have a checklist of parts and fittings.
Assemble the product as close to its intended final location/room as possible.
This product or some parts of this product will be heavy. Please use an assistant when lifting.
Please keep small parts out of reach of children.
Always use on a level, even surface.
DO NOT jump on the product or any of its parts.
DO NOT use this product if any parts are missing, damaged or worn.
DO NOT use this product unless all fixings are secured.

joints. Use a carpet or a rug for extra care.

Important for Ottoman and other
gas lift beds
Note:
The bed base is in the upright position when first assembled as the gas lifts are
fully extended during shipment for safety. After assembly a firm downward push
will be required to overcome any resisitance in the gas lifts as these may initially
stick. We suggest placing a mattress on top of the bed base to aide this and also
test the operation of your new lift up bed by lifting and pushing down the bed
base a few times to allow the lfting mechanism to bed in.
The lift mechanism provides assistance with the lift of the mattress fitted to the
base. It does not lift the mattress for you. The system has been designed to
effectively lift the base system fitted with a variety of mattress weights and
combinations of depths. Depending on the combination of the mattress weight
and depth determines the degree of assistance provided by the mechanism.
Following the installation of the mechanism lift, pull the base up and down a few
times to free off the system. The gas cylinders fitted to the system may be stiff
when first used or if the system has not been operated for a period of time.
Use the strap handles to lift up the mattress base using two hands. Pull the
mattress base down using two hands equally spaced from the centre of the
mattress base. DO NOT pull down on one side of the base only as this is likely to
damage the base system with potential failure of the mattress base system and
lift mechanism.
Do NOT operate the lift up mechanism without the mattress placed on the base.
Caution:
Do NOT allow children to operate the lift mechanism.
Do NOT allow children near the lift base when operating the mechanism.
Do NOT allow children in the area of the internal storage base.
Keep hands clear of the mechanism when operating the base system.
Do NOT stand inside the bed or the internal storage base.
Do NOT overload the internal storage base.

Note that the power supply to the USBs and the 2.0 stereo system is a
maximum of 5 Volts - only use the transformer-plug (11) supplied with the
bed or damage may occur. Plug the angled power lead into the LV socket
on rear of the headboard then connect plug top to your wall socket and
system is now live.
Set the volume on your device to mid-way then pair your device using
Bluetooth in the normal manner.
Search for "MY BT" and once a connection is made, operate using the
controls on your smart device.
Note that there are no controls in the sound system itself and there are no
user serviceable parts.

department for help or advice.

Warning
You must ensure that the mattress is on the bed frame before operating the lift mechanism – Failure
to do so could result in injury.
Keep hands clear of the mechanism when opening or closing the ottoman.
Beware of entrapment – never reach in through the mechanism to access the storage area. Always
ensure that the ottoman is FULLY opened before accessing the storage area.

Fit the two angle brackets (10) screwing the bolts (A),
spring washers (B) & flat washers (C) into the threaded
inserts in each corner of the footboard (2) & side rails (3&4).

Make certain the bed is squared up
as shown in the diagram then tighten
all bed assembly bolts 100%.

Using four sets of bolts (J) fit the metal connection
plates (K) into the threaded inserts on top of the
frame. Use Allen key (D) to tighten all six bolts
100%.

The fitting position for the cross bar (6) is
clearly labeled. Pass bar between the first &
second slat on the metal slat frame (5).
Carefully open the frame.

Ease the plates on top of the cross bar onto top
of the sides of the slat frame and fit two sets of
bolts (J) , spring washers (B) & flat washers (C)
through the connection plates into the threaded
inserts. Do not tighten yet.

Bolt into centre of long holes
iii) With help from your assistant, lift the slat
frame (5) onto slat frame support bars
aligning first set of holes on slat frame with
first set of holes in support bars (nearest to
headboard).
iv) Using three bolt set s on each side (F),
(C), (B) & (G), fix slat frame to the support
bars but do not tighten fully.

During this next step, the assistant should lift up the
slat frame and hold it securely.
On side rails (3&4) slide gas-lift piston stems (X)
onto the axles (Y) then fit the flange lock-nuts (H).

Push x2 Mattress Stoppers (9) into the metal frame, they should go
all the way through the upper & lower sections.

Do not overtighten the nuts (H), there should be a
small gap so (X) can rotate freely, this is important.

Note: Be very careful what you
store under the bed -the top of an
item, like a suitcase or a box, must
not touch the slats or they may be
damaged.
Maximum storage height is 265mm.
1 Before lifting the slat frame, place your mattress on top of the slats as without a mattress in place the speed of
movement is quick and may cause injury so be careful.
2 Carefully lower the frame with the hand-strap ensuring the frame sides are aligned with the side rails; there should
be an even gap on each side, If not aligned, check bed is still square and if it is, but gaps are still not even,
re-align the slat frame,.
3 Depending on the weight of the mattress, the rising speed will vary so be careful until you get used to the speed.
Alway use the strap to lift or lower the frame - keep fingers well away from the moving parts.
4 To help prevent any accidental entrapment, please make certain the ottoman is lifted right to the top of it's travel
before putting in or retrieving an item from the storage area.
5 When finished, slowly lower the frame back to the lower rest position using the hand strap only.
When fully assembled and with the mattress in position, please raise & lower the ottoman
4/5 times to ensure the gas pistons are fully lubricated.

General Care & Maintenance
Please dispose of all packaging safely.
Wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth.
Avoid the use of all household cleaners and abrasives.
Periodically check all screw & fixings to ensure they are secure.
When moving your product, carefully lift into place. Never drag or push the product across the floor as
this will cause damage to the joints. If the product is used on hard flooring, such as wood or laminated
floor, you must place some protection under the legs to stop the product from moving. If this is not
adhered to, it could result in failure to the product that will invalidate the warranty.
