4. Information and notes before getting started
Note –Optimal reception
Please note:
•Extend the antenna always completely.
•Forbest reception it´s recommended to extend the
antenna vertical.
•Tryvarious different positions if necessary to get the
best reception.
5. Getting started
5.1 Battery operation
•Open the battery compartment cover.Itislocated on the
rear of the radio.
•Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction
indicated.
•Insert the batteries paying attention to the match the
polarities correctly.The correct polarity is indicated by the
plus and minus symbols in the battery compartment.
•Replace the battery compartment cover.
5.2 Mains operation
Connect the network cable to aproperly installed and easily
accessible network socket.
The power supply unit is suitable for mains voltages
between 100 and 240 V, and is thus operable on almost
any AC power grid. Please note that acountry-specic
adapter may be necessary.

Note
•Only connect the product to asocket that has been
approved for the device.
•The electrical socket must always be easily accessible.
•When using amult-socket power strip, make sure
that the sum power draw of all the connected devices

5.3 General notes on use
Notes on use
•When aselection among menu items is to be made
(such as Yor N), the one currently selected ashes.
•In menus offering avariety of different options (such
as DRC, language and so on), the currently selected
option is marked with *.
Navigation and controls
[VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9) has two different
functions:
•Turn [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9) to select among
menu items.
•Conrm the selection by pressing [VOLUME/SELECT/
NAVIGATE] (9).
Press [Back] (8) to return to the previous menu level.
Volume adjustment
Turn [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9) to increase/reduce
the volume.

5.4 Initial setup
The station search in the operating mode DABstarts up
automatically when the radio is turned on for the rst time.
By default, the radio starts with the English menu
navigation. Set up your desired language as described in
5.5. Language.
5.5 Language
To change the menu language from that selected at rst-
time startup, proceed as follows:
•Press [Settings] (3) to access the settings menu.
•Turn [Volume/Select/Navigate] (9) to navigate to the
‘Language’ menu item.
•Conrm your selection by pressing [Volume/Select/
Navigate] (9).
•Turn [Volume/Select/Navigate] (9) to select your desired
system language.
•Conrm the selection by pressing [Volume/Select/
Navigate] (9).
6. Care and Maintenance
•Only clean this product with aslightly damp, lint-free
cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
•If you do not use the product for along time, turn off the
device and disconnect it from the power supply.Storeitin
aclean, dry place out of direct sunlight.

Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages

4. Informationen und Hinweise vor Inbetriebnahme
Hinweis –Empfang optimieren
Beachten Sie:
•Ziehen Sie die Antenne immer vollständig aus.
•Für einen optimalen Empfang empfehlen wir die
Antenne vertikal auszurichten.
•Gegebenenfalls sollten Sie verschiedene Standorte
testen, um den bestmöglichen Empfang zu erreichen.
5. Inbetriebnahme
5.1 Batteriebetrieb
•Öffnen Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung, welche sich auf
der Rückseite des Radios bendet.
•Schieben Sie dazu die Batteriefachabdeckung in die
gekennzeichnete Richtung.
•Legen Sie die Batterien polrichtig ein. Die richtige
Polarität wirdimBatteriefach durch die Kennzeichnung
des Plus- und Minuspols dargestellt.
•Schließen Sie die Batteriefachabdeckung anschließend.
5.2 Netzbetrieb
Verbinden Sie das Netzkabel mit einer ordnungsgemäß
installierten und leicht zugänglichen Netzsteckdose.
Das Netzteil ist für eine Netzspannung von 100-240 V
geeignet und daher in nahezu allen Stromnetzen auf
Wechselstrom-Basis einsetzbar.Beachten Sie, dass hierzu
ein länderspezischer Adapter notwendig sein kann.

