ØInstallation of YourAppliance
•Placeyourrefrigerator-freezeron afloorthatisstrong enoughto supporttherefrigerator-
freezerwhen itisfullyloaded. Tolevelyourrefrigerator-freezer, adjusttheleveling legsat the

•Locatetheunitawayfromdirectsunlight andsourcesofheat(stove, heater,radiator,etc.).
Directsunlight mayaffectthe acryliccoating and heat sourcesmayincreaseelectrical
consumption. Extreme coldambient temperaturesmayalso cause the refrigerator-freezernot
to performproperly.
•Avoidlocating the unitinmoist areas.
•Plugtheunitinto anexclusiveproperlyinstalled-grounded walloutlet. Do notunderany
circumstancescut orremovethethird(ground)prongfromthe powercord.Anyquestions
concerningpowerand/orgroundingshouldbedirectedtowardacertifiedelectricianoran

Electrical Connection

Thisapplianceshouldbeproperlygroundedforyoursafety.The powercordofthisapplianceis
equippedwithathree-prongplugwhichmateswithstandardthreeprongwall outletstominimizethe
possibilityofelectricalshock.
Do not underanycircumstancescut orremove the third ground prong fromthe powercord supplied.
Thisappliancerequiresa standard 115Volts~/60Hzelectricaloutlet with three-prong ground.
The cordshouldbesecuredbehind the applianceand not leftexposedordanglingtoprevent accidental
injury.
Neverunplug the appliancebypullingthe powercord. Alwaysgriptheplug firmlyand pullstraight out
fromthe receptacle.
Do notuseanextensioncordwiththisappliance. Ifthepowercordistooshort, haveaqualified
electrician orservice technician install an outlet nearthe appliance.
EXTENSION CORD
Becauseofpotentialsafetyhazardsundercertain conditions,itisstronglyrecommended that you do
not usean extension cord with thisunit. However,if you must use an extension cord itisabsolutely
necessarythat it be a UL/CUL-Listed, 3-wire grounding typeappliance extension cord having a
grounding typeplug and outlet andthat the electricalrating ofthecord be 115voltsand at least 10
amperes.
SURGEPROTECTOR
Most electricalappliancesuse a seriesofelectriccontrolboardsto operate. These boardsare very
susceptible to powersurgesand couldbe damaged ordestroyed.
Ifthe applianceisgoingtobeusedinanarea orifyourcity/countryispronetopowersurges/outages;
itissuggested thatyouuseapowersurgeprotectorforallelectricaldevices/appliancesyouuse. The
surge protectorthat you select must have a surge block high enough to protectthe applianceitis
connectedto.Ifyouhaveanyquestionsregardingthetype andsizeofsurge protectorneededcontact
a licensed electrician inyourarea.

REFRIGERATOR-HOWTO LEVEL
Forunits with leveling legs:
1. Remove the basegrille. Somemodelhave screwsholding the grille in place, removescrews.
Somemodelshaveclipsthat snapout when the grilleis pulled out.
2. Insert a flat blade screwdriverinto the slotson the leveling leg and turn clockwiseto raise the
refrigeratororcounterclockwise tolowerit.
3. The front ofthe refrigeratorshould be1/4inchhigherthan the rear. Thisshould be measured
using a level.
4. Replace the grille.

PREPROGRAMMED FUNCTIONS:
•SABBATHMODE
The Sabbathmode isdesigned forthosewhosereligiousobservancesrequireturningoffthe lights.
Allinteriorlightsandcontrolpanelindicators will be disabled.
ToenabletheSABBATHMODE,press thefunction buttonuntiltheSABBATHMODEiconis
flashing and press the OKbuttonto activate. The controlpaneland interiorlightswill turnoff and
willremain in the SABBATH MODEuntilitisdeactivated on the controlpanel
TodisabletheSABBATHMODE,press andholdthefunction buttonforapproximately3seconds
untilthecontrolpanellightsup again.And youcan alsounplug the powercordforapproximately30
secondsthen, plug inthe powercord, therefrigeratorSABBATHMODEwillbe deactivated. The
icon willturn offand alllightsand indicators willreturnto thenormaloperation.
•FASTFREEZEMODE
Thismode willsetthefreezertemperatureto-26ºF/-32ºCforquicktemperaturedrop whenstoring
large amountsofwarmorroomtemperature foodsin the freezer.
The unitwill remaininFASTFREEZEmode untilthe temperaturereaches-26ºF/-32ºCandwill
then return to the originalsetting oruntil the function isturnedoffat thecontrolpanel.
Toenablethe FASTFREEZEmode, press thefunction button until the FASTFREEZEiconis
flashing andpress theOKbutton toactivate. The iconwill remainilluminated.
TodisabletheFASTFREEZEmode, press the functionbutton until theFASTFREEZEiconis
flashing andpress theOKbutton todeactivate. The icon willturnoff.
•VACATION MODE
Usethismode whenleavingforlongperiodsoftime, whereyouwillremovethe large majorityofthe
contentfromthe refrigeratorsection but leavethefreezercontent.
The Vacation mode willautomaticallyset the refrigeratorsectionat57ºFand thefreezersection
remain at yourcurrent setting.
The unitwill remainin the VACATION MODEuntil itisdeactivatedat the controlpanel.
ToenabletheVACATIONMODE,press the functionbuttonuntilthe VACATIONMODEiconis
flashing andpress theOKbutton toactivate. The iconwill remainilluminated.
TodisabletheVACATIONMODE,press the functionbuttonuntilthe VACATIONMODEiconis
flashing andpress theOKbutton todeactivate. The icon willturnoff.
•SMART(AUTOMATIC)MODE
Use thismode to automaticallysettheunit at normalaverage operatingtemperatures.
The SMARTMODEwill automaticallyset therefrigeratorsection at 38ºFand the freezersectionat
-0ºF. The unitwillremain in theSMARTMODEuntilitisdeactivated atthecontrolpanel.
The temperaturescannot be adjustedwhen in the SMART(AUTOMATIC)MODE.
Toenablethe SMARTMODE,press the function buttonuntiltheSMARTMODEiconisflashingand
press the OKbutton to activate. The icon will remainilluminated.
TodisabletheSMARTMODE,press thefunctionbutton untiltheSMARTMODEiconisflashing
and press the OKbuttonto deactivate. The iconwillturn off.
Onceyou havedisabled the SMARTMODE, setthe temperaturemanuallyasindicated previously
in thismanualto atemperature that bettersuitsyourneeds.

