SOME DO’S AND DON'TS ON THE SAFE USE OF EQUIPMENT
This equipment has been designed and manufactured to meet international safety standards but,
like any electrical equipment, care must be taken if you are to obtain the best results and safety is to
be assured.

DO read the operating instructions before you attempt to use the equipment.
DO ensure that all electrical connections (including the mains plug, extension leads and inter-
connections between the pieces of equipment) are properly made and in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions. Switch off and withdraw the mains plug before making or changing
connections.
DO consult your dealer if you are ever in doubt about the installation, operation or safety of your
equipment.

DON'T remove any fixed cover as this may expose dangerous voltages.
DON'T obstruct the ventilation openings of the equipment with items such as newspapers,
tablecloths, curtains, etc. Overheating will cause damage and shorten the life of the equipment.
DON'T allow electrical equipment to be exposed to dripping. or splashing. Objects filled with
liquids, such as vases, must NOT be placed on the equipment.
DON'T place hot objects or naked flame sources such as lighted candles or nightlights on, or close
to equipment. High temperatures can melt plastic and lead to fires.
DON'T use equipment such as personal stereos or radios so that you are distracted from the
requirements of traffic safety.
DON'T listen to headphones at high volume, as such use can permanently damage your hearing.
DON'T leave equipment switched on when it is unattended .Switch off using the switch on the
equipment and the mains supply. Make sure that your family knows how to do this. Special
arrangements may need to be made for infirm or handicapped people.
DON'T continue to operate the equipment if you are in any doubt about it working normally, or if it is
damaged in any way - switch off, withdraw the mains plug and consult your dealer.

NEVER let anyone especially children push anything into holes, slots or any other opening in the
case - this could result in a fatal electric shock.
NEVER guess or take chances with electrical equipment of any kind…it is better to be safe than
sorry!

Please read this manual carefully before attempting to operate the unit in order to became familiar
with its features.
Important Notes
* Keep the safety and operating instructions for future reference.
* Avoid installing the unit in locations described below:
Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric heaters.
On top of other stereo equipment that radiates heat.
Places lacking ventilation or dusty places.
Places subject to constant vibration.
Humid or moist places.
* Make sure not to obstruct the ventilation openings.
Operate turning controls and switches as instructed in the manual.
* Before turning on the power for the first time, make certain the power cord is properly installed.
* Store your tapes or CD s in a cool area to avoid damage from heat.
To disconnect the product switch off and remove the plug from the mains supply.
* When the unit is disconnected from the mains supply the LED will not light up.

Note:
This unit will become warm when used for a long period of time. This is normal and does not indicate
a problem with the unit.
The CD player includes micro-processors which may malfunction as a result of external electrical
interference or noise. If the CD player is not working properly, disconnect the power source and
then reconnect it.
This symbol on the product or in the instructions means that your electrical and
electronic equipment should be disposed at the end of its life separately from your
household waste. There are separate collection systems for recycling in the EU. For
more information, please contact the local authority or your retailer where you
purchased the product.

STANDBY
1. Press STANDBY button on the unit (or remote) to switch the unit on.
2. Select the sound source (CD, TAPE, AUX IN, or TUNER) by pressing FUNCTION button.
The corresponding display will light up.
3. Adjust the volume with the VOLUME (UP or DOWN) button.
4. Press STANDBY button again to turn unit to standby mode.
To turn the unit off disconnect from the mains supply.Note:
CLOCK SETTING
To set the CLOCK setting in power or standby mode:
1. Press and hold the CLOCK button until the hour digits flash in the display.
2. Press or buttons to set to the correct hour and press the CLOCK button on the
again, the minute digits will flash .Press the or to set to the correct minute. Then press the
clock button again to confirm.

again to confirm.
3. Press the STOP/BAND button to perform the clock setting .
Each menu option above will be cleared, if the button is not pressed within 10 seconds.

RADIO OPERATION
Press the FUNCTION button to select the TUNER mode on the unit (or remote).
1. Press the STOP/BAND button to select wave band range on the display.
2. Select the desired frequency with the buttons.
To tune for weak stations, use manual tuning by pressing buttons continuously until you read
the correct frequency or the reception is at its best.
You can use this function only in FM mode.
1. When you want to select FM stereo station, press the INTRO/MONO/STEREO button.
When you receive a FM stereo station the " " indicator will appear on the display, you can
receive FM stereo transmission .
2. When you press the INTRO/MONO/STEREO button again, the FM STEREO indicator will turn
off &switch to MONO FM status.
1. Press the buttons for a second or more, then release. The tuner will automatically search
the first station of sufficient signal strength.
2. Repeat above procedure if you wish to select another station.

Programming preset stations
Selecting the Preset Stations
Notes:
You can preset stations of your choice and store up to 10 AM and 20 FM stations
in its memory. To store your selected broadcasting stations:
1. Press the STOP/BAND button on the unit (or remote) to select between AM and FM.
2. Tune to the required station.
3. Press the PROG/MEMORY/ERASE button.
4. Press the RANDOM/MEM-DOWN or REPEAT/MEM-UP button for your desired preset number.
5. Press the PROG/MEMORY/ERASE again to confirm your selection.
6. To program more stations into memory, repeat the above steps 2 to 5.
7. To change the stored preset stations, repeat the above steps 2 to 5.
1. Press the STOP/BAND button to select the desired band.
2. Press RANDOM/MEM-DOWN or REPEAT/MEM-UP button to select the desired preset station
number.
3. The numeric location of that preset station is displayed along with the corresponding
frequency.
1. Power off or power failure will erase the previously stored stations. This is not a fault and is
common in similar products.
2. Storing a new station into a preset location will erase the previously stored station.

