1. Uso previsto
OXYMO P-15 y OXYMO P-15 MICRO, son reguladores de oxígeno medicinal de baja presión, para ser usados
exclusivamente con el dispositivo de liberación de oxígeno a demanda OXYMO.
CONTRAINDICACIONES : Ninguna conocida.
2. Advertencias y precauciones
Utilice este aparato exclusivamente para la aplicación para la que fue diseñado
No fume, y permanezca alejado de cualquier llama o foco de calor, mientras utiliza el equipo o se
encuentra cerca de alguien que lo utilice.
Mantenga alejada del equipo cualquier sustancia susceptible de ser inflamable, como lubricantes,
derivados del petróleo, alcoholes, aerosoles, etc.
Evite que el equipo sea manipulado por personas no autorizadas o sin la debida formación
Las leyes federales de EEUU restringen estos aparatos a ser vendidos por o bajo prescripción de un
médico.
El equipo, componentes y accesorios deben ser desechados conforme a la legislación vigente.
3. Instrucciones de uso (Fig.1 y Fig. 2)
Para que el suministro de oxígeno que OXYMO necesita sea el adecuado, siga las siguientes instrucciones:
•Conectar el equipo a una fuente de presión de entre 2.8 y 7 bar, mediante la conexión de entrada (2) o (11),
según proceda.
La válvula de la fuente de presión, y la conexión de entrada del regulador, deben ser del mismo tipo.
Consultar los diferentes tipos disponibles (ver Fig. 5).
El regulador, debe ser conectado a una fuente de presión.
Asegúrese de NO conectarlo a una salida de flujo.
•Introducir el conector (5) de la manguera en espiral (4) suministrada con el equipo OXYMO (7), en la válvula
de salida (3) o (12) del regulador, según proceda.
•Conectar la válvula (6) de la manguera, a la conexión de entrada (8) del OXYMO (7)
* Nota 1.
En el caso del regulador OXYMO P-15 (1), se puede colgar en él el OXYMO (7), mediante el soporte (9) (Ver Fig. 3).
* Nota 2.
En caso de no poder utilizar el equipo OXYMO (7), se pueden utilizar los reguladores OXYMO P-15 (1) y OXYMO P-
15 MICRO (10) para suministrar un flujo continuo de 3 L/min mediante el adaptador (13) (Ver Fig. 4) al cual se
conecta directamente la gafa nasal.
* Nota 3
Si se activa en el OXYMO la alarma por baja presión de suministro (ver cap. 7.2 del manual de usuario del
OXYMO), comprobar que no existe un fallo en el suministro de oxígeno, y que la conexión entre el regulador, la
fuente de presión y el OXYMO es la correcta.
Si el problema persiste, realizar el test de funcionamiento (ver a continuación)
4. Test de funcionamiento
a) Comprobar con un manómetro, que la presión a la salida del regulador, cuando el flujo es “0”, coincide con la
que se indica en la tabla de especificaciones técnicas.
b) Comprobar que el flujo máximo que es capaz de dar el regulador es superior al indicado en la tabla de
especificaciones técnicas.
5. Mantenimiento
-El equipo no requiere un mantenimiento específico.
-Se recomienda al menos una revisión del equipo cada 5 años.
-Las reparaciones deben ser realizadas por HERSILL o personal autorizado.

1. Purpose. Intended use
OXYMO P-15 and P-15 MICRO, are low pressure regulators for medical oxygen, and should be exclusively used
with the demand oxygen delivery system OXYMO
CONTRAINDICATIONS : None known
2. Cautions and warnings
Use this equipment only for the purpose for which it was designed
Do not smoke, and stay away from any flame or heat source, while using the device or you are close
to someone who uses it.
Keep away from the device every substance that can be flammable, as lubricants, petroleum
products, alcohols, aerosols, etc
Prevent the device can be manipulated by unauthorized or untrained persons
Federal laws in USA restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician (CFR 21 801.109.
Disposal of device, components and accessories must strictly conform to local laws and regulations.
3. Operating instructions (Fig.1 y Fig. 2)
For the oxygen supply what OXYMO need is right, follow the instructions below:
•Connect the equipment to a source of pressure between 2.8 and 7 bar, with the inlet (2) or (11), as
appropriate
The valve of the pressure source and the inlet of the regulator must be of the same type. Consult the
different types available (see Fig. 5)
The regulator must be connected to a pressure source.
Be sure NOT to connect to an outflow
•Introducing connector (5) of the spiral hose (4) provided with the OXYMO equipment (7), the outlet valve (3)
or (12) of the regulator, as appropriate.
•Connecting the valve (6) of the hose, to the inlet (8) of OXYMO (7)
* Note 1.
In the case of the OXYMO P-15 regulator (1), you can hang it on OXYMO (7) through the support (9) (see Fig. 3)
* Note 2.
In case of failure of the OXYMO (7), you can use the regulators OXYMO P-15 (1) and OXYMO P-15 MICRO (10) for
supplying a continuous flow of 3 L/min with the adapter (13) (See Fig. 4), which is connected directly to the nasal
cannula.
* Note 3
In the OXYMO, if the alarm for low supply pressure is activated (see chap. 8.2, OXYMO user manual), verify that
there is not a fault in the oxygen supply, and that the connection between regulator, the pressure source and the
OXYMO is correct.
If the problem persists, perform the function test (see below)
4. Function test
a) Check with a manometer, if the pressure in the regulator outlet, when the flow is "0", it agree with that
indicated in the table of technical specifications.
b) Check that the maximum flow is able to give the regulator is higher than indicated in the table of
technical specifications.
5. Maintenance
-The equipment does not require a specific maintenance
-It is recommended to check the device at least once every five years.
-Repairs must be performed by HERSILL or authorized personnel.
