3.1 | Anleitung lesen und aufbewahren
Diese Gebrauchsanleitung gehört ausschließlich zu diesem Produkt. Sie enthält
wichtige Hinweise zur Handhabung und Wartung.
Lesen Sie die Anleitung, insbesondere die Sicherheitshinweise, sorgfältig durch, bevor
Sie das Kabelschloss verwenden. Die Nichtbeachtung dieser Gebrauchsanleitung kann
zu Verletzungen oder zu Schäden am Schloss bzw. Fahrzeug führen.
Die Anleitung basiert auf den in der Europäischen Union gültigen Normen und Regeln.
Beachten Sie im Ausland auch landesspezifische Richtlinien und Gesetze. Bewahren
Sie die Anleitung für die weitere Nutzung auf. Wenn Sie das Kabelschloss an Dritte
weitergeben, geben Sie unbedingt diese Gebrauchsanleitung mit.

4 | Sicherheit
4.1 | Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Kabelschloss dient dem zuverlässigen Schutz vor Gelegenheitsdieben und
sichert schnell und einfach Helme, Gepäck, Abdeckhauben, Sportausrüstung etc..
Das Stahlseil besitzt eine Kunststoffummantelung, um Schäden an den zu sichernden
Gegenständen effektiv zu vermeiden und es vor Feuchtigkeit zu schützen.
Verwenden Sie das Hartmann Kabelschloss nur wie in dieser Anleitung beschrieben.
Jede andere Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß und kann zu Sachschäden
führen. Der Hersteller oder Händler übernimmt keine Haftung für Schäden, die durch
nicht bestimmungsgemäßen oder falschen Gebrauch entstanden sind.
4.2 | Sicherheitshinweise
Gefahren für Kinder und Personen mit verringerten physischen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten (beispielsweise teilweise
Behinderte, ältere Personen mit Einschränkung ihrer physischen

• Halten Sie das Kabelschloss grundsätzlich fern von Kindern. Es
ist kein Spielzeug und birgt das Risiko einer Strangulation.
Beschädigungsgefahr!
• Achten Sie bei der Verwendung des Schlosses darauf, dass
dieses nicht an heißen Fahrzeugteilen oder vor der Auspufföffnung
angebracht wird.
• Schützen Sie Fahrzeugteile und deren empfindliche Oberflächen,
die mit dem Schloss in Berührung kommen können, grundsätzlich
gegen Kratzer aufgrund Reibung, Vibration usw. Dieses gelingt
Ihnen z.B. mit transparenten, selbstklebenden Schutzfolien.
• Halten Sie die zum Motorrad gerichteten Flächen des
Schlosses zusätzlich stets sauber. Sand, Staub und andere
Verschmutzungen können aufgrund des Schleifeffekts Oberflächen
(besonders Lackierungen) schädigen.
5 | Einstellung
5.1 | Kombination einstellen
•Wählen Sie die voreingestellte Kombination 0-0-0-0 fluchtend mit dem kleinen unteren
Einstellpunkt.

•Drücken Sie den länglichen Verriegelungsknopf seitlich am Schloss, es ist ein Klick-
Geräusch zu hören.
•Setzen Sie einen Feinmechaniker-Schraubendreher auf die Reset-Schraube unten am
Schlossgehäuse. Drücken Sie die Schraube ein und drehen Sie sie dabei nach links.
•Stellen Sie die Wunsch-Zahlenkombination fluchtend mit dem unteren Einstellpunkt
ein.
•Drehen Sie die Reset-Schraube unter Druck wieder zurück.
•Drücken Sie den runden Entriegelungsknopf, die Verriegelung springt heraus. Das
Schloss ist nunmehr auf Ihre Zahlenkombination eingestellt.
5.2 Verschließen
•Wählen Sie ein stabiles Objekt zur Befestigung. Schlingen Sie das Kabel um das
Objekt und stecken Sie das ösenförmige Ende in den Schlosskörper ein.
•Drücken Sie den länglichen Verriegelungsknopf, bis Sie ein Klick-Geräusch hören.
Verstellen Sie die Zahlenkombination. Prüfen Sie das Schloss auf feste Verriegelung.
5.3 | Öffnen
•Stellen Sie die gewählte Zahlenkombination zum Öffnen ein (Werkseinstellung 0-0-0-0).
•Drücken Sie den runden Entriegelungsknopf, der längliche Verriegelungsknopf springt
heraus, das Kabel kann aus dem Schlosskörper genommen werden.
6 | Anwendung
Suchen Sie sich einen geeigneten Gegenstand aus, an dem Sie Ihren Helm,
Sportausrüstung, Gepäck etc. befestigen möchten. Der Gegenstand sollte nicht
beweglich bzw. ausreichend groß und schwer sein. Sie können z.B. zwei Schlaufen
formen, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt, die eine hält das Objekt, z.B. das Kinnteil
eines Motorradhelmes, die andere liegt um den Befestigungsgegenstand, z.B. den
Motorradrahmen. Verschließen Sie sodann das Kabelschloss wie beschrieben und
verstellen Sie die Zahlenkombination.