•CONTROL PANEL CHILD LOCK
The CONTROLPANELLOCKisdesigned toprevent anychangestothesettingstotherefrigerator.
ToenabletheCHILD LOCK,press andholdtheOKbutton forapproximately3seconds,theCHILD
LOCKicon will turnon. Thecontrolpanelwillbelocked until unlocked at the controlpanelorthere
isa loss ofpower.
TodisabletheCHILD LOCK,press and holdtheOKbutton forapproximately3secondsuntilthe
CHILD LOCKicon turnsoffand the controlpanelisworking in normaloperationmode.
•CONTROL PANEL STANDBY
The CONTROLPANELwill do darkafterapproximately5 minutesofno activity

CONTROLPANELAND CHILD LOCKiconwill turnon. The controlpanelwillbe locked until

WEDONOTRECOMMEND THEINSTALLATION OFTHEREFRIGERATOR WHERETHE
TEMPERATUREWILL DROPBELOW50ºF(13ºC)OR RISEABOVE110ºF(43ºC). THE
COMPRESSOR WILL NOT BEABLETOMAINTAINPROPER TEMPERATURES INSIDETHE
REFRIGERATOR.
FOR INSTALLATIONSWHERETHETEMPERATURES WILL DROPBELOW50ºSETTHE
FREEZER TEMPERATURECONTROL TOTHE “COLDEST”SETTING. THISWILL IMPROVE

Toadjustthe temperature inthe FreshZone/Crisper, simplymovethe temperaturecontrol(located at
the backofthe unit justabove the crisper) left to right.Temperature range isMAX to MIN.

CAREAND MAINTENANCE
ØCleaning YourAppliance
•Unplug the unit, and remove thefood and baskets.
•Wash the inside with awarmwaterand baking soda solution. The solution shouldbe about 2
tablespoonsofbaking soda to a quartofwater.
•Wash the basketswith a mild detergent solution.
•The outsideofthe unit shouldbe cleaned with mild detergentandwarmwater.
CAUTION
Failure to unplug therefrigerator-freezercouldresultinelectrical shock orpersonalinjury.
ØPowerFailure
Most powerfailuresare corrected within afewhours and shouldnotaffect the temperature of your
refrigerator-freezerif you minimizethenumberoftimesthe doorisopened. Ifthe powerisgoing to be
off fora longerperiod oftime, youneed to take the properstepstoprotectyourfood.
ØVacation Time
Shortvacations: Leave the unit operating duringvacationsofless than three weeks.
Long vacations: Ifthe appliancewill not be used forseveralmonths,removeall food and unplug the
powercord.Clean anddrytheinteriorthoroughly.Topreventodorandmoldgrowth, leavethedoor
openslightly:blocking itopen ifnecessary
ØMoving YourAppliance
•Remove allthe food.
•Securelytape down allloose itemsinside yourunit.
•Turn the leveling screwsupto the base to avoid damage.
•Tape the doorshut.
•Be surethe unit staysinthe upright position during transportation.
ØEnergy Saving Tips
•The unitshouldbe locatedinthe coolestarea ofthe room,awayfromheat producingappliancesor
heatingducts, and out ofdirect sunlight.
•Let hot foodscoolto roomtemperaturebeforeplacing themintheunit. Overloadingtheunitforces
the compressorto run longer. Foodsthatfreeze too slowlymaylosequality,orspoil.
•Be sureto wrapfoodsproperly,and wipe containers drybefore placing themin the unit.Thiscuts
downon frost build-up inside thefreezer.
