General Safety Warnings and Information:
When using an electrical appliance, always follow basic precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
-- Read all instructions before installing or using any Cloud Heater CH1 device.
-- Use a Cloud Heater CH1 only as described in this guide. Any other use not recommended by Heat with
Benefits LLC may cause electric shock, fire, injury to persons, or property damage.

IMPORTANT: A 15 Amp, 120 Volt, 50-60Hz alternating current (VAC) circuit is required. A dedicated
circuit is preferred but not essential in all cases. A dedicated circuit will be required if, after installation,
the circuit breaker trips or blows fuses on a regular basis when the heater is operating. Additional
appliances on the same circuit may exceed the current rating of the circuit breaker. Wiring must comply
with local building codes and other applicable regulations to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and
injury to persons. Never attempt to wire your own new outlets or circuits. To reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock or injury to persons, always use a licensed electrician.
Installation:
1. Locate the “TP-Link Range Extender” accessory box. It will be located in the interior of the
bench style heater or connected to the back of the cabinet style heater.
2. Open that box. Get out the range extender accessory and the quick setup guide.
3. Plug the range extender accessory into an electrical outlet that's handy to work with (this is
not necessarily the plug you want the Cloud Heater on...just a handy one for configuring the
accessory to connect it to your WiFi)
4. Follow the TP-Link Range Extender Quick Setup guide to use the TP-Link Tether application
(iPhone or Android) to connect the extender into your WiFi network.
Quick tip: the on-screen iPhone and Android keyboards like to auto capitalize things. Be
very careful to verify the capitalization is correct when you enter your WiFi password.

5. When connected properly to your WiFi, both blue LED lights on the range extender should be
lit up. If there is only one solid blue LED, or a blue and red LED lit, return to the TP-Link quick
setup guide and try again.
6. If the range extender has two solid blue LED lights on, unplug it and then plug it into the back
of the Cloud Heater CH1.
a. There are two connectors that need to be connected: power plug and ethernet
plug. Be sure to connect both.
b. On the bench style Cloud Heater, the range extender goes inside the bench and on the
back of the metal Cloud Heater core.
c. On the cabinet style Cloud Heater, the range extender connects to the back, just below
the air filter and power cord connection.
7. Plug the Cloud Heater CH1 power cord into a suitable power outlet (see electrical guidance
and warnings, below)
8. Turn the Cloud Heater “On” by twisting the thermostat to 80 degrees.
9. Check that the range extender turns on. Wait 30 seconds to verify it has connected properly
to the WiFi Network – there will be two solid LED lights lit on the range extender when the
extender is connected successfully.

Placement Guidance and Warnings:
IMPORTANT: A Cloud Heater CH1 device is heavy (almost 40lbs) and should only be moved, lifted, or
carried by two or more people after reading all of this document.
-- For INDOOR USE ONLY. Do not operate a Cloud Heater CH1 outdoors.
-- Cloud Heater CH1 devices are not intended for use in possibly wet indoor room such as bathrooms,
kitchens, and laundry areas. Never locate a Cloud Heater CH1 where it may fall into water or operate
one in a wet area.
-- Do not plug in or operate a Cloud Heater CH1 in areas where paint, gasoline, or other flammable
liquids are used or stored, such as a garage or workshop. Do not plug in or operate a Cloud Heater CH1
where it may be exposed to flammable or explosive vapors.
-- Place the air intake/filter side of your Cloud Heater CH1 at least 0.3m (10 inches) from wall and do not
block intake/filter.

-- Do not block hot air exhaust grate (on bottom of cabinet model or side of bench model). Leave at
least 0.5m (18 inches) of space between the air exhaust grate and wall or any other large object.
-- Do not operate on soft surfaces, like a bed or thick carpet, where it may fall over or openings may be
blocked.
-- When Cloud Heater CH1 is not in use, store in a dry place, free of excessive vibration, dust, and
insects.
Electrical Guidance and Warnings:
-- Only plug a Cloud Heater CH1 in to a properly grounded and polarized, 3-prong, fused electrical
outlet on a 15 Amp circuit. If you are unsure whether your location, home, circuit, or outlet meets
these requirements, consult a qualified and licensed electrician.
-- DO NOT use with an extension cord. always plug Cloud Heater CH1 directly into an appropriate wall
or floor outlet.
-- Only use the power cord provided. Do not detach or modify the cord.
-- Do not use or plug a Cloud Heater CH1 in to an electrical outlet or electrical circuit serving another
high-power device, such as (but not limited to) a heater, vacuum cleaner, hair dryer, or other motorized
or heating device.
-- To unplug a Cloud Heater CH1, turn the thermostat control to OFF and then remove the plug from the
electrical outlet.
-- Ensure any Cloud Heater CH1 is plugged in to the electrical outlet fully and does not expose any of
the metal prongs of the plug. If the plug is loose in the outlet, or will not stay fully plugged in, use a
different outlet. If the plug or outlet become hot to the touch or show signs of overheating, turn off the
heater immediately and unplug it from the wall when it cools down sufficiently. A hot plug may indicate
a damaged or overloaded circuit that may be dangerous when used with any high-power electrical
device. Seek the advice of a qualified and licensed electrician to ensure your outlet is safe if it becomes
hot during use.
-- Do not operate a Cloud Heater CH1 with a damaged cord, plug, or electrical outlet.
-- Turn off and unplug any Cloud Heater CH1 when it is not in use.
-- Do not cover the power cord with a rug or otherwise place the cord under a carpet or rug.
-- Ensure power cord is not placed against sharp edges or pinched by furniture or other items
-- Route the Cloud Heater CH1 power cord away from traffic areas to an area where it will not be tripped
over.
Temperature Guidance and Fire Warnings:

-- A Cloud Heater CH1 is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. The
output grate of the device (bottom of cabinet unit, right side of bench unit) may become hot during
operation. Keep combustible materials like furniture, curtains, bedding, pillows, papers, electrical cords,
and clothes at least 0.9m (3 feet) from the heater.
-- If the Cloud Heater CH1 wall plug, or the outlet the Cloud Heater is plugged in to, are hot to the touch,
immediately turn the Cloud Heater off at the thermostat and unplug it. The wall plug and outlet will
normally become warm to the touch, but should not feel hot. If your wall outlet becomes hot, you may
have an existing electrical wiring issue that you should discuss with a qualified electrician.
-- Extreme caution is necessary when any heating device is used by or near children or a person
incapable of running a Cloud Heater CH1 safely or who does not fully understand these warnings. Do
not leave children unattended with a Cloud Heater that is plugged in.
-- When used for the first time, a Cloud Heater CH1 may emit a slight odor for a few minutes. This is
normal and is caused by initial heating of the system. It should not occur after 12 hours of heating
activity.
-- After initial use, if you believe a Cloud Heater CH1 is emitting a burning smell, immediately turn off the
device, unplug it and contact Heat with Benefits LLC. Inspect the area around the heater for any
possible heat damage or items that may have come close to the Cloud Heater CH1.
-- Do not insert or allow anything to enter the intake fan area or exhaust opening. This may cause an
electric shock, fire, or damage the Cloud Heater CH1.
