Für die Fernbedienung werden zusätzlich zwei 1,5V Batterien AAA benötigt.

Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
■Dieses Gerät ist zum Heizen in Außenbereichen (z. B. Terrassen) bestimmt.
■Das Gerät ist nicht für den Innenbereich geeignet.
■Das Gerät ist nicht als Heizung bei der Aufzucht von Tieren geeignet.
■Dieses Gerät ist für den gelegentlichen Gebrauch und nicht für Dauerbe-
trieb geeignet.
■Das Gerät ist für den privaten Gebrauch, nicht für eine gewerbliche Nutzung
bestimmt.
■Das Gerät nur für den angegebenen Zweck und nur wie in der Gebrauchsanlei-
tung beschrieben nutzen. Jede weitere Verwendung gilt als bestimmungswidrig.
■Von der Gewährleistung ausgeschlossen sind alle Mängel, die durch unsachge-
mäße Behandlung, Beschädigung oder Reparaturversuche entstehen. Dies gilt
auch für den normalen Verschleiß.

verlassen können, es sei denn, eine ständige Überwachung

■Dieses Gerät kann von Personen mit reduzierten physischen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an
Erfahrung und/ oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beauf-
sichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes
unterwiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren
verstanden haben, vorausgesetzt, dass das Gerät in seiner
normalen Gebrauchslage platziert oder installiert ist.
■Kinder jünger als 3 Jahre sind vom Gerät fernzuhalten; es sei

■Das Gerät vollständig abkühlen lassen, bevor es gereinigt
oder verstaut wird.
■Keine Veränderungen am Gerät vornehmen. Auch die An-
schlussleitung nicht selbst austauschen. Wenn das Gerät oder
seine Anschlussleitung beschädigt sind, müssen diese durch
den Hersteller, Kundenservice oder eine Fachwerkstatt repa-
riert oder ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
GEFAHR – Stromschlaggefahr
■Das Gerät und die Anschlussleitung niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten
eintauchen und sicherstellen, dass diese nicht ins Wasser fallen oder nass werden
können. Das Gerät ist lediglich spritzwassergeschützt.
■Sollte das Gerät ins Wasser fallen, während es an das Stromnetz angeschlossen
ist, sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen! Erst danach das Gerät aus
dem Wasser holen. Vor erneuter Inbetriebnahme in einer Fachwerkstatt überprü-
fen lassen.
■Das Gerät und die Anschlussleitung niemals mit feuchten Händen berühren, wenn
das Gerät an das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.

