The purpose of this manual is primarily to acquaint the operator
with the principles of handling the product, with its assembly/installation,
with safety rules during use, maintenance, storage and transport. The manual,
which is an integral part of the product, must be kept in a safe place
so that the necessary information can be found in the future. When passing
the product to another person, it is necessary to pass on the manual as well.

SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
This product is exclusively intended for the use:
- to cultivate landscaped beds
- for breaking up and tiling coarse soil for the purpose of mixing in fertiliser, peat and
compost.
- according to the corresponding descriptions and safety instructions in these operating
instructions. Any other use is not as intended.
If the product is used for any purpose other than the intended purpose or if unauthorized
modification is made, the statutory warranty and statutory responsibility for defects as
well as any liability on the part of the manufacturer will be void.
Do not overload! Use the product only for the powers it was designed for. The product
designed for a given purpose performs it better and safer than one that has a similar function.
Therefore, always use the correct one for a given purpose.
Please keep in mind that our products are not designed for commercial, trade or industrial use
according to their intended purpose. We accept no liability if the product is used in these or
comparable conditions.
Where it is required, follow the legal guidelines and regulations to prevent possible

TRAINING
CAll operating personnel must be adequately trained in the use, operation and
setting and especially familiar with prohibited activities.
• No qualification is required except for detailed lesson of the use of unit.
• Never allow use by children or people unfamiliar with these instructions. Local regulations
may specify an age limit of the operator.
• This product is not intended for use by persons with reduced sensory or mental capacity
or lack of experience and konwledge - unless they are under the supervision of the person
responsible for their safety or if this person has instructed how use this product. The product
is not intended for use by children and persons with reduced mobility or poor physical
disposition. We strongly recommend to pregnant women to contact her doctor before use
of this product.
• Respect national/local regulations regarding working time (please, contact your local
authority).
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Know your tool. Read owner’s manual carefully. Learn its applications and
limitations as well as the specific potential hazards related to this tool. Familiarise
yourself with the controls on the machine and how to use them.
• Be careful at work, be concentrated on actual work, and use the common sense.
• An inattention during work may result in loss of control over the machine.
• Do not use this machine if you tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
• Do not put hands and feet near rotating parts.
• Do not put metal or stone into the machine.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control
of the tool in unexpected situations.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the machine on. A wrench or a key that
is left attached to a rotating part of the machine may result in personal injury.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or clothing that has cords or belts, jewellery,
and the like. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• Prolonged use of the machine may lead to disorders of blood circulation in hands caused by
vibration. These effects can be worsened by low ambient temperatures and/or by gripping
the handgrips excessively tightly. Period of use you can extend with appropriate gloves or
regular breaks. Take frequent work breaks. Limit the amount of exposure per day.

This machine can cause serious injury (for example, cutting off the limbs) and throw
objects away. Failure to observe safety regulations can result in serious injury.
• The machine may only be operated by one person.
• Always ensure good stability on slopes.
• Move the machine at walking pace.
• The following applies for the machines on wheels: while working, proceed following
the contour lines, never uphill or downhill.

• Be especially careful when turning the machine or pulling it towards yourself.
• Increased attention should be paid to places where the soil is rocky and hard. Under these
conditions there is a risk of injury or damage to the machine by throwing stones, clods and
the like.
• The machine must not be lifted or transported while the engine is running. When changing
the working area, switch off the machine and wait for the work tool to stop completely.
• Never use the machine with damaged protection devices or covers or missing, modified or
disconnected safety systems.
• Do not work with a damaged, incomplete or rebuilt machine.
• If you hit a foreign object, stop the machine. Allow the engine to cool down, disconnect
the spark plug terminal and check for any damage to the machine. The machine must be
repaired before starting and using it again.
• If abnormal vibrations occur or you hear unusual sound during operation, stop the machine
and determine the cause. Vibrations generally indicate a malfunction. Have it repaired
before using it again.
• If you use the machine for the first time or after a repair, it is necessary to perform a test
run to see if any abnormal reactions occur. This avoids the risk of injury or damage to
the machine.
• Never leave this machine unattended at the workplace.

