur dissimulé à l’intérieur
de la poignée. Le témoin indicateur rouge s’allume lorsque le fer
est en mode chauffage. Éteignez toujours le fer défrisant en
céramique de 1 po GVP®lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.
Les plaques de céramique doivent être propres et exemptes
d’accumulation de produits. Utilisez un linge propre et doux
légèrement humide. N’utilisez pas de solvants ou produits
chimiques inflammables. Assurez-vous que le fer est éteint,
débranché et refroidi avant de le nettoyer. N’utilisez pas de
nettoyants ou de matériaux abrasifs sur les plaques de
céramique, car cela risquerait de les égratigner et

Les matériaux de la surface externe et de la poignée sont
résistants à la chaleur, offrant ainsi plus de confort lors de
l’utilisation. Ces matériaux résistants à la chaleur sont également
très durables, ce qui minimise les bris et les fendillements dans

MISE EN GARDE : ce fer atteint une température très élevée
de 210 °C (410 °F). Il dispose toutefois d’une plage de
température réglable allant de 60 à 210 °C (140 à 410 °F). Si
les cheveux sont doux et fins, la température utilisée ne doit
pas excéder 187 °C (370 °F). Même les cheveux très épais et
résistants ne doivent être exposés à des températures
supérieures à 187 °C (370 °F) que très modérément.
Commencez au réglage le plus faible et augmentez la chaleur
au besoin uniquement en fonction du type de cheveux et du
style à donner.
On allume et éteint le fer défrisant de 1 po de Generic Value
Products®GVP®en basculant l’interrupteur dissimulé à l’intérieur
de la poignée. Le témoin indicateur rouge s’allume lorsque le fer
est en mode chauffage. Éteignez toujours le fer défrisant en
céramique de 1 po GVP®lorsqu’il n’est pas utilisé.
Les plaques de céramique doivent être propres et exemptes
d’accumulation de produits. Utilisez un linge propre et doux
légèrement humide. N’utilisez pas de solvants ou produits
chimiques inflammables. Assurez-vous que le fer est éteint,
débranché et refroidi avant de le nettoyer. N’utilisez pas de
nettoyants ou de matériaux abrasifs sur les plaques de
céramique, car cela risquerait de les égratigner et
d’endommager la surface chauffante, ce qui annulerait la
garantie.
Les matériaux de la surface externe et de la poignée sont
résistants à la chaleur, offrant ainsi plus de confort lors de
l’utilisation. Ces matériaux résistants à la chaleur sont également
très durables, ce qui minimise les bris et les fendillements dans

PRECAUCIÓN: Esta plancha alcanza temperaturas muy altas

PRECAUCIÓN: Esta plancha alcanza temperaturas muy altas
de hasta 410 °F, pero tiene un rango de ajuste de temperatura
ajustable de entre 140 a 410 °F. Si el cabello es suave y fino,
la temperatura no debe exceder los 370 °F. Incluso el cabello
muy grueso y resistente no debe exponerse a temperaturas
que excedan los 370 °F (200 °C). Comience en el ajuste de la

1” cuando no la esté utilizando.
Las placas de cerámica deberán estar limpias de productos
para el cabello. Use un trapo limpio y suave mojado con
agua. No use solventes ni productos químicos inflamables.
Asegúrese de que la plancha esté apagada, desconectada y
fría al tacto antes de limpiarla. No use limpiadores ni materia-
les abrasivos en las placas de cerámica pues eso puede
rayar y dañar la superficie de calentamiento y anular la
garantía.
Para ofrecer un uso cómodo, la superficie externa y el material
del mango son resistentes al calor. Este material resistente al
calor también es muy durable, lo cual permite minimizar las

GARANTÍA LIMITADA
Si requiere servicio o si el aparato presenta fallas, comuníquese con el Centro de
Servicio al Cliente de Generic Value Products®. Para reparaciones cubiertas por la
garantías (US$ 5 en concepto de gastos administrativos) y reparaciones fuera de la
garantía, favor de comunicarse con Generic Value Products®al 1-402-537-9276.
GARANTÍA LIMITADA
Generic Value Products®(“nosotros”o “nuestro[a]/s”) garantiza el producto contra todo defecto de materiales y
mano de obra durante un (1) año a partir de la fecha de compra original (“Período de garantía”). Si usted no
proporciona la fecha de compra original, el Período de garantía será de un (1) año a partir de la fecha de
fabricación del producto. Si recibimos una reclamación válida, repararemos o cambiaremos el producto por uno
de igual o mayor valor, a nuestra opción.
Esta garantía no cubre el desgaste normal, por ejemplo cortos en el cable de alimentación eléctrica o en el
enchufe, acumulación excesiva de productos en las placas, raspaduras o daños en las placas, daños causados
por un accidente, mal uso o abuso, tales como: dejar caer el producto (carcasa o bisagras rotas, placas flojas o
ruidos percutores, etc.), usar el voltaje equivocado, no seguir las precauciones de seguridad o manipular el
producto en forma indebida como, por ejemplo, la reparación o intento de reparación del producto por parte de
una persona no autorizada o el uso de accesorios no autorizados.
Qué hacer si tiene un reclamo: Si el aparato no funcionara correctamente, en condiciones normales de uso,
debido a algún defecto cubierto: (1) dentro de los 60 días de su compra, simplemente devuélvalo al lugar donde
lo compró, junto con el recibo válido con la fecha de compra, para que se lo cambien sin costo alguno o (2)
después de 60 días y dentro del Período de garantía, envíenos el aparato para que lo reparemos o se lo
cambiemos (usted tendrá que pagar el franqueo postal y los gastos administrativos). Tiene que empacar
adecuadamente el producto para protegerlo contra todo posible daño. No seremos responsables por ningún
producto extraviado o dañado en tránsito. IMPORTANTE: Al enviar el producto, incluya un cheque o giro postal
pagadero a nosotros por US$ 5.00 en concepto de gastos administrativos. No envíe dinero en efectivo.

Su aparato no requiere ningún mantenimiento. No necesita
lubricación. Mantenga las superficies de calentamiento limpias y
libres de polvo, suciedad y fijador para el cabello. Si necesita
limpiarlo, desconecte el aparato de la fuente de energía y limpie el
exterior con un trapo mojado con agua.
Si ocurren condiciones anormales, desconecte el aparato, permita
que se enfríe y póngase en contacto con su representante de

Cuando no esté en uso, desconecte el aparato.
Permita que el aparato se enfríe y almacénelo fuera del alcance de
los niños en un lugar seguro y seco. Nunca enrolle el cable
alrededor del aparato porque esto provocará que el cable se
desgaste prematuramente y se rompa. Maneje el cable con cuidado
