How to keep cooked rice warm and tasty?
• Keeping cooked rice warm or using the ‘Keep
Warm’ function for more than 5 hours may cause
discolouration or generate an objectionable
odour. The sooner rice is served, the better it will
taste.
• There is a minimum quantity of rice to keep
warm. When using the keep warm cycle, be sure
you have at least 4 bowls full or 6 bowls full of
cooked rice in the pan.
• To prevent a dry, discoloured effect and objection-
able odour of the cooked rice, keep the outer lid
perfectly closed after serving rice.
• Do not leave the rice scoop or other utensils in
the pan during the keep warm cycle.
• Do not use the keep warm feature to reheat left-
over cold rice.
Precautions
• Always keep the bottom of the pan clean and dry.
Any residues between the bottom of the pan and
the heater will cause the cooker to malfunction.
• Do not attempt to press the switch by force if the
switch button cannot be pressed in the cooking
position. The switch normally remains in that po-
sition when the pan is not in the cooker or just
after cooking has been completed.
• The appliance should be placed on a stable sur-
face. Do not expose to water, steam or direct heat.
• Do not cover the lid with anything when the rice
cooker is in use.
• Do not use the pan directly on open fire.
• Do not immerse the cooker in water and avoid
putting the cooker near fire.