WARNUNG – Brandgefahr
■Nicht in der Nähe von leicht entflammbaren Substanzen (z. B. Benzin, Gas, Lack)
und Materialien benutzen.
■Das Gerät nur benutzen, wenn es an seinem Standbein angebracht ist. Niemals
direkt auf den Boden oder andere Untergründe legen! Die Hitze könnte einen Ma-
terialschaden oder einen Brand verursachen.
■Das Gerät nicht zusammen mit anderen Verbrauchern mit hoher Wattleistung an
einen Stromkreis anschließen, um eine Überlastung und ggf. einen Kurzschluss
(Brand) zu vermeiden. Sicherstellen, dass der Stromkreis für die Leistung des
Gerätes ausgelegt ist.
■Keine Mehrfachsteckdosen, Verlängerungskabel über 3 m Länge und Kabeltrom-
meln verwenden.
■Das Gerät von Vorhängen, Einrichtungsgegenständen, Pflanzen, Ästen sowie
sonstigen brennbaren Materialien fernhalten und es nicht auf diese ausrichten.
Mindestens 1,5 m Abstand von der Heizfläche halten.
■Keine Gegenstände auf das Gerät legen, wenn es eingeschaltet ist.
■Das Gerät nicht zum Trocknen von Wäsche benutzen.
■Im Brandfall: Nicht mit Wasser löschen! Flammen mit einer feuerfesten Decke
oder einem geeigneten Feuerlöscher ersticken.
WARNUNG – Verletzungsgefahr
■Kinder und Tiere von Verpackungsmaterial fernhalten. Es besteht Erstickungs-
gefahr.
■Sicherstellen, dass die Anschlussleitung stets außer Reichweite von Kleinkindern
und Tieren ist. Es besteht Strangulationsgefahr.
■Die Anschlussleitung so verlegen, dass sie keine Stolpergefahr darstellt.
■Den Strahler nicht auf Tiere oder Pflanzen richten.
HINWEIS – Risiko von Material- und Sachschäden
■Das Gerät wettergeschützt aufstellen.
■Das Gerät nur in geschlossenen Räumen lagern.
■Das Gerät nicht in Räumen mit hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit benutzen und lagern. Vor
lang anhaltender Feuchtigkeit schützen.
■Das Gerät immer zuerst ausschalten, bevor der Netzstecker aus der Steckdose
gezogen wird.
■Vor einem Gewitter, den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
■Das Gerät niemals am Netzkabel ziehen oder tragen. Beim Herausziehen aus der
Steckdose immer am Netzstecker und nie am Netzkabel ziehen!
■Die Anschlussleitung so verlegen, dass sie nicht gequetscht oder geknickt wird
und nicht mit heißen Flächen in Berührung kommt.
■Das Gerät keinen Stößen aussetzen.
■Das Gerät vor Feuer, anderen Wärmequellen und Minustemperaturen schützen.
■Nur Original-Zubehörteile des Herstellers verwenden, um die Funktionsweise des
Gerätes nicht zu beeinträchtigen und eventuelle Schäden zu verhindern.
■Keine schweren Gegenstände auf das Gerät sowie die Anschlussleitung legen
oder stellen.

Montage
BEACHTE!
■Der Mindestabstand des Heizstrahlers zur Decke muss 30cm, zum Bo-
den 180 cm und zu den übrigen Seiten 100 cm betragen, um einen aus-
reichenden Abstand von Personen, Tieren, Pflanzen und Gegenständen zum
Gerät zu gewährleisten und Verbrennungen zu vermeiden.
Du benötigst zusätzlich einen Kreuzschlitzschraubendreher sowie einen Maul-
schlüssel für die M6-Muttern.
1. Befestige die untere Stange (12) am Standfuß (8) (Bild C). Stecke hierzu die
M6x 35 mm-Schrauben (4) von oben durch die Bohrungen der Stange sowie
des Standfußes und verschraube sie auf der Unterseite des Standfußes mit den
M6-Muttern. Du benötigst dazu den kleinen Innensechskantschlüssel und einen
Maulschlüssel.
2. Stecke die Abdeckung(11) auf die Stange (BildC).
3. Schiebe die Anschlussleitung(7) von unten durch den Standfuß, die untere Stan-
ge und die Mittelstange(10). Schraube die Mittelstange auf die untere Stange
(BildD).
4. Ziehe die Anschlussleitung durch die obere Stange(13). Schraube diese dann auf
die Mittelstange (BildE).
5. Verbinde den Stecker des Heizstrahlers(1) mit der Buchse an der Anschlusslei-
tung (BildF). Dazu musst du die Halterung am Stecker aufklappen (beide Rastna-
sen drücken) und nach dem Zusammenstecken von Stecker und Buchse wieder
zuklappen.
6. Schiebe die Anschlussleitung zurück in die obere Stange und schraube den Bügel
des Heizstrahlers mit zwei M 8x10mm-Schrauben(2) an der oberen Stange fest
(BildF).
7. Kippe das Gerät vorsichtig und lege die Anschlussleitung auf der Unterseite des
Standfußes in die Kabelführung ein (BildG). Fixiere die Anschlussleitung mit dem
Bügel und zwei M3,5x16mm-Schrauben(5).
8. Stelle das Gerät am einem Ort mit viel Freiraum zu allen Seiten auf (BildH).
9. Für einen sicheren Stand des Gerätes kannst den Standfuß am Boden (BildI)
befestigen. Verwende dazu die drei Halterungen (9) sowie die Metalldübel
M6x 50 mm mit Unterlegscheiben und Muttern(3).
Batterien in die Fernbedienung einlegen
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch lege zwei 1,5V Batterien AAA in die Fernbedienung ein.
Diese sind nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten.
1. Auf der Rückseite der Fernbedienung(6) befindet sich die Batteriefachabdeckung.
Nimm diese ab.
2. Prüfe, ob die Kontakte im Batteriefach und an den Batterien sauber sind. Wenn
nicht, reinige sie.
3. Lege zwei Batterien in das Batteriefach ein. Achte dabei auf die Polarität (+/–).
4. Setze Batteriefachabdeckung wieder in die Fernbedienung ein.
Wechsle die Batterien bei nachlassender Leistung der Fernbedienung.