7 | Lagerung
Lagern Sie das Kabelschloss in einem vor Witterung und Feuchtigkeit geschützten
geschlossenen Raum. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit von max. 80% (nicht kondensierend) sollte
nicht überschritten werden.
8 | Reinigung und Pflege
Reinigen Sie das Kabelschloss ausschließlich mit warmer Seifenlauge und einem
weichen Tuch per Hand. Verwenden Sie auf keinen Fall scharfe Reinigungsmittel oder
ähnliches. Ölen Sie den Schließmechanismus nach der Reinigung ggf. mit etwas Feinöl.
9 | Gewährleistung
Für Ihr Hartmann Kabelschloss gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistung von zwei Jahren.
Der Gewährleistungszeitraum beginnt ab dem Kaufdatum. Gebrauchsspuren,
Zweckentfremdung, nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch und Schäden, die aus
einem Unfall, einer Manipulation oder einem Reparaturversuch durch unautorisierte
Kundendienste oder Personen resultieren oder technisch abgeänderte Kabelschlösser
sind von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen.
10 | Entsorgung
Verpackung entsorgen
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung sortenrein. Geben Sie Pappe und Karton zum
Altpapier, Folien und Blister in die Wertstoffsammlung.
Kabelschloss entsorgen
(Anwendbar in der Europäischen Union und anderen europäischen Staaten mit
Systemen zur getrennten Sammlung von Wertstoffen)
Soll das Kabelschloss entsorgt werden, geben Sie es bei einem örtlichen Recyclinghof

3.1 | Reading and keeping these instructions
These instructions for use are exclusively for this product. They contain important
information on handling and maintenance.
Read these instructions carefully, in particular the safety instructions, before using the
cable lock. Failure to adhere to these instructions for use can lead to injury or damage
to the lock.
The instructions are based on the standards and regulations valid in the European
Union. If abroad, observe country-specific guidelines and laws. Keep these instructions
for future reference. If you pass the cable lock on to third parties, you must also hand
over these instructions for use.
3.2 | Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words may be used in these instructions.
4 | Safety
4.1 | Intended use
The cable lock is used to provide reliable protection from opportunistic thieves, and
safeguards helmets, luggage, covers and sports equipment etc. quickly and simply.
The steel cable has a plastic casing to provide effective protection from damage to the
objects being safeguarded, and to protect the cable from moisture.
Only use the Hartmann cable lock as described in these instructions. Any other use
is considered improper use and may result in material damage. The manufacturer or
supplier accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
4.2 | Safety instructions
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, elderly persons
with reduced physical and mental abilities) or lack of experience
and knowledge of dealing with motorcycles (e.g. older children).
• Keep the packaging film away from children, as there is a risk of
suffocation.
• Keep the cable lock out of the reach of children. It is not a toy and
is a strangulation hazard.
This signal symbol/word indicates a hazard with a
medium risk level which, if not avoided, may result in
death or serious injury.
This signal word warns of possible material damage.

Risk of damage!
• When using the lock, make sure that it is not attached to hot
vehicle parts or in front of the exhaust opening.
• Protect vehicle parts and their sensitive surfaces, which may
come into contact with the lock, from scratches caused by friction
or vibration etc. You can do so, for example, using transparent,
self-adhesive protective film.
• Always keep the surfaces of the lock which face the bike clean.
Sand, dust and other soiling can damage surfaces (especially
paintwork) as they act like sandpaper.
5 | Setting up
5.1 | Setting the combination
•Set the preset combination 0-0-0-0 so that the numbers align with the small bottom
setting point.
•Press the elongated locking button on the side of the lock. There is an audible click.
•Place a precision mechanics screwdriver on the reset button on the underside of the
lock housing. Press the screw in and turn it to the left at the same time.
•Set the desired combination so that it aligns with the bottom setting point.
•Turn the reset screw back again whilst still pressing it.
•Press the round release button. The locking mechanism pops out. The lock is now set
to your own combination.

