This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device,

harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio
frequency energy. If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, it may cause harmful

If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be
determined by tuning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try and correct the

-Connect the equipment to outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is
connected.

zThank you for purchasing Bluetooth adapter (BA-110).
zThe Bluetooth adapter is a data transmitter that receives data from a glucometer and
sends the data to other devices such as a mobile phone, a gateway, etc. via Bluetooth.
zThe Bluetooth adapter can be connected to Lifescan(Johnson and Johnson)’s One
Touch Ultra and One Touch Mini/Easy and Ultra2 and Bayer’s CONTOUR

How to Use
1. [Preparation]
zInsert batteries.
Open the cell cover to place AAA 1.5V 2 EA while checking the polarity (+,-) and
then close the cover.
zConnect the cable to a glucometer
2. [Bluetooth pairing]
Bluetooth pairing is an authentication process between a Bluetooth adapter and a target
device that readings are supposed to be sent to.
There are two pairing modes for the Bluetooth adapter, BA-110.
zTo pair the Bluetooth adapter with a NEW target device.
zIf it fails, the latest pairing info is preserved. And the Bluetooth adapter can send
readings to the latest paired device.
zIf you try to pair with the latest paired device, the Bluetooth adapter considers it as
a failure. This feature may make confusion. So it is strongly recommended not to
pair with already paired device again using this pairing mode.
zThe steps are as follows:
①Disconnect the glucometer if it is connected to the Bluetooth adapter.
②Remove batteries.
③Press the button several times to discharge or wait for a few minutes.
④After batteries are inserted and the RED LED blinks twice, click the pairing button
on the back

⑤When the LED turns RED, the Bluetooth adapter is in pairing standby mode.
⑥Perform “Device search” in the target device and find a device named as
“AMC_JandJ”.
⑦Pair the target device with the Bluetooth adapter. PIN code is “1234”.
⑧If the pairing succeeds, the Green LED blinks twice(2). If fails, Red LED blinks
five(5) times.
3. [Data transfer]
zMeasure blood glucose while the adapter is being connected to a glucometer.
zThe measured data is automatically transmitted to the pre-determined device such
as a mobile phone, a gateway, etc.
zIf the data transmission succeeds, the Green LED blinks twice(2) and if fails, the
Red LED blinks five(5) times.
zIt takes more than 10 seconds for the first trial after replacing the batteries.
4. [Manual data transmission]
zPress the button of the Bluetooth adapter while a glcuometer and the adapter are
being connected. The whole readings stored in the glucometer will be
automatically downloaded and sent to the target device.
zThis feature is for troubleshooting.
5. [Automatic Wake-up Mode]
zIn the state of connection with OneTouch Easy/Mini or OneTouch Ultra II, this
adapter reads data and transfers once every 3 hours.

Cautions
zBe sure to carefully read the user’s manual before use.
zIf you want to change the glucometer with new one, disconnect the glucometer, remove
batteries, press the button several times, wait for a while, insert batteries again, and
connect the new glucometer. And try to take a reading and confirm data transmission.
The sequence is very important.
zKeep the Bluetooth adapter in a clean and dry place away from dust or corrosive gases
as well as away from fires
zDo not apply any shock or vibration to the product
zDo not rub the product with inflammable such as alcohol, benzene, or acetone the can
cause chemical change. Use a dry cloth to prevent the surface from being damaged.
zDo not stretch nor bend the cable by force.
zDisassembling the product is not advisable.
Troubleshooting
zIf you have some troubles in data transmission, please check the below
zTry to do “Manual transmission” by pressing the button while a glcuometer and the
adapter are being connected.
zReplace batteries with new ones.
zTry to do “Factory reset and pairing” and take readings.
