Safety Cautions
In the event of a refrigerant gas leak,
provide adequate ventilation to the roo .
Do not touch the fins on the heat exchanger
with bare hands:they are sharp and
dangerous.
If leaked refrigerant ga i expo ed to a heat
ource, noxiou ga e may form.
Direct expe ure to outdoor air may pre ent a
health hazard, and it may al o cau e food item
to deteriorate.
Do not try to defeat the safety features of
the devices, and do not change the settings.
Defeating the afety feature on the unit uch a
the pre ure witch and temperature witch or
u ing part other than the dealer or peciali t
may re ult in fire or explo ion.
When installing the unit in a s all roo ,
safeguard against hypoxia that results fro
leaked refrigerant reaching the threshold
level.
When relocating the air conditioner,
consult the dealer or a specialist.
Con ult the dealer for nece ary mea ure to take
Improper in tallation may re ult in water leak,
electric hock, or fire.
After co pleting the service work, check
for a refrigerant gas leak.
If leaked ga refrigerant i expo ed to a heat
ource uch a fan heater, tove, and electric grill,
noxiou ga e may form.
Only use specified parts.
Have the unit profe ionally in talled.
Improper in tallation may cau e water leak,
electric hock, moke, or fire.
Precautions for handling Units for Use with R410A
Caution!
Do not use the existing refrigerant piping
The old refrigerant and refrigerator oil in the
exi ting piping contain a large amount of
chlorine, which will cau e the refrigerator oil in
the new unit to deteriorate.
R410A i a high-pre ure refrigerant,and the u e
of the exi ting piping may re ult in bur ting.
Keep the inner and outer surfaces of the
pipes clean and free of conta inants such
as sulfur, oxides, dust/dirt shaving particles,
oils,and oisture.
Contaminant in ide the refrigerant piping will
cau e the refrigerant oil to deteriorate.
Do not use the following tools that have
been used with the conventional
refrigerants. prepare tools that are for
exclusive use with R410A.
(Gauge anifold, charging hose, gas leak
detector,reverse-flow check valve,
refrigerant charge base,vacuu gauge,
and refrigerant recovery equip ent.)
If refrigerant and/or refrigerant oil left on the e
tool are mixed in with R410, or if water i
mixed with R410A, it will cau e the refrigerant
to deteriorate.
Since R410A doe not contain chlorine, ga -leak
detector for conventional refrigerator will not
work.
With All-Fresh type air cinditioners, outdoor
air ay be directly blown into the roo
upon ther o off. Take this into consideration
when installing the unit.
Use a vacuu pu p with a reverse-flow-
check valve.
If other type of valve are u ed, the vacuum
pump oil will flow back into the refrigerant cycle
and cau e the refrigerator oil to deteriorate.
