electricalwiringconnectionwithoutreferringtotheinstallationmanual.Iftheinstructionsarenotfollowed,

●Usethespeciednon-ammablerefrigerant(R410A)fortheoutdoorunitintherefrigerantcycle.
ChargeonlyR410Aintotheunit.Donotchargeothermaterialsintotheunitsuchashydrocarbon
refrigerants(propane),oxygen,ammablegases(acetylene)orpoisonousgaseswheninstalling,
maintainingandmovingtheunit.Theseflammablesareextremelydangerousandmaycausean
explosion,afire,orinjury.Asoriginallymanufactured,thisunitcontainsrefrigerantinstalledbyHisense/
HITACHI. Hisense/HITACHIusesonlyrefrigerantsthathavebeenapprovedforuseintheunit’sintended
countryormarket. Hisense/HITACHI’distributorssimilarlyareonlyauthorizedtoproviderefrigerantsthat
havebeenapprovedforuse inthecountriesormarketstheyserve.Therefrigerantusedinthisunitis
identifiedontheunit’sfaceplate and/orintheassociatedmanuals.Anyadditionsofrefrigerantintothis
unitmustcomplywiththecountry’s requirementswithregardtorefrigerantuseandshouldbeobtained

● Ifthecircuitbreakerorfuseisoftenactivated,stopthesystemandcontactyourservicecontractor.
● Checkthatthegroundwiringissecurelyconnected.Iftheunitisnotcorrectlygrounded,itmaycause
electricshock.Donotconnectthegroundwiringtogaspiping,condensatepiping,lightingconductoror
groundwiringfortelephones.
● Beforeperforminganybrazingwork,checktoensurethatthereisnoammablematerialaround.
Whenusingrefrigerant,besuretowearleatherglovestopreventinjuryfromcold.
● Insulateelectricalwiring,condensatepiping,andelectricalcomponentsfromthreatsposedbyburrowing
animalsandtemperatureextremes.Failuretodosocan,overtime,deterioratesystemperformance.
● Securethecables.Externalforcesontheterminalscouldleadtoare.
● Tightenthearenutwithatorquewrenchinthespeciedmanner.Donotapplyexcessiveforcetothe
arenutwhentightening.Ifyoudo,thearenutcancrackandrefrigerantleakagemayoccur.
● Whenmaintaining,relocatingordisposingoftheunit,dismantletherefrigerantpipingafterthecompressor
stops.
● Highlydangerouselectricalvoltagesareusedinthissystem.Carefullyrefertothewiringdiagramand
theseinstructionswhenwiring.Improperconnectionsandinadequategroundingcancauseseriousinjury
ordeath.
● Performallelectricalworkinstrictaccordancewiththisinstallationandmaintenancemanualandall
relevantregulatorystandards.
● Usespeciedcablesbetweenunits.
● Besuretoinstallcircuitbreakers(groundfaultinterrupter,isolatingswitch,moldedcasecircuitbreaker
andsoon),withthespeciedcapacity.Ensurethatthewiringterminalsaretightenedsecurelyto
recommendedtorquespecications.Ifacircuitbreakerorfuseisfrequentlyactivated,shutdownthe
systemandcontactyourservicecontractor.
● Clampelectricalwiressecurelywithacableclampafterallwiringisconnectedtotheterminalblock.
Inaddition,runwiressecurelythroughthewiringaccesschannel.
● Wheninstallingthepowerlines,donotapplytensiontothecables.Securethesuspendedcablesat
regularintervals,butnottootightly.
● Afterstoppingoperation,besuretowaitatleastveminutesbeforeturningoffthemainpowerswitch.
Otherwise,waterleakageorelectricalbreakdownmayresult.Disconnectthepowersupplycompletely
beforeattemptinganymaintenanceforelectricalparts.Checktoensurethatnoresidualvoltageispresent
afterdisconnectingthepowersupply.
● Insulatetherefrigerantpipeconnectiontopreventcondensation.
● Besuretoattachthecoversothatittssecurelyontheelectricalboxwithoutanygaps.Securethecover
withscrews.

Dependingontheinstallationspace,changingthelocationoftheelectricalboxisavailable.
Whenchangingthelocationoftheelectricalbox,followtheproceduresbelow:
(1) Removetheservicecoverfortheelectricalbox.
(2) Removetheservicecoverfortheelectronicexpansionvalve.
(3) Removetheelectricalbox.
(4) Removethewiringfromthewireclipandedgesaddle,andmovetheelectricalbox.
Aftermovingtheelectricalbox,putthewiringintotheedgesaddleandboundwiththewireclip.

(5) Mounttheelectricalbox.
(6) Rotatetheservicecoverfortheelectronicexpansionvalve180degreesandmountit.
(7) Mounttheservicecoverfortheelectricalbox.

water.

malfunctionmayoccur.
(e) Tightenthenutsofthesuspension
boltwiththesuspensionbracketafter
adjustmentiscompleted.
Adhesivemustbeappliedtothenutsin
ordertopreventthemfromloosening.