Bedienungshinweise
•Betreiben Sie das Produkt an einer dafür zugelassenen
Steckdose.
•Achten Sie bei Mehrfachsteckdosen darauf,dass
die angeschlossenen Verbraucher die zulässige
Gesamtleistungsaufnahme nicht überschreiten.
•Die Netzsteckdose muss jederzeit leicht erreichbar
sein.
•Trennen Sie das Produkt vom Netz, wenn Sie es
längereZeit nicht benutzen.
5.3 Allgemeine Hinweise zur Bedienung
Bedienungshinweise
•In einer Auswahl von verschiedenen Schaltächen

Navigation und Steuerung
[VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9) hat eine duale
Funktionsbelegung:
•Durch Drehen von [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9) im
Menü wählen Sie einzelne Menüpunkte aus.
•Durch Drücken von [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9)
bestätigen Sie die Auswahl.
Drücken Sie [Back] (8), um auf die vorherige Menüebene
zurückzukehren.
Lautstärke anpassen
Durch Drehen von [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9)
erhöhen/reduzieren Sie die Lautstärke.
5.4 Ersteinrichtung
Beim ersten Start wirdautomatisch der Sendersuchlauf
im Betriebsmodus DABgestartet. Standardmäßig startet
das Radio mit englischer Menüführung.
Die gewünschte Sprache können Sie wie in 5.5. Sprache
beschrieben einstellen.
5.5 Sprache
Um die vor-oder bei Erstinbetriebnahme eingestellte
Menüsprache des Radios zu ändern, gehen Sie wie folgt
vor:
•Drücken Sie [Settings] (3), um in das Einstellungsmenü zu
gelangen.
•Navigieren Sie durch Drehen von [Volume/Select/
Navigate] (9) zum Menüpunkt „Language”.
•Bestätigen Sie IhreAuswahl durch Drücken von [Volume/
Select/Navigate] (9).
•Wählen Sie durch Drehen von [Volume/Select/Navigate]
(9) Ihregewünschte Systemsprache aus.
•Bestätigen Sie diese durch Drücken von [Volume/Select/

6. Wartung und Pflege
•Reinigen Sie dieses Produkt nur mit einem fusselfreien,
leicht feuchten Tuch und verwenden Sie keine aggressiven
Reiniger.
•Sollten Sie das Produkt längereZeit nicht nutzen,
schalten Sie das Gerät aus und trennen es von der
Stromversorgung. Lagern Sie es an einem sauberen,
trockenen Ort ohne direkte Sonneneinstrahlung.

5. Mise en service
5.1 Fonctionnement sur piles
-Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment àpiles situé sur la
face arrièredelaradio.
-Faites glisser le couvercle du compartiment dans la
direction indiquée.
-Insérez les piles en respectant les indications de polarité.
La polarité conforme est indiquée par les pôles positifs et
négatifs dans le compartiment àpiles.
-Refermez le couvercle du compartiment.
5.2 Fonctionnement sur secteur
Branchez le câble secteur àune prise de courant facile
d’accès.
Le bloc secteur est adapté àune tension de 100-240 V
et peut donc êtreutilisé dans presque tous les réseaux
électriques àcourant alternatif.Veuillez toutefois noter
qu‘un adaptateur seraéventuellement nécessairedans
certains pays.

Le bouton [VOLUME/SELECT/NAVIGATE] (9) dispose d’une

5. Puesta en funcionamiento
5.1 Funcionamiento con pilas
•Abralacubierta del compartimento parapilas que se
encuentraenellado posterior de la radio.
•Para ello, deslice la tapa del compartimiento parapilas
en la dirección marcada.
•Coloque las pilas atendiendo alapolaridad correcta. La
polaridad correcta se muestraenelcompartimento para
pilas mediante la indicación del polo positivo ynegativo.
•Seguidamente, cierrelacubierta del compartimento para
pilas.
5.2 Funcionamiento con corriente
Conecte el cable de corriente con una toma de corriente
correctamente instalada yfácilmente accesible.
La fuente de alimentación es adecuada parauna tensión
de redde100-240 Vypor ello utilizable en prácticamente
todas las redes de corriente que se basen en corriente
alterna. Recuerde que paraello puederequerirse un
adaptador especíco del país.

Pulse [Back] (8) paravolver al nivel de menú previo.
Regular el volumen

reducir el volumen.
5.4 Configuración inicial

•Затем закройте отсекбатареек крышкой.
5.2 Питание от сети
Вставьте вилку кабеля питания врозетку,
установленную надлежащим образом.Доступ крозетке
должен быть свободным.
Блок питания рассчитан на напряжение 100–240 Ви
подходит для питания почти от всех сетей переменного
тока.Однакодля этого могут потребоваться
