A new generation of Pocket PC and CF+ Modem solutions is now giving
dynamic, mobile workforces the freedom to be productive from any location. With the Hawking
H-CF690V Compact Flash + Modem Card, you can rapidly synchronize, communicate, and
exchange information worldwide. You can also conveniently access a wide variety of online
resources, including email and the Internet, from your Pocket PC/Windows CE handheld using a
standard 56K connection. The included CompactFlash to PCMCIA Card Adapter allows you to
connect your H-CF690V to any notebook or computer with a PCMCIA or Cardbus slot.
The CF690V modem card provides a fast, reliable and secure connection. It provides speeds of up
to 56Kbps*. Its low 3.3 V power consumption technology allows you to preserve your battery life.
Using Pocket Internet Explorer, you can access the Internet and send/receive email. Microsoft
ActiveSyn will also allow you to synchronize with your desktop…anywhere!
*Capable of receiving downloads at up to 56 Kbps and sending at up to 31.2 Kbps. Actual
download speeds you experience may be lower due to varying line conditions.

Step 1 - Install the H-CF690V CF+ Modem Card
Insert the CF690V Card into the Microsoft® Pocket PC or Windows CE - based
PDA/Palm PC by aligning the card with the wide connector toward the Compact
Flash slot
Step 2 - Get Connected
Connect telephone cable to the RJ-11 connector in the card and configure a
Dial-up connection.
Step 3 - Dial Up and Go!
Enter your ISP phone number, User name & Password and you are ready to go.
