LOCATIONREQUIREMENTS
Toensureproperventilationforyouricemachine,thefrontoftheunitmust
becompletelyunobstructed.
Wheninstallingtheicemachineunderacounter,followtherecommended
spacingdimensionsshowninthe“InstallationClearances”section.Allow
atleast3-7/8”(9.8cm)clearanceatrear,and3/8”(1.0cm)attopand3/16”
(0.5cm)atsidesforproperaircirculation.
Theinstallationshouldallowtheicemachinetobepulledforwardfor
servicing,ifnecessary.
Chooseawellventilatedareawithnormaloperatingtemperaturesabove
50°F(10°C)andbelow100°F(38°C).Normaloperatingwatertemperature
shouldbebetween41°F(5°C)and90°F(32°C).Operationoftheicemachine
forextendedperiodsoutsideofthesenormaltemperaturerangesmay
affectproductioncapacity.
Theicemachineshouldnotbelocatednexttoovens,grillsorotherhigh
heatsources.
TheicemachineMUSTbeinstalledinanareaprotectedfromtheelements,
suchaswind,rain,watersprayordrips.
Theicemachineshouldbelocatedonafirmandlevelsurface.Itis
importantfortheicemachinetobeleveledinordertoworkproperly.If
needed,youcanadjusttheheightoftheicemachinebyturningthefeet.

Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third (ground)
prong from the power cord. For personal safety, this appliance must
be properly grounded.
Thepowercord ofthisappliance isequippedwith a3-prong(grounding)
plugwhichmates withastandard 3-prong(grounding)wall outletto
minimizethepossibility ofelectricshock hazardfromthis appliance.
Havethewall outletandcircuit checkedbya qualifiedelectricianto make
suretheoutlet isproperlygrounded.
Whereastandard 2-prongwalloutlet isencountered,it isyourpersonal
responsibilityandobligation tohaveit replacedwitha properlygrounded
3-prongwalloutlet.
Theicemachine shouldalwaysbe pluggedintoits ownindividual
electricaloutletwhich hasavoltage ratingthatmatches theratingplate.
A115Volt AC,60Hz, 15-or20-amp fused,groundedelectrical supply
isrequired.This providesthebest performanceandalso prevents
overloadinghousewiring circuitswhichcould causeafire hazardfrom
overheatedwires.
Neverunplugyour icemachineby pullingonthe powercord.Always grip
plugfirmlyand pullstraightout fromtheoutlet.
Immediatelydiscontinueuse ofadamaged supplycord.If thesupply
cordisdamaged, itmustbe replacedbya qualifiedserviceprofessional
withanauthorized servicepartfrom themanufacturer.
Whenmovingthe icemachineaway fromthewall, be carefulnotto roll
overordamage thepowercord.

UNPACKING
1. Removepackagingmaterials.
IMPORTANT:Donotremoveanypermanentinstructionlabelsorthedata
labelonyouricemachine.
2. Removetapeandgluefromyouricemachinebeforeusing.
•Toremoveanyremainingtapeorglue,rubtheareabrisklywithyour
thumb.Tapeorglueresiduecanalsobeeasilyremovedbyrubbinga
smallamountofliquiddishsoapovertheadhesivewithyourfingers.
Wipewithwarmwateranddry.
•Donotusesharpinstruments,rubbingalcohol,flammablefluids,or
abrasivecleanerstoremovetapeorglue.Theseproductscandamage
thesurfaceofyouricemachine.
3. Afteryouremoveallofthepackagingmaterials,cleantheinsideofyour
icemachinebeforeusingit.See“Cleaning.”
4. Properlydisposeof/recycleallpackingmaterial.

1.Usingaflatheadscrewdriver,removethecoversfromthescrewholeson
thesideoppositethedoorhinges,topandbottom.Setaside.
2.ReplacethehingepinonHinge1andtightenitfirmly.
3.RemovethescrewsfasteningHinge1tothe
cabinetandreinstallitontheoppositesideof
thecabinetatthebottom.
4.RemovethescrewsfasteningHinge2tothe
cabinetandreinstallitontheoppositesideof
thecabinetatthetop.
5.Usingaflatheadscrewdriver,removethehinge
pinfromHinge2,andsetitaside.
6.Rotatethedoorsothatthehandleisopposite
thehingesideandsetthedoorontothe

7.Completelytightenthebottomhinge.