PREPARATION
• Examine the machine ensure it is in good condition, check all the screws, nuts and other
fasteners are properly secured and the screen is in place. Replace unreadable labels.
• Keep all guards and deflectors in place and in good working condition.
• Remove accumulated debris from muffler area and cylinder area. Inspect the muffler for
cracks, corrosion, or other damage.
• Check the machine before an each use to determine whether the working tools are not
worn or damaged. Replace worn or damaged parts.
WORK AREA
• Do not operate in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases, or dust. Product create sparks which may ignite the dust or fume.
• Check the terrain where you are going to use the machine, and remove any objects that
could be caught, tangled, or discarded (stones, shards of glass, nails, wires, toys, sticks, etc.).
Only operate the machine on a safe surface and only in good light!
• Never use the machine during rain and storms, especially if there is a risk of lightning strikes.
• Never use the machine on a slippery surface.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating the machine. Distractions can cause
you to lose control.
• While working, make sure that you stand firmly. Be particularly careful when working on
sloping terrain.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE BATTERY
a. Battery-packs and batteries mustn’t be disassembled, opened or cut.
b. Don‘t expose battery-packs or batteries to heat or fire. Storing in direct sunlight
and effects of direct sunlight should be avoided. Temperature higher than the critical
limit can result in overheating of lithium batteries, their explosion and subsequent flare-up.
This warning applies generally to ALL devices in which lithium batteries are used.
c. Don‘t short-circuit the battery-packs or batteries. Batteries shouldn‘t be accidentally
stored in boxes or drawers as this would allow them to short-circuit with each
other or by metal objects.
d. Battery-packs or batteries mustn‘t be removed from their original packaging before
you intend using them.
e. Battery-packs or batteries mustn‘t be exposed to mechanical impact.
f. In the event of cell leakage, contact with the skin or eyes should be avoided. If
affected, wash the affected areas with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
g. Recharging only with the charger specified by the manufacturer.
h. The plus (+) and minus (-) markings on the battery and device should be identified
and used correctly.
i. Only use the battery-packs and batteries specified for this purpose.
j. The device mustn‘t combine items of a different brand, capacity, size or type.
k. Children shouldn‘t use battery-packs or batteries unless under adult supervision.
l. If a cell or battery is swallowed, you should seek medical attention immediately.
m. Always purchase batteries that are recommended by the device manufacturer.
n. Keep battery-packs or batteries and cells clean and dry.
o. If cells or battery terminals become dirty, they should be cleaned with a clean, dry
cloth.
p. Battery-packs and batteries must be charged before use. Always use the correct
charger and follow the manufacturer's instructions or operating instructions.
q. Don‘t charge the battery-pack or battery for a long periods when not in use.
r. After prolonged storage, it may be better to recharge and discharge the battery-
pack or battery several times to maximise battery performance.
s. The original battery-pack and battery documentation should be retained for future
use.
t. Rechargeable battery-packs or batteries should only be used for purposes for which
they are intended.
u. When not in use, battery-packs or batteries should be removed, if at all possible.
v. Disposal of battery-packs and batteries must be carried out in accordance with
applicable regulations. Dead batteries do not belong in household waste.

CHARGERS

Risk of injury resulting from electric shock.
Before each use, check the charger, cable and plug. If you find damage, do not use
the charger.

