Safety: HAUPA cable cutters are fitted with a safety valve which has
been set at the factory. This tool is not insulated, use proper
personal protective equipment while working near
energized electrical lines.

3. Brief description:
• 6 ton cutting force for maximum performance
• Engine stop. The feed is stopped immediately after releasing the control switch.
No overrun of the piston.
• 180° rotatable cutting head; allows cutting even in hard-to-reach places.
• Manual return allows shorter pressing cycles and saves battery capacity. The manual
return also allows the operator to return the piston in the event of an error during pressing.
• Following a complete cutting process, the device runs into idle mode.
Please note: In the event of an incomplete cut, the piston return button can be very firm
and thus hard to press.
• Depending on the product configuration, delivery includes an 18V 2Ah as well as a
charger
Precautions:
Before first time use of this tool, reading these operating instructions is mandatory. All
energized electrical lines near the working area are to be deactivated, protective precautions
for working near energized electrical parts have to be made following DIN EN 50110.
To prevent any accidents use this tool for the manufacturer’s intended purpose only. Users
must be age 16 and over, have appropriate training and are obliged to read and understand
the content of this manual. Use is prohibited if user is tired or under the influence of
medication, alcohol or drugs. Instructions are not to be removed form the tool and should be
at hand if needed.
Operators have to ensure these instructions are understood and observed by users at all
times.

Opertation:
• The cutting head ist 180°rotatable, which allows using it in places otherwise hard to
reach.
• Cutting can be interrupted at any time by releasing the operating button.
• Do not cut any enegrized electrical parts!
• This tool is not insulated!
• This tool is not intended for continuous uniterrupted use, following 35 – 45 cutting
operations, allow about 15 minutes to cool down. Failure to observe this warning could
result in damage to the tool.
• This tool may not be used in damp or wet environments.
4. Instructions on intended use
Prior to use all energized electrical lines in the working vicinity of the user have to be
deactivated. Should this be impossible protective precautions for working near energized
electrical parts have to be made. The charge of the battery should be checked before starting
work.

6. Care and maintenance
Cleaning:
• Careful cleaning of the tool, in particular, the moving parts contributes towards a longer
useful life. Remember that dust, sand, environmental influences, in particular a high salt
index, and dirt in general are extremely damaging to hydraulic tools.
• Particular care should be taken when cleaning the pump drive piston and the piston.
The tiniest of contaminations may scratch the walls of the cylinder and damage the
leak-proof seals. For the correct cleaning of the piston, we recommend extending the
piston and then cleaning it with a high-quality, non-corrosive solution.
Power switch:
Check to see whether the switch on the machine automatically pops out again when you
release it.
Storage:
To prevent damage to the tool as a result of bumps, dust etc. you should if possible store the
tools in the original packaging.
Warranty:
2 year warranty when used for the purpose it is intended when the annual maintenance
intervals are maintained by an authorised HAUPA service centre. We reserve the right to
rework the product.
Faults:
Loss of oil:
Send to the HAUPA service centre. Do not open!
Disposal:
…in accordance with the scope of validity of the European WEEE (2012/19/EU) and RoHS
directives (2011/65/EU). Batteries must be disposed off separating according to the battery
directive.
WITH EVERY REPLACEMENT PART ORDER, INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

3) Reference to the operating instructions and/or date.
4) Tool type.
5) Serial number of the tool.
The warranty is voided if you use parts that are not original replacement parts from HAUPA.
