TravelstarZ7K320isthefourthgenerationtofeatureoptionalBulkDataEncryption(BDE)
forhard-drive-leveldatasecurity.WithBDE,thedataisscrambledusingakeyasitiswritten
tothedisk,thendescrambledwiththekeyasitisretrieved,givingusersthehighestlevel
ofdataprotectionavailable.Italsospeedsandsimpliesthedrivere-deploymentprocess.
Bydeletingtheencryptionkey,thedataonthedriveisrenderedunreadable,thereby
eliminatingtheneedfortime-consumingdata-overwrite.Forinformationabouttheself-
encryptingdrivesdesignedtotheTrustedComputingGroup(TCG)OpalStorageSecurity
specication,pleasecontactyourHGSTrepresentative.