a. Be sure to read all instructions and warning labels on the charger and the battery
casing.
b. Do not expose the charger to rain, snow or moisture. Water entering the charger
increases the risk of electric shock.
c. Reduce the possibility of damage to the plug and the power cord by disconnecting
the plug from the wall outlet always by the plug end (do not pull on the cable).
Make sure the cord is positioned so no one can step on it, trip over it or to prevent other
damage.
d. Never charge the battery in hazardous areas and near to combustibles, or in
flammable environments. Do not operate the charger on an easily flammable
surface (e.g. paper, textiles, etc.).
e. Do not disassemble the charger. If it needs to be replaced or repaired, take it to
an authorised service centre. Unprofessional intervention can result in the risk of
electric shock or fire.
f. Check that the power supply voltage is with conformity required by the charger
manufacturer. The electric circuit must be properly fused. Connect the charger only
on the plug with a protective device to prevent stray current with a rated fault current of
not more than 30 mA.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
• Wear approved eye protection! The operation of machine can result in foreign objects being
thrown into your eyes which may result in severe eye damage. Normal glasses are not sufficient
for eye protection. For example, corrective glasses or sunglasses do not provide adequate
protection because they have not special safety glass and aren’t enough closed from the sides.
• Wear adequate noise protection equipment! The impact of noise can cause hearing damage
or hearing loss. Take frequent work breaks. Limit the amount of exposure per day.
• Always wear long trousers when working. Do not use the machine when barefoot or if you
have open-toe shoes. Always wear sturdy non-slip boots. There is a risk of foot injury or
slipping on wet or slippery surfaces. Sturdy non-slip boots. These boots provide protection
against injuries and ensure a firm stance. Wear protective gloves.
• Safety equipment such as a dust mask or hard hat used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
PERSONAL PROTECTION AND FIRST AID
Note:I Note - we recommend always having:
• A suitable fire extinguisher (snow, powder, halotron) at your disposal.
• A fully equipped first-aid kit, easily accessible for accompaniment and operator.
• Mobile phone or other device for quickly calling emergency services.
• Accompaniment familiar with the principles of first aid.
CAccompaniment must keep a safe distance from the workplace while always seeing you!
• Always follow the principles of first aid in case of any injuries.
• If there is a cut, cover the wound with a clean bandage (fabric) and press down firmly to
stop the bleeding.
• If the skin is burnt, avoid further exposure to the source of burns first. Cool the injured areas
of smaller extend with water of preferably about 4-8 °C. Do not put ointments, creams or
dusting powders on the affected area. The best way is to use a wet compress, for example
a handkerchief or a towel. Then secure the sterile cover and, if necessary, seek medical attention.

• If persons with circulatory problems are often exposed to excessive vibration, they may
experience injury to blood vessels or their nervous system. The vibrations may cause
the following symptoms appear on fingers, hands or wrists: numbness, itching, pain, tingling,
changes in skin colour or of the skin itself. If any of these symptoms occur, consult a doctor.
IN CASE OF FIRE:
• If the motor starts to burn or it the smoke appears from it, turn the product off and move
away to safety.
• To extinguish the fire, use suitable fire extinguisher (froth extinguishing, snow, powder,
halotron).
• DO NOT PANIC. Panic can cause even more damage.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even if the product is used according to instructions, it´s impossible to eliminate all
the risks associated with its operation. The following risks may occur arising from
device construction:
Mechanical risks caused, for example, by:
- shape,
- relative position,
- mass and stability (potential energy of parts),
- mass and velocity (kinetic energy of parts),
- inadequate strength,
- accumulation of potential energy:
- elastic parts (springs), or
- liquids or gases under pressure, or
- vacuum parts of the machine or workpiece
• Risk of crushing
• Risk of shearing
• Risk of cutting
• Risk of winding
• Ejection of part (of machinery and processed material/workpiece)
• Loss of stability (of machinery and machine part)
• Risk of slipping, tripping and falling near the machine (due to their mechanical nature)
Electrical risks caused, for example, by:
• Touch (direct or indirect)
• External impacts of electrical equipment
Thermal risks resulting in:
• burns and scalding due to possible contact of persons, flames or explosions and due to
radiation from heat sources
Risks caused by noise resulting in:
• hearing loss (deafness), other physiological disorders (e.g., loss of balance, loss of
consciousness)
• interference of speech transmission, sound signals, etc.
Risks caused by vibration (resulting in neurological and vascular disorders)
Risks caused by materials and substances processed, used or removed by machinery, e.g.:
• risks caused by contact or inhalation of harmful liquids, gases, mists, smoke and dust
• risks caused by fire or explosion