Benutzung
BEACHTE!
■Das Gerät erst dann einschalten, wenn es ordnungsgemäß montiert ist.
■Das Gerät nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Steckdose, die mit den
technischen Daten des Gerätes übereinstimmt, anschließen. Die Steckdose
muss auch nach dem Anschließen gut zugänglich sein, damit die Netzverbin-
dung schnell getrennt werden kann.
■Das Gerät immer mit dem Hauptschalter0/I ausschalten (Position 0), wenn es
nicht gebraucht wird.
■Bei Schäden / Störungen das Gerät sofort ausschalten und den Netzstecker
aus der Steckdose ziehen.
■Den Heizstrahler niemals berühren, wenn er eingeschaltet ist. Er muss ausge-
schaltet und abgekühlt sein (ca. 15Minuten nach dem Aussschalten), wenn der
Neigungswinkel eingestellt wird. Es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr.
■Das Gerät vor dem Schlafengehen ausschalten. Es darf nicht ohne Aufsicht
eingeschaltet sein, um im Falle von Störungen sofort eingreifen zu können.
■Aus Sicherheitsgründen lässt sich der Heizstrahler nicht einschalten, wenn er
nach oben gerichtet ist.
■Das Gerät verfügt über eine Sicherheitsabschaltung, die es ausschaltet, wenn
das Gerät umfällt.
1. Stelle vor dem Einschalten den Neigungswinkel des Heizstrahlers (1) ein. Löse
dazu die Feststellschrauben und drehe sie nach dem Einstellen wieder fest
(BildB). Benutze dazu den großen Innensechskantschlüssel. Verstelle den Nei-
gungswinkel niemals, wenn die Feststellschrauben festgezogen sind! Rich-
te den Heizstrahler nicht nach oben!
2. Stecke den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose.
3. Kippe den Hauptschalter0 /I am Heizstrahler auf PositionI.
4. Bediene das Gerät entweder mit den Steuertaste am Heizstrahler oder der
Fernbedienung(6):
–Drücke mehrfach die Steuertaste am Heizstrahler, um das Gerät einzuschal-
ten, die Heizstufe zu erhöhen und das Gerät wieder auszuschalten. Es gibt 3 Heiz-
stufen.
–Mit der Fernbedienung schaltest du das Gerät über die Taste ein und wieder
aus.
–Die Fernbedienung hat für jede Heizstufe eine eigene Taste:
Stufe 1, Stufe 2, Stufe 3
Drücke eine der Tasten.
5. Stelle den Hauptschalter0/ I nach dem Gebrauch des Gerätes auf Position0.

