Important Safety Precautions
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR HAND MIXER.
2. Do not twist the power cord or wrap it around the appliance, as this may cause the insulation to weaken or
come apart.
3. To avoid any risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the cord or plug into water or other liquids.
4. Close supervision is necessary when using this appliance near children, or the infirm.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands, hair, clothing, spatulas, and other utensils away during
operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons and/or damage to the device.
6. Do not operate this appliance if the cord or plug is damaged or if it malfunctions. If there is any damage of
any sort, send the unit to the nearest authorized service center for examination, repair or adjustment.
(ONLY technicians should open up the unit.)
7. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Do not let it touch any hot surfaces.
8. Do not leave this appliance unattended once powered on.
9. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.
10. Do not use this device in the immediate vicinity of bathtubs, washbowls, swimming pools, or other bodies
of water where the likelihood of immersion exists.
11. Only connect this appliance to a power source with the same voltage, frequency and rating as listed on
the device.
12. When not in use, or when cleaning or assembling your device, make sure to disconnect the power cable.
When unplugging, do not yank on the cable, but instead pull the plug.
13. The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause
injuries.
14. This appliance is for household use only. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.

Other Important Safety Notes
1. After an extended period of continuous use, allow a few minutes of rest before the next use.
2. The mixer is factory lubricated and requires no further lubrication.
3. Other than cleaning, no additional maintenance or servicing of the appliance is required. Repairs when
necessary must be performed by an authorized service technician.
4. If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be returned for replacement to a qualified technician in order to
avoid a hazard.
5. Switch off the appliance before fitting or removing the beaters.
Polarized Plug
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

A Quick Look at Your Device

Using Your Hand Mixer
In order to get the best results when using your hand mixer, please follow the steps below:
1. Before using your mixer, clean the beaters and dough hooks in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry
thoroughly before using the hand mixer.
CAUTION: DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR HOUSING IN ANY LIQUID. CLEAN THE MOTOR HOUSING
WITH A DAMP CLOTH.
2. Before assembly, ensure that the unit is not plugged into a power socket. Insert the beaters or dough hooks
into the openings in the bottom of the motor housing. Press and rotate the beaters or dough hooks slightly to
make sure that they are locked in place. You will feel a click once the beaters or dough hooks are engaged.
3. Put ingredients into a bowl.
4. Plug in your mixer and select the desired speed.
5. Lower the beaters or dough hooks into the ingredients.
Note: It is recommended that you keep the switch at one speed for a few seconds before changing to another
speed.
CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE APPLIANCE CONTINUOUSLY RUN FOR MORE THAN 3 MINUTES. AFTER 3
MINUTES OF USE, LET THE MOTOR COOL DOWN FOR 10 MINUTES THEN USE IT AGAIN.
6. If you need to scrape down the sides of the bowl during mixing, slide the Speed Control Switch to the “OFF”
position before using a hand held scraper.

7. When mixing is complete, switch off and unplug the unit. Once it is unplugged you can manually pull out the
beaters or dough hooks.
CAUTION: NEVER ATTEMPT TO PULL OUT THE BEATERS or DOUGH HOOKS WITHOUT POWERING
OFF AND UNPLUGGING THE UNIT.
Speed Selection Guide
You can adjust the speed control switch in order to decrease or increase the speed at which the beaters rotate
when preparing your meal. See below for more information on each speed and its function.
Speed 1: For Stirring
Use when stirring liquid ingredients or when mixing dry and liquid ingredients together alternately in a recipe.
Use when preparing any pre-prepared or packaged instant puddings.
Speed 2: For Mixing
Use when a recipe calls for combining ingredients together. Use for quick breads or muffins or making sauces
that require a brisk action, just enough to blend.
Speed 3: For Blending
Use when preparing cake mixes or for directions calling for medium speeds. Use to cream butter and sugar
together.
Speed 4: For Beating
Use when preparing a frosting from a recipe or a package. Use when whipping cream for desserts and making
smooth batters.
Speed 5: For Whipping
Use to mash potatoes in order to develop a light and fluffy texture. Use when whipping egg whites.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Other than the cleaning methods mentioned in this manual, no other servicing or maintenance of your device
should be required. Repairs, if necessary, must be performed by an authorized service center.
Caution: Do not immerse the body of the mixer, its cord or its plug in water or any other liquid.
Before cleaning, when you are finished using your appliance, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. In
order to prevent food residue buildup, clean your hand mixer after each use.
Clean the body of the hand mixer with a damp cloth. To remove stubborn spots, wipe surfaces with a cloth
moistened in soapy water of a mild non-abrasive cleaner, and then dry thoroughly. Do not use solvents or
harsh abrasives as these will damage the body of the mixer. Additionally, if they penetrate the body of the
appliance it may cause a hazard.
To clean the beaters and dough hooks, first remove them from the body of the hand mixer. This can be done
by pressing the eject button located on the top of the hand mixer. Beaters and dough hooks can be washed in
hot soapy water, then rinsed using tap water and dried.
When it is not in use, store the body of the hand mixer in a clean, dry location such as a cabinet or a shelf.
Store the beaters and dough hooks in a drawer.