CONNECTTHEWATERLINE
1.Turnoffthemainwatersupply.Turnonthenearestfaucetlongenoughto
clearlineofwater.
2.Finda½”to¾”verticalcoldwaterpipeneartheinstallationlocation.The
watersupplyhoseisprovidedwiththeicemachine.
3.Ashut-offvalvemustbeinstalledtothemainwatersupply.Ifthewater
pipehasaplainpieceofcoppertubing,attacha¼”outsidediameter
(O.D.)compressionuniontothetubingandremovethenut.
4.Connectthenutfromthewatersupplyhosetothetap,andconnectthe
otherendtothewaterinlet.Tightenfirmlybyhand,andthenusinga
wrenchtightenanadditionalhalfturn.
5.Turnonmainwatersupplyandtap.
6.Checkforwatersupplyconnectionleaks.Tighteneveryconnection
(includingconnectionatthewaterinlet).
IMPORTANT: Whenyouconnectthewatersupplyhoseandthedrainhose,
notethe“Waterinlet”and“Drainoutlet”markedontheicemachine.
CONNECTTHEDRAIN
Youmustconnectthedrainlinebeforeusingtheicemachine.
NOTE:Ifthereisadrainlineneartheicemachine,thebestchoiceistodrain
watertothedrainlinethroughthedrainwaterhoseprovidedwiththeice
machine.
1. Locatethefloordrainneartheicemachine.Thedistanceshouldbeless
than5feetsincethelengthofthelongdrainwaterhoseprovidedwith
theicemachineisabout5feet.
2. Findthedrainoutletonthebackoficemachine.Connectthedrainhose
totheicemachinedrainoutlet,tightendrainhoseclamp,andinsertthe
otherendofthehoseintothedrainline.

•Allhorizontalrunsofdrainlinesmusthaveafallof¼”perfoot.An
airgapwilllikelyberequiredbetweentheicemachinedrainhoseand
thedrain/wastereceptacle.Astandpipewithatrapbelowitwouldbe
acceptableforthedrain/wastereceptacle.
•Ifafloororothergravitydrainbelowtheleveloftheicemachinedrain
outletisnotavailable,theuseofanaftermarketsealedicemachine
drainpumpkitwillberequired.
NOTES:
•Connectdrainpumptoyourplumbingdraininaccordancewithall
stateandlocalcodesandordinances.
•Drainpumpmustbeasealeddesigntopreventwateroverflow
duringpoweroutages.
•Minimumratedpumpingrateofdrainpumpshouldbe0.5gal./
minute(1.9L/minute).
•Followallinstallationinstructions,providedwiththedrainpumpkit.
•Drainpumpshouldbelocatedonasurfacethatisatthesamelevel
asthesurfaceunderneaththeicemachine.Thetopofthedrain
pumpreservoirmustbenohigherthantheflooroftheicemachine
storagebin.
•Donotallowthehosefromtheicemachinetothedrainpumpto
hangorloophigherthantheflooroftheicestoragebin.
•Theendofthedrainpumpventhoseshouldbewithin8”(20cm)of
thetopoftheicemachine.
•Plumbingdrainshouldbenomorethan10ft(3m)abovetheoutlet
ofthedrainpump.
•Donotconnecttheoutlethoseofthedrainpumptoaclosedpipe
systemtokeepdrainwaterfrombackingupintotheicemachine.
3.Pour1gallonofwaterintotheicestoragebintocheckforleaksinthe
drainagesystem.Tightenanyconnectionsthatleak.

underthecountertop),orBuilt-in(sealedtothefloor).Inanycase,there
mustbeadequateairspacearoundtheunitforventilation.See“Installation
Clearances”inthe“LocationRequirements”section.
FREE-STANDINGINSTALLATION
Thisicemachinemaybeinstalledinanylocationprovidedthereisaccess
toanelectricalsupply,watersupplyanddrain.Youmustfollowthestated
instructionsforElectricalRequirements,Watersupplyandproperdrainage,
andLevelingtheicemachine.
ENCLOSEDINSTALLATION
Anenclosedinstallationwillallowyoutoinstalltheicemachineundera
countertoporinakitchencabinetprovidedtherequiredclearancespace
aroundtheicemachineisrespected.See“LocationRequirements.”This
installationhasthesamerequirementsasafree-standinginstallation.