Press the MENU button then press the buttons to select the TIMER. Press the PLAY/PAUSE to
confirm.

set to your desired hour.
B. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button, the minute digits will flash. Press buttons to set your
desired minute.
C. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button again to confirm.

A. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to enter source setting.
B. Press the buttons to set your desired source.

When the desired timer settings have been selected.
1. Press the TIMER button on the remote “ ”appears on the display.
2. The unit will switch on automatically at “TIMER ON” and start playing.
The unit will switch off automatically when the preset time has elapsed.

Type Of Cassettes
Be sure to tighten any slack tape in the cassette before use. Using either a pencil or a ball-point
pen, simply insert the pen or pencil into the centre of the spool and rotate to remove slackness.
Press the CASS. STOP/EJECT button to open the cassette door.
Insert the cassette into the compartment with the open end facing downwards and full reel on the
left hand side. Push the cassette well down and close the door. Be sure not to touch the tape
surface. Select "TAPE" on the FUNCTION button and press the PLAY button. To stop playback,
press the CASS. STOP/EJECT button once. To release the cassette, press the CASS. STOP/
EJECT button again. Press the CASSETTE F.FWD to fast forward the tape, press the CASSETTE
REWIND button to fast rewind the tape.
Set the FUNCTION button to TUNER select AM or FM on BAND button and press to the desired
broadcast (refer to radio operation section). Insert a cassette into the deck and press the
RECORD button.
Press the CASS. STOP/EJECT button to stop recording. The CASS. PAUSE button can be used to
stop recording for short intervals.
Set the FUNCTION to CD. Select the required tracks to be recorded. Insert a cassette into the
cassette deck and press the CASS. RECORD button.
Press the CASS. STOP / EJECT button to stop recording.
The AUTO STOP system operates while recording from the built-in RADIO or CD player. Only the
cassette function is brought automatically to a stop, the RADIO or CD PLAYER will continue to play.
Use only good quality cassettes (IEC TYPE 1) for making recordings. The use of C120 cassettes is
not recommended in this machine.

Gently clean the tape head and pinch-wheel/capstan assemblies after every 10 hours of use
until all traces of oxide deposit have been removed. A range of cassette care products are
available.
The erase head and record/play head and the surface of the pinch roller are delicate and must
not be touched with metal objects such as screwdrivers. You may find it easier to clean the
assembly by pressing the PLAY button to bring head and pinch roller into view. Be sure to press
the CASS. STOP button after cleaning the mechanism.
Damage to the pinch wheel can occur if the unit is left in PLAY mode with the power switched off.
Under no circumstances should you attempt to lubricate any part of the machine.

IMPORTANT:
Although this CD/MP3 player can read CD-RW discs in addition to normal CDs, the playability
of CD-R and CD-RW discs may be affected by the type of software that was used to create
the discs, as well as the quality and condition of the blank media you are using.100%
playability cannot be guaranteed. This is not a problem with the player.
THIS MODEL HAS A MOTORIZED ELECTRONIC CD DOOR. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN
THE DOOR MANUALLY. THIS COULD DAMAGE THE DOOR OPENING MECHANISM.
A) In the CD mode
This unit can read CD, CD-R, CD-RW.
B) In the MP3 mode
This unit is also able to read :
1. " 8 cm " and " Multi Session " MP3 DISC.
2. "Playback/Transfer Rate of 8-320 kbps".
3. The unit can read up to 500 folders and 999 tracks.
1. When the unit is ON, press the CD button to select CD function. “READING” will be displayed and
then finally “No Disc,” to indicate that there is no disc in the player. (F. 1) (F. 2)
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button once to open the CD door, the display will show “OPEN”.
3. Insert the disc with the printed label side facing up and then press the OPEN/CLOSE button again
to close the CD door. The display will show the total track number and time.
4. If a normal CD is being played, the display will show “CD”. If a MP3 disc is being played, the
display will show “CD/MP3”.(F. 3)(F.4)
5. To start playback from the beginning, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.

1. Press the buttons until the desired track number appears in the display, then press the
PLAY/PAUSE button. Playback will begin from this track.
2. To skip to the next/previous track use the or buttons.

6. To interrupt playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE again, and the elapsed time in the display will flash.
7. To resume playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button again.
8. To stop playback, press the STOP/BAND button. The display will show the total track number and
time.

USB&SD/MMC CARD MP3 PLAYBACK
1. Insert the USB device or SD/MMC CARD.
2. Press FUNCTION button on the unit to select the USB or SD/MMC CARD mode. The unit will
automatically read the total folders and the total number of tracks.(F5)
1. The unit can only MP3 or WMA tracks in this mode .
2. The memory size of the card is not limited.(please note: the unit can’t support some brands
of flash disc, USB harddisk and ipod 40GB.)
3. It can support USB version 1.1 and 2.0.