Risks due to negligence of ergonomic principles in machinery design (unsuitable
adaptation to human characteristics and abilities), e.g.:
• unhealthy posture or excessive overload
• disproportionate to the anatomy of a person's hands or feet
• by neglecting the use of personal protective equipment
• human error.
Risks due to power outage, machine part breakage or other malfunctions, e.g.:
• failure, malfunction of control system (self-starting, unexpected overspeed)
• clamping errors
• overturning, unexpected loss of stability
Risks due to (temporarily) missing and/or incorrectly placed guards/protective devices, e.g.:
• all types of guards
• all types of appropriate (protective) devices
• start and stop devices
• safety signs and signals
• any kind of information or warning device
• basic equipment and accessories for safe adjustment and/or maintenance
Risks due to sudden movement, instability, etc.
Inappropriate/non-ergonomic design of control/driver position
• risks due to hazardous surroundings (contact of moving parts, exhaust gases, etc.)
• improper/non-ergonomic design/layout of controls
• starting/moving the machine
• movement of pedestrian-controlled machines
UNPACKING
• Carefully check all parts after dismantling the transport box.
• Do not throw away packaging materials until you have not reviewed carefully if they did not
remain a part of the product.
• Parts of the packaging (plastic bags, paper clips, etc.) do not leave within reach of children,
could be a possible source of danger. There is a danger of swallowing or suffocating!
• If you notice transport damage or while unpacking, notify your supplier immediately. Do not
operate the product!
• We recommend save the package for future use. The packaging materials must still be
recycled or disposed of in compliance with the relevant legislation. Sort different parts of
the packaging according to material and hand it to the appropriate collection sites. For
further information contact your local administration.

ASSEMBLY
CThe individual parts must be assembled before using the tiller.
Follow the instructions in the figures.
1. Slide the coulters onto the shaft with their blade pointed forward and secure with cotter
pins (if not installed). (fig. 3)
2. Place the handle and counterpart (holder) on the top tube and secure with two screws.
(fig. 4)
3. Push the two tube pieces together (top and bottom) and connect them with a threaded
connector. Observe alignment when inserting. Do not push too hard as this may damage
the connector inside the tubes. (fig. 5)
4. Insert the battery. (fig. 6)
• The machine is ready for operation.
TO INSTALL AND TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK
1. With a slight pressure push the battery (fig. 6) into the battery holder up to the stop until
the battery sits firmly on the contact plug of the tool.
2. Do not use force when inserting the battery pack. If the battery does not slide in easily, it is
not being inserted correctly.
3. Make sure the latches on battery pack snap in place and battery pack is secured before
beginning operation.
4. To remove the battery pack press and hold the battery latch button (fig. 7).
5. Remove battery pack from the holder.
RECHARGING THE LI-ION BATTERY PACK
CThe supplied battery is only partially charged. Before initial use, fully charge battery.
After the first charge, we recommend fully discharging the battery and the full charge/
discharge process to be repeated once or twice to “format” the battery pack. Perform this
charge as soon as possible after the battery has been discharged and cooled.
To ensure long life of the battery, it must be maintained carefully.
• The battery must be recharged:
- before using the machine for the first time after purchase;
- often, during use/season, usually after using the machine
- before leaving the machine disused for a long period;
- during long-term storage
- before starting up the machine after a long period of disuse.
• The discharged battery must be recharged as soon as possible. Let a hot battery cartridge
cool down before charging it.
• Recharge the accumulators in time, before they are discharged fully, otherwise
the accumulators can be damaged permanently (irreversibly). It is ideal to recharge
the battery after each consumption.
• The lithium-ion battery can be charged in any state of charge, and the charging process can
be interrupted at any time without harming the battery (no memory effect).
• An unused battery loses capacity faster than a battery which is being used.