Reinigung und Lagerung
BEACHTE!
■Das Gerät vor jeder Reinigung abkühlen lassen.
■Zum Reinigen nicht Alkohol oder sonstige ätzende bzw. scheuernde Reiniger
oder raue Schwämme verwenden. Diese können die Oberflächen beschädigen.
• Staube das Gerät regelmäßig ab.
• Wische das Gerät bei Bedarf mit einem feuchten Tuch ab. Für hartnäckige Ver-
schmutzungen kannst auch ein mildes Reinigungsmittel verwenden. Lasse das
Gerät anschließend vollständig trocknen.
• Soll das Gerät längere Zeit nicht verwendet werden, lagere es vor Staub geschützt,
kühl und trocken außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern und Tieren.
Problembehebung
Sollte das Gerät nicht ordnungsgemäß funktionieren, überprüfe, ob ein Problem
selbst behoben werden kann. Lässt sich mit den nachfolgenden Schritten das Prob-
lem nicht lösen, kontaktiere den Kundenservice.
Versuche nicht, ein elektrisches Gerät selbst zu reparieren!
Störung Ursache Abhilfe

Probiere eine andere Steck-
dose.
Es ist keine Netzspannung
vorhanden.
Überprüfe die Sicherung des
elektrischen Verteilers (Siche-
rungskasten).
Die Sicherung im

wurde ausgelöst.

■This device is intended to be used to heat outdoor areas (e.g. patios).
■The device is not suitable for use indoors.

■Use the device only for the intended purpose and as described in the operating

external timer or a separate remote control system.

cleaning it.
■Allow the device to cool down completely before it is cleaned

place the connecting cable yourself. If the device or its connect-

the manufacturer, customer service department or a specialist

DANGER – Danger of Electric Shock
■Never immerse the device and the connecting cable in water or other liquids and
ensure that these components cannot fall into water or become wet. The device is
only splashproof.
■If the device falls into water while it is connected to the mains power, pull the mains
plug out of the plug socket immediately! Only after this should you retrieve the de-
vice from the water. Have it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.
■Never touch the device and the connecting cable with wet hands when the device
is connected to the mains power.
WARNING – Danger of Fire
■Do not use the device in the vicinity of highly flammable substances (e.g. petrol,
gas, paint).
■Only use the device if it is on its supporting leg. Never place it directly on the floor or
other surfaces! The heat could cause material damage or a fire.
■Do not connect the device along with other consumers with a high wattage to a
circuit in order to prevent overloading and a possible short circuit (fire). Make sure
that the circuit is designed to handle the power of the device.
■Do not use any multiple sockets, extension cables more than 3m long or cable
extension reels.
■Keep the device away from curtains, furnishings, plants, branches and other com-
bustible materials and do not direct it towards them. Maintain a gap of at least 1.5 m
from the heating surface.
■Do not place any objects on the device when it is switched on.

■Do not use the device for drying laundry.
■In the event of a fire: Do not extinguish with water! Smother the flames with a fire-
proof blanket or a suitable fire extinguisher.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation.
■Make sure that the connecting cable is always kept out of the reach of small children
and animals. There is a danger of strangulation.
■Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not present a trip hazard.
■Do not aim the heater at animals or plants.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
■Set up the device so it is protected from the weather.
■Store the device only in closed rooms.
■Do not use and store the device in rooms with high humidity. Protect the device from
persistent moisture.
■Always switch off the device first before the mains plug is pulled out of the plug
socket.
■Pull the mains plug out of the plug socket before a thunderstorm.
■Never pull or carry the device by the mains cable. When you pull it out of the plug
socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains cable!
■Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent
and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
■Do not subject the device to any impacts.
■Protect the device from fire, other heat sources and sub-zero temperatures.
■Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there
is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible
damage.
■Do not lay or place any heavy objects on the device or the connecting cable.
Assembly
PLEASE NOTE!
■The minimum distance of the radiant heater from the ceiling must be 30cm,
from the ground 180 cm and from the other sides 100cm in order to guarantee
a sufficient distance between people, animals, plants and objects and the device
and prevent burns.
You also require a cross-head screwdriver and a spanner for the M6 nuts.
1. Fix the bottom rod(12) on the base(8) (PictureC). To do this, insert the M6x 35mm
screws(4) from above through the holes in the rod and the base and fasten them
tight on the bottom of the base with the M 6 nuts. To do this, you will also require
the small hex key and a spanner.
2. Place the cover(11) on the rod (PictureC).
3. Push the connecting cable(7) from below through the base, the bottom rod and the
middle rod(10). Screw the middle rod onto the bottom rod (PictureD).