BUILT-ININSTALLATION
Ifthismethodofinstallationischosen,itwillstillbenecessarytoallow
adequateventilationspacearoundtheicemachine.
1.Placeicemachineinfrontofinstallationlocation.Placetheicemachine
flatonthefloororonaplatformdependingonyourinstallation
requirements.
2.Thewatersupplylinemustbeplumbedbeforeconnectingtotheice
machine.
3.Turnonmainwatersupplyandtap.
4.Checkforwatersupplyconnectionleaks.Tighteneveryconnection
(includingconnectionatthewaterinlet).
5.Suitabledrainlinemustbeconnectedforthisinstallation.
6.Iftheelectricaloutletfortheicemachineiswithinthecabinetopening,
plugintheicemachine.
7.Pushtheicemachineintoposition.
IMPORTANT: Besuretocheckthatwatersupplyanddrainhosescannot
getpinchedorkinkedordamagedbeforeicemachinemovesintoitsfinal
position.
LEVELINGTHEICEMACHINE
Therollingcastersonthebottomoftheicemachineallowittobemoved
easilytocleanandsanitizethefloorunderneath.
Theicemachinemustbeleveltoworkproperly.Iftheicemachineisnot
levelthewaterwillnotflowproperlythroughtheevaporator(icemold).The
iceproductionwillbelessthannormal,andmaybenoisy.
Theicemachinecanberaisedorloweredbyrotatingtheplasticfeetaround
eachofthefourrollingcastersonthebottomoftheicemachine.
Ifyoufindthatthesurfaceisnotlevel,rotatethefeetuntiltheicemachine
becomeslevel.Youmayneedtomakeseveraladjustmentstolevelit.
Placeacarpenter’slevelontopoftheicemachinetoseeiftheicemachine
islevelfromfronttobackandsidetoside.
Adjusttheheightofthecastersasfollows:
ToLower-Turnthelevelingfeettotheright.
ToRaise-Turnthelevelingfeettotheleft.
IMPORTANT: Whentheicemachineisreadytobeinstalledinacabinetor
directlyonthefloor,youmustlockthecastersafterleveling.Iftheflooris
level,justturnthetwofrontfeettotouchthefloor.

OPERATION
1.Theoperatingprocedureiscompletelyautomatic.
2.Whentheicestoragebinisfulloficecubes,themachinestopsmakingice
automatically.Itstartsmakingiceagainaftericecubesareremoved.
3.ThedifferentcolorsoftheLEDdisplayindicatevariousworkmodes.
4.Asensitiveprobeandaccuratetimerenhancetheperformanceoftheice
machine.
5.Acompressorprotectionsystemisbuiltin.
HOWTHEICEMACHINEUSESTHEWATER
Theicemachinebeginswithafixedchargeofwaterthatiscontainedinthe
watertrough.Asthewaterflowstothefreezingevaporatorsurface,the
portionofwaterthatdoesnotcontainmineralimpuritiesfreezesandsticks
totheicecubemolds.Thewatercontainingimpuritiesfallsbackintothe
watertrough.Duringtheicemakingprocess,freshwaterentersintothe
watertroughcontinuouslyasthewaterinthetroughfreezescontinuously
intheevaporator.

1.Turnonthewatertap,letthewatertroughfill.
2.PresstheON/OFFbuttononthecontrolpanel.Theicemachinewillstart
workingautomatically.
3.After3minutes,themachinewillautomaticallygototheice-making
stage,andthesoundofwaterflowingwillbeheard.
4.Whenthebatchoficehasbeenfullyformed,icewillautomaticallybe
harvestedtotheicestoragebin.
5.Whentheicestoragebinisfull,thesheetofcubeswillnotfallcompletely
andwillholdthebin-fullprobeopen.Themachinestopsmakingice
automatically.
6.Theunitwillstartmakingiceagainaftertheicecubesareremoved.Then
thebin-fullprobeswingsbacktooperatingposition.
IMPORTANT:
•Althoughtheicemachinehasbeentestedandcleanedatthefactory,
duetolongtermtransitandstorage,discardthefirstfewbatchesofice
produced.
•Donotturnthewatersupplytapoffwhentheicemachineisworking.
•Donottouchevaporatorwhenunitisrunning!
•Excepttotakeicefromtheunit,keepthedoorclosedtoreducemelting
andinsurepropericeformation.
ICEMAKINGCYCLES
Therearetwodistinctcycles:IceFreezeandHarvest.Thefreezecycle
happenswhenwaterflowstotheevaporatorsurface.Theharvestcycleis
whentheiceisreleasedandwaterentersthemachine.Acompletecycle
takesabout20minutes,butitdependsontemperatureandoperating
conditions.

Duringthefreezecyclethecompressorispumpingrefrigerant,thefan
