Loading and initial operation.
1. Open the front door of the base frame.
2. Draw out the pellet hopper.
3. Fill in 6-8 lbs. of pellets.
4. Place 2-3 pieces of a natural firelighter or gel onto the pellets and light them.(remember that the
use
of inappropriate firelighters could lead to a dysfunction of the heater)
5.
Cover the pellet hopper with the hopper cover after being sure that their combustion
started
well.
6. Insert the pellet hopper in the base element of the heater, lock the door, and remove the key,
storing it in a safe place.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONSASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
INITIAL OPERATION AND DISCHARGING
Please allow up to 10 minutes to see flames through the glass tube
Do not open the door of the base element during use.
Allow the heater to operate until the pellets in the hopper have completely burned, bearing in mind
that after the diminishing of the flame the heater emits heat for at least 2 hours respectively
corresponding to the quantity of pellets you have used.
HEATER FUNCTION
The heater works through pyrolysis, a natural chemical
process that generates biogas. Not the pellets themselves
but the biogas generated creates the flame. The process
diminishes the more the combustion of pellets exhausts
itself. The remaining residue is called char.
The temperature within the hopper cannot be controlled
nor blocked as the natural process of combustion takes
place. The pellets burn from the top down, therefore pellets
should never be added to the heater until the prior load
has burned down completely. Discharge the hopper of
char afterwards and only then refill with more pellets.
Fresh Air
Pellets
Pyrolysis Zone
Char
Hot Biogas

It is normal to have white smoke and fumes after the first use of the heater. Over time, this will
gradually be less intense.
Discharging: Make sure to use mitts for protection.
1. Open the front door of the base frame.
2. Wearing the appropriate fire proof mitts, remove the cover of the pellet hopper.
3.
Keep wearing the fire proof mitts and draw out the collection tray in order to discharge the ash.
4. Clean the inside of the pellet hopper, using the poker if necessary, removing any residual pellets
even if still burning. Use Caution!
5.
Make sure there are no obstructions that will cause the pellet hopper not to close properly.
6. Place the hopper plate back onto the pellet hopper then push back inside the housing.
Empty out the pellet hopper only if you are sure that the combustion material does not glow
or burn anymore.
Please read the entire instruction manual carefully.
Loading and firing up:
1.
Open the front door of the heater.
2.
Pull out the pellet hopper.
3.
Remove the hopper cover. Load the hopper with the desired and allowed quantity of pellets.
LBS PELLET FLAME DURATION
6.5 lbs about 1.5 hours
about 2 hours
11 lbs about 2.5 hours
13.2 lbs about 3.5 hours
15.5 lbs about 4.5 hours
17.5 lbs
about 6 hours
4.
Ignite the pellets using a natural fire starter block or fire starting gel (both are available at most
hardware stores). Do not use any other form of accelerants, such as gasoline or lighter fluid, as
these can lead to poor performance, unpredictable or dangerous lighting, or damage to the
heater.
5.
Be sure that the pellets are fully lit before sliding the pellet hopper back into place.
Please allow up to 10 mintues to see flames through the glass tube
12
The heater will be ready for full regular use only after its initial usage and cleaning.
HOW TO LOAD, FIREUP, UNLOAD AND RELOAD THE HEATER
8.8 lbs
The following table shows the correct quantity of pellets.

Throughout the burn process, do not open the door of the base.
It is recommended to allow the heater to fully operate until the pellets are fully burned.
The suggested pellet quantity is roughly calculated. Please note that the heater filled with a smaller
quantity of pellets produces a higher flame because there is more air inside the burner, but the
duration will be shorter. On the contrary if the heater is filled with a large quantity of pellets the
duration will be longer but the flame will be lower because of the lower quantity of air inside the
burner.
After the flame diminishes, the heater will emit heat for at least two hours depending on the
quantity of pellets used
Unloading:
1. Open the door of the base and extract the burner.
2. Wearing the appropriate fireproof mitts, remove the cover of the pellet hopper.
3. While wearing the fire proof mitts, you will need to remove the stove plate to allow the ashes to
fall into the collection tray.
4.
Clean the inside of the pellet hopper, using the poker if necessary, removing any residual
pellets.
5. Please make sure that the edges and the lower door are clear of any obstruction in order to
close properly.
6.
Place the cover back on the hopper and slide back inside the housing.
WARNING: THE COLLECTION TRAY HAS TO BE EMPTIED ONLY WHEN THE COMBUSTION RESIDUE
INSIDE IS COMPLETELY COLD.
Reload:
When pellets have completely burned down and the unit is cool to the touch, you may reload the
hopper with more pellets.
It is reiterated that:
•
Always keep watch over the unit during use.
•
Always use protective mitts when handling the heater.
•
The temperature and the duration of the flame indicated on the previous schedule of this
manual and on the Heater’s brochure are purely indicative and they are directly evaluated
and regulated according to common sense and specific conditions of the Heater’s user and
what kind of pellet used.
•
After every ignition, it is recommended to clean the Heater, empty the collection tray with the
opening under the hopper using the attention and care recommended
previously.
13

Use cleaning products recommended for glass and a soft cloth to clean the heater. Do not use
abrasive, caustic, or corrosive products.
After every firing, remove any residual pellets and char inside the burner to avoid issues with the
next firing.
To ensure proper operation, lubricate the burner’s sliding guides with oil or silicon-based lubricant
spray after every second or third use of the heater.
Glass tube cleaning:
The products of combustion may form a crust on the tube making it difficult to clean. It is
advisable to clean the glass tube every one or two firings.
Exterior cleaning:
Clean the exterior with a soft cloth, water, and mild soap.
FOR ANY CLEANING IT IS RECOMMENDED TO NOT USE ABRASIVE OR CORROSIVE PRODUCTS.
14
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Ensure that the heater is cold and off.
2. Open the Decorative cover.
3. Lift the glass tube upwards from the base, tilt it out, and remove from top frame.
4. Spray inside with an appropriate cleaning product.
5. Use the supplied cleaning tube brush to carefully clean the inside of the glass tube. Wrap the end
of the brush in a soft cloth and use mild soap and water for best results.
6. Clean the exterior of the glass tube as well.
7. Re-insert the glass tube (see assembly directions).
8. Attach the Decorative Cover back in its place.
