2 BIKE CARRIER
IMPORTANT
The Platform bicycle carrier is designed to be mounted onto towball.
Carries 2 - bikes.
When carrying bicycles on long journeys, regularly check bolts and straps are secure.
The following items will be in your box
INSTRUCTIONS
Please follow instructions carefully before installation
x 1
x 1 Hex spanner
2 Bike Platform Rack
WEIGHT LIMIT: 30KG (15kgs per bike)
INDEMNITY: PLEASE REFER TO THE HOLDFAST WEBSITE,
www.holdfast.co.za, FOR THE WARRANTY.
PLEASE NOTE: CHANNELS NEED TO BE SHIFTED OUTWARDS USING THE SPANNER
PROVIDED.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that you tighten the bolt securing your rack to the towball
tightly. Use the spanner provided.
IMPORTANT: Plug 7 pin plug into your vehicle’s
plug receiver and check that your lights are
working correctly.
Your Platform Rack can be locked and secured to your vehicle simply with a
pad-lock. Follow the instructions below on how to lock your rack onto your
towball.
• Bicycles must be mounted in
alternate directions, with handle-
bars and seats meeting at
opposite ends.
• Be sure to rst mount bicycles
furthest away from you to make
mounting easier.
• Ensure that the heaviest bicycles
are mounted closest to the
vehicle and lighter bikes must be
mounted farthest away.
• Release lever to tilt
bikes.
• Please note: take
caution when using
tilt function. Support
the carrier while tilt-
ing
• Cable will prevent
carrier from tilting
too far.
• Use the cam strap provided to
secure the bike frame to the
U-shaped upright. The crank arm
can also be used for
mounting.
• Now secure the wheels into the
chocks using the ratchet straps
provided.
• Ensure all straps are tightly
secured.
• On long journeys, check to see
that straps are secure & tight at
regular intervals.