5.2 | Locking
•Select a stable object to fasten to. Loop the cable around the object and insert the
eyelet-shaped end into the body of the lock.
•Press the elongated locking button until you hear an audible click. Reset the numbers
to a random combination. Check that the lock locks securely.
5.3 | Opening
•Set the selected combination to open (factory setting 0-0-0-0).
•Press the round release button. The elongated locking button pops out, and the cable
can then be removed from the body of the lock.
6 | How to use
Find a suitable object to which you wish to fasten your helmet, sports equipment,
luggage etc. The object should not be moveable, and must be sufficiently large and
heavy. You can form two loops, for instance, as shown in the figure. One holds the
object, e.g. the chin piece of a motorcycle helmet, the other is wrapped around the
fastening object, e.g. the motorcycle frame. Then lock the cable lock as described and
set the numbers to a random combination.
7 | Storage
Store the cable lock in a closed room which is protected from the weather and
moisture. The air humidity should not exceed 80% (non-condensing).
8 | Cleaning and care
Only ever clean the cable lock by hand with warm soapy water and a soft cloth. Never
use harsh cleaning products or similar. Oil the locking mechanism after cleaning as
necessary with a little fine oil.

9 | Warranty
Your Hartmann cable lock is covered by the statutory two-year warranty. The warranty
period begins on the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover normal wear and
tear, use for anything other than the intended purpose, damage caused by an accident
or by modifications or attempted repairs by unauthorised persons, or changes to the
technical specification.
10 | Disposal
Packaging disposal
Please dispose of the packaging properly. Dispose of card and cardboard
with the waste paper and dispose of plastic film and blister packaging with
recyclables.
Disposing of the cable lock
(Applicable in the European Union and other European countries with systems for
separate collection of recyclables)
If you wish to dispose of the cable lock, hand it over to a local recycling centre or a
collection point for scrap metal.

Le câble antivol protège rapidement, facilement et de manière fiable vos casques,
bagages, housses, équipements sportifs, etc. contre les voleurs opportunistes. Le
câble en acier possède une gaine en plastique, afin d‘éviter de manière efficace les
dommages sur les objets sécurisés et d‘être protégé contre l‘humidité.
N‘utilisez le câble antivol Hartmann que comme décrit dans le présent mode d‘emploi.
Toute autre utilisation est considérée comme non conforme et peut entraîner des
dommages matériels. Le fabricant et le revendeur déclinent toute responsabilité pour

• Lorsque vous utilisez le cadenas, assurez-vous de ne pas le
monter sur les pièces chaudes du véhicule ou devant l‘ouverture
du pot d‘échappement.
• Il est recommandé de protéger les parties du véhicule et surfaces
sensibles pouvant entrer en contact avec le cadenas contre
les rayures dues au frottement, aux vibrations, etc. Pour cela,
vous pouvez parex. utiliser des films de protection transparents
autoadhésifs.
• Veillez à ce que les surfaces de l‘antivol tournées vers la moto
soient toujours propres. Le sable, la poussière et autres saletés
peuvent endommager les surfaces (en particulier la peinture)
sous l‘effet d‘abrasion.

5.1| Réglage de la combinaison
•Sélectionnez la combinaison préréglée (0-0-0-0), en alignant les chiffres avec le petit
point de réglage situé en bas.
•Appuyez sur le bouton de verrouillage oblong sur le côté du cadenas; vous entendrez
alors un clic.
•Placez un tournevis de précision dans la vis de réinitialisation située sous le boîtier
du cadenas. Enfoncez la vis en la tournant simultanément vers la gauche.
•Réglez la combinaison de chiffres souhaitée, en alignant les chiffres avec le point de
réglage situé en bas.
•Tournez la vis de réinitialisation dans le sens inverse en appuyant dessus
simultanément.
•Appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage rond, le verrouillage se relâche. Le cadenas
est alors réglé de manière à fonctionner avec votre propre combinaison de chiffres.
5.2| Verrouillage
•Choisissez un objet robuste comme base de fixation. Enroulez le câble autour de
l‘objet, puis insérez l‘extrémité en forme d‘œillet dans le corps du cadenas.
•Appuyez sur le bouton de verrouillage oblong, jusqu‘à ce que vous entendiez un clic.
Changez la combinaison de chiffres. Assurez-vous que le cadenas est fermement
verrouillé.
5.3| Ouverture
•Pour ouvrir le cadenas, réglez la combinaison de chiffres choisie (configuration
d‘origine: 0-0-0-0).
•Appuyez sur le bouton de déverrouillage rond, le bouton de verrouillage oblong
ressort. Vous pouvez alors retirer le câble du corps du cadenas.
6| Utilisation
Cherchez un objet approprié sur lequel vous souhaitez fixer votre casque, votre
équipement sportif, vos bagages, etc. L‘objet ne doit pas être mobile et il doit être