4. Pull the connecting cable through the top rod(13). Then screw this onto the middle
rod (PictureE).
5. Connect the connector of the radiant heater(1) to the socket on the connecting
cable (PictureF). To do this, you must open up the holder on the connector (press
both locking lugs) and then close it up again after the connector and socket have
been plugged together.
6. Push the connecting cable back into the top rod and use two M 8x10 mm screws(2)
to firmly screw the bracket of the radiant heater on the top rod (PictureF).
7. Carefully tilt the device and lay the connecting cable on the bottom of the base in the
cable guide (PictureG). Fix the connecting cable with the clip and two M 3.5x 16mm
screws(5).
8. Set up the device in a place that has lots of clearance on all sides (PictureH).
9. To make the device more stable, you can fix the base on the ground (Picture I).
To do this, use the three holding brackets(9) and the metal anchors M 6x50 mm with
washers and nuts(3).
Inserting Batteries in the Remote Control
Before the device is first used, insert two 1.5V batteries, AAA in the remote control.
These are not supplied with the device.
1. The battery compartment cover is located on the back of the remote control(6). Take
it off.
2. Check whether the contacts in the battery compartment and on the batteries are
clean. If they are not, clean them.
3. Insert two batteries into the battery compartment. Pay attention to the polarity (+/ –).
4. Insert the battery compartment cover back into the remote control.
Replace the batteries when the power of the remote control starts to wane.
Use
PLEASE NOTE!
■Only switch on the device once it has been properly assembled.
■Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches
the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible
after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■Always switch off the device using the main switch0 /I (position 0) when it is not
being used.
■If the device has any damage / faults, switch it off immediately and pull the mains
plug out of the plug socket.
■Never touch the radiant heater when it is switched on. It needs to be switched
off and cooled down (approx. 15minutes after switching off) when the tilt angle
is adjusted. There is a danger of burns.
■Switch off the device before going to sleep. It must not be switched on without
supervision so that you can intervene immediately if there are any faults.
■For safety reasons, the radiant heater cannot be switched on if it is directed
upwards.
■The device has a safety shutoff which switches off the device if it topples over.

1. Set the tilt angle of the radiant heater(1) before switching it on. To do this, undo the
locking screws and tighten them again after you have set the angle (PictureB). Use
the large hex key to do this. Never adjust the tilt angle while the locking screws
are tightened! Do not direct the radiant heater upwards!
2. Plug the mains plug into a plug socket.
3. Flip the main switch0/I on the radiant heater to positionI.
4. Operate the device either using the control button on the radiant heater or the
remote control(6):
–Press the control button on the radiant heater several times to switch on the
device, increase the heat level and switch the device off again. There are three
heat levels.
–You can use the remote control to switch the device on and off again using the
button.
–The remote control has a dedicated button for each heat level:
Level 1, Level 2, Level 3
Press one of the buttons.
5. Move the main switch0/ I to position0after using the device.
Cleaning and Storage
PLEASE NOTE!
■Allow the device to cool down before cleaning it.
■Do not use alcohol or other caustic or abrasive cleaners or rough sponges to
clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.
• Regularly dust the device.
• Wipe the device with a damp cloth if necessary. A mild cleaning agent may also be
used for stubborn dirt. Then allow the device to dry completely.
• If the device is not going to be used for a prolonged period, store it in a cool and dry
place protected from dust out of the reach of children and animals.

Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact our customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!

not dispose of the device as normal domestic waste, but rather in an environ-
