Cautions / Warnings
CAUTION: When operated for a long time at the high-power setting, a non-
handheld SuperNOVA™ LED may feel startlingly warm to the touch. This is
normal for an LED light of similar size and performance, and NOT a defect.
It is not a burn hazard. When using the light for extended periods, use the
lowest power setting that will give a sufficient amount of light for the task.
WARNING: This is a Class 2 LED product. Do not stare directly into the
beam. Momentary, accidental viewing is safe.
CAUTION: LED Radiation, (RG-2) DO NOT STARE INTO BEAM – May be
harmful to eyes. Per IEC 62471 Ed 1.0:2006:07

CHARGING
Charging
The SuperNOVA™ LED must be fully charged before first use.
Plug the charger into the appropriate
power outlet. Slide the SuperNOVA™
LED, handle-first, into the charger
until the contacts snap into
engagement.
A full charge on a completely
discharged light takes about 3 hours.
5
LED Charge Indicator
• With the light inserted properly in the charging cradle, the red, charge-indicator LED
should be lit. It may take a second or two for the LED to light when the light is first
inserted.
• While charging – the LED glows steadily.
• When charged – the LED blinks about once per second.
IMPORTANT: Charging temperature is between 20°F and 115°F (-7 to 46 deg. C). A safety
circuit prevents charging outside that range.
• Temperatures outside this range may cause the charge indicator to temporarily
function abnormally.
• It is normal for the indicator to switch between steady glow and blinking as the battery
reaches full charge.
• There is no danger of overcharging. The light is designed to be in the charger
continuously when not in use.
