Before the refrigeratorisused, it must be properlypositioned and installed as
describedinthismanual,soreadthemanualcarefully.Toreducetheriskoffire,
electricalshockorinjurywhen using the refrigerator, followbasicprecautions,
including the following:
Plug into a grounded3-prong outlet, do not remove grounding prong, do not use an adapter, and do
not usean extension cord
•Replaceallpanelsbeforeoperating
•It isrecommended that aseparatecircuit, serving onlyyourrefrigerator,be provided. Usereceptacles
that cannotbe turned off bya switchorpull chain
•Neverclean appliancepartswith flammablefluids.Thesefumescan create afirehazardorexplosion.
And do not store orusegasoline orotherflammablevapors and liquidsin the vicinityofthisorany
otherappliance. The fumescan create a fire hazard orexplosion.
•Before proceeding with cleaning and maintenance operations, make sure the powerline ofthe unit is
disconnected.
•Do not connect ordisconnect the electricplug when yourhandsarewet
•Unplugtheapplianceordisconnectthepowerbeforecleaningorservicing. Failureto dosocanresult

adjustmentsto levelit.
•Allinstallation must be inaccordancewith localplumbing coderequirements.
•Make certainthat the pipesare not pinchedorkinked ordamaged during installation.
•Checkforleaksafterconnection.
•Neverallowchildren tooperate, playwith orcrawlinside the appliance
•Donotusesolvent-basedcleaningagentsorabrasiveson the interior.Thesecleaners maydamage or
discolorthe interior.

•Clean the interiorsurface with lukewarmwaterusing asoft cloth.

•Placeyourrefrigerator-freezeron afloorthatisstrong enoughto supporttherefrigerator-
freezerwhen itisfullyloaded. Tolevelyourrefrigerator-freezer, adjusttheleveling legsat the
bottomofunit.
•ALLOW5INCHESOF SPACEBETWEENTHEBACKANDSIDESOF THEUNIT,WHICH
ALLOWSTHEPROPERAIR CIRCULATIONTOCOOL THECOMPRESSORAND
CONDENSER.
•Locatetheunitawayfromdirectsunlight andsourcesofheat(stove, heater,radiator,etc.).
Directsunlight mayaffectthe acryliccoating and heat sourcesmayincreaseelectrical
consumption. Extreme coldambient temperaturesmayalso cause the refrigerator-freezernot
to performproperly.
•Avoidlocating the unitinmoist areas.
•Plugtheunitinto anexclusiveproperlyinstalled-grounded walloutlet. Do notunderany
circumstancescut orremovethethird(ground)prongfromthe powercord.Anyquestions
concerningpowerand/orgroundingshouldbedirectedtowardacertifiedelectricianoran
authorized Productsservice center.
