Introduction of HUD
1.1. HUD is short term for “Head Up Display”, which means you can simply see the display screen by
looking up or straight. If the driver needs to look down to the meter display when the vehicle is moving
at high speed, the sudden reaction time for the driver will be limited and may cause serious accident.
This happened especially at night. In order to avoid such situation occur some higher level cars had
already equipped with the HUD system. The device projects all relevant information onto the front
windshield at driver’s eye level height. The projection position is adjustable and the brightness will
adjust automatically based on the ambient brightness as well. Due to which the driver needn't to look
down at the instrument board and the visual time of seeing blind spot is shortened. It is of great value to
reduce traffic accidents caused by looking down at the instrument board.

9-1-1.Turn off the car power first→Plug OBD2 →Connect the cable to the S-200 host →switch
HUD power key to (ON)→Turn on the car power.
9-1-2.Not bright→It can’t be installed on your car.(Refer about OTHERS:9-3)
9-1-3.Bright→and have power→but no RPM to display→it can’t be installed on your car.
9-1-4.Bright→and have power→show RPM and like display to launch the RPM→show voltage
→normal and ok for your car.
9-2.Check that an automatic shutdown?
(Automatic power-off, automatic activation of HUD main upon ignition; and automatic power-off
of HUD main upon shut-down of the vehicle)
9-2-1.Cut off car power→automatic power-off of HUD→normal
9-2-2.Cut off car power→no automatic power-off of HUD→go into Parameter 1→and adjust 1 to 2

(90% cars can be match with this item(2 or 3), if setting 1 can’t be power-off automatically)
9-2-3.Above steps still can’t shut down, please contact us.
9-3.Other Problems and issues on the S-200:
9-3-1.Because some top cars (as BMW or Lexus…)have electronic equipments such as keyless
which likely to interfere with the S-200 and you maybe encounter situations such as :
→Keyless device may cause the machine not to respond, and it maybe have opportunities for bright
but turn off the machine and it still will be bright →(M3 car type)→returning policy.
9-3-2.TDCI diesel cars: The voltage value will bounce , some cars can’t be match with our OBD
HUD. [Because diesel output agreement is different from OBD II public agreement]
9-3-3.Currently testing cars - the majority have their own external function devices such as touch
the door or others or keyless, there will be conflict with our OBD II HUD.
9-3-4.S The HUD is kept standby when the engine is turned off, and there is still a little bit
consumption of current (the common character of all OBD products); turn off the HUD main power
or remove it if your car is not to be used for a longer period (e.g. a week or longer).
