•Beforeyoufirstuseyouraquajoybathlift,charge
yourhandcontrolfortwelvehours.
•Connectthebatteryhandcontrolcabletothe
chargercablebymatchingtheflatpartofthe
connectionstogether.
•Insertthechargerplugintoawallsocket.
• Do not charge your battery hand control in your bathroom.
•Chargeyourbatteryhandcontrolaftereverybath.
•Youcannotoverchargeyourbatteryhandcontrol.
•Iftheindicatorlightflashesreditmeansyoudonothavesufficientchargetouseyour
bathlift.
•Ifyouhavenotusedyourbathliftforoveraweekchargeyourbatteryhandcontrolbefore
bathing.

•Oncesituated,pressthe“down”buttontolowertheplatform
intothebath.Releasethebuttonwhenyouareata
comfortableheightforbathing.Ifyoucontinuetoholdthe
downbuttonthebathliftwillrecline40degreesoncereached
thelowestpoint.
•Bathe
•Whenfinishedbathing,pressthe“up”buttononthehand
controltoraisetheplatformoutofthewater.Oncetheplatform
islevelwiththetopofthebathtub,releasethe“up”button.
•Aftertheplatformisattheproperheight,swing/pulleachleg
outandoverthesideofthebathtub,usingcautionasall
surfacesmaybeslippery.Finally,slideyourselfoffthe
platformandoutofthetub.
•Emptywaterfrombathtub.

•Connectthecableofthefullychargedbatteryhandcontroltothecableonthebackofthe
backrest.(Matchtheflatpartsoftheconnectionstogether).
•Fillbathtubwithwater.
•Push“up”buttononthehandcontroltoraisebathlifttothe
upperedgeofbathtub.Releasethe“up”buttonwhentheseat
oftheliftisflushwiththetopofthetub.
•Sitontheliftperpendiculartothebathtub,andpull/swing
eachlegintothebathtuboneatatime.Adjustyourselfonthe
platformsothatyouareinacomfortablepositionforbathing.

•Emptythewaterfromthebath.
•Pressthe“down”buttononthehandcontrolandtakethebathlifttoitslowestpositioninthe
bath.Continuetopressthedownbuttonuntilthebackrestreachesanangleofapproximately
27degreesormore.
•Takeholdofthetwosideflapsandfoldtheminwardontotheseat.
•Takeholdofthebackrestandpushitforwardsothatitliesflatontheseat(covermatfacing
down).
•Withthebackrestfoldedforwardonthebathliftseat,simplydetachthebackrestfromthebaseby
liftingitupwards(asabove).Thebackrestgrooveswilldetachfromtheseat(base)grooves.
•Toremovetheseat(base),placeonehandontheliftingbarattherearofthebaseandlifttorelease
thebathliftfromthebath.
•Continuetoliftandthesuctionfeetatthefrontofthebathliftwillreleaseautomatically.Placeyour
otherhandonthefrontofthebathliftandlift.
•Continuetoliftyourbathliftbaseoutofthebathandyoucannowstoreitaway.

IftheAQUAJOYBATHLIFTisnotusedfor6monthsthebatterywillrequirechargingbeforethe
liftisused.Pleasefollowthecharginginstructionsonpage8ofthismanual.TheAQUAJOY
BATHLIFTwillnotrequireanyadditionalmaintenanceorservicing,otherthanperiodiccleaning.
Cleaning
ToCleanthe AQUAJOYBATHLIFT,scrubwithahouseholddetergentandthenwipedrywith
acloth.TheAQUAJOYBATHLIFTshouldbestoredinadryplace.TheAQUAJOYBATHLIFT
canbeusedwithorwithoutcovers.Thecovermatscanbeeasilyremovedandwashedinyour
washingmachineuptoamaximumtemperatureof140°F(60°C).

Q.What should I do if the side flaps are obstructed by bath handles?
A.Installthesideflapdivertsoveryourtubshandles.Thedivertersramplikeshapewillallow
thesideflapstogopastthehandles.
Q.My bathlift will run in the up direction but not in the down direction?
A.Thebathliftwillnotruninthedowndirectionifthebatteryneedstoberecharged.
Q.How do I charge my battery hand control?
A.Seethecharginginstructionsonpage4.
Q.How do I wash my cover mats?
A.The AQUAJOYBATHLIFTcan be used with or without covers.Thecovermatscanbe
easilyremovedandwashedinyourwashingmachineuptoamaximumtemperatureof60C°
(140F°).However,thecovermatscannotbeusedinatumbledryer,pleasehangthemuptodry.
Q.Can I use emollients, moisturizer creams, and oils in the bath with my
bathlift?
A.Yes,however,pleaseensurethatyouthoroughlyrinse/cleanawayanyresiduefromthe
baseofthebathandthesuctionfeet.Wealsorecommendthatyouwashyourcovermats
moreoftenwhenoilsetceteraareused.
Q.If I leave my battery hand control on charge will I damage it?
A.No,chargeyourbatteryhandcontrolfor12hourswhenyoufirstreceiveyourbathlift.Then
aftereverybath,leavethehandcontroloncharge.Youcannotoverchargeyourbattery
handcontrol.Afullychargedbatterywillprovideapproximatelyfifteenfullliftsupanddown.
Thereisalsoasafetymechanismonthelifttoensureitwillnotgodownunlessthereis
enoughchargetoraiseitbackup.Thiswillensurethatyouwillnotbecomestuckatthe
bottomofthebath.

vicinityofafire.Disposeofoldbatteryhandcontrolsinthecorrectmanner.

•Si les clapets latéraux sont bloqués sous la poignée de la baignoire, arrêtez et soulevez lʼélévateur,
baissez lʼobstacle et remettez le siège en position haute.
•LʼAQUAJOY SIÈGE ÉLÉVATEUR ne doit être utilisé que dans la baignoire afin dʼaider une personne
à entrer et à sortir de la baignoire. Le siège élévateur ne doit pas être utilisé comme aide ou
